They can be, yes - but they can also be used for pleas. I’ve just learned to listen to my intuition when something seems out of the ordinary - and this one does.

Could be a plea - could be something else - or could be nothing.

The good thing is, we don’t have to wait long to find out :)
So he already pleaded Not Guilty with no bond Correct?

Or is his plead still in limbo?

Since you snipped my post I wanted to clarify what my post actually said.
:eek::)
Hey Tippy. I thought your main point of your post said you thought he killed them all.

So that was the part that I was agreeing with.

Isn't that how the snipped by me thing works when replying to a certain part of a post.

Im sorry if I forgot the sbm mention. :)

I just lost a good friend, of decades. He wasn't a family member. Yet for the last 3 days there is no way I could have done a TV interview, I have burst into tears at odd moments and when I have suddenly seen friends on the street who also knew him. This was not a husband, brother, father, boyfriend. I know this is slightly O/T, but not really, as here I am yet again with a heavy face and tears squeezing out. The reason I'm describing this is because there is NO WAY Chris Watts lost people he loved. I didn't really feel this before as I constantly criticized his stone cold persona in the videos, but now I completely understand. He murdered people he didn't even care about, and these were blood kin.
I'm sorry for your loss, NuttMegg. (((Hugs)))

It is inconceivable that a father could stand before the cameras THREE TIMES on the day following the murders of his children and smile, let alone laugh. Nope, no way in h*ll.

MOO

I believe this would be a very high profile case for any State.

In your experience as Colorado Prosecutor/defense lawyer (I forget which), have you ever seen a plea deal prior to an arraignment?

IME, if he saw Bella blue, it was while she was still alive as he was strangling her. I have a child with a severe seizure disorder, and during those seizures his lips will turn blue/purple, which spreads to his chin and cheeks from anoxia. Once the spasms stop wracking his body and he is able to take a breath, he flushes pink. If a person could not get that breath of oxygen, he or she would not remain blue, but turn white/pale after death. CW would have only seen that blue during the strangulation. Now if he would have said he saw CeCe blue, while she was supposedly being strangled by SW, that would have been more accurate. But he didn't, because it was an entirely fabricated story. So yes, he may want to recant that little detail! MOO.

That’s really interesting and it would put the final nail in the coffin for me if I was a member of the jury at his possible trial. Sorry you and your son have to go through that, it must me terrifying when it happens.

Why would her phone be in the loft cushion of the couches?

If she went upstairs then it was to go shower and get ready for bed.

If she wanted to be on her phone. Then she would have been downstairs to not wake the kids nor hubby. Jmo.

So why was Chris hell bent on having his emotional conversation?
I always figured she was gonna sleep on the couch, either to not wake anyone or because of their issues, she didn't want to sleep w him. If she even made it that far, otherwise I think it was tossed there in a struggle.

It is inconceivable PommyMommy! Those who believe CW's story have only one chant, 'women kill children', and if his defense are using this too, all hope is lost for this guy!

I agree, I’ve read before of people in prison for murdering their spouse having to have counselling as even though they murdered them, perhaps in a moment of rage, they would still go through the grieving process as there were still feelings involved. The way he stood on his porch discussing his missing family, there was no emotion whatsoever.

What's odd to me is that he told this tall tale after he knew that one the major reasons NUA called the police was that Shanann missed her doctor appointment. He knew it would come out that she had an appointment. I can't figure out his motive with the play date lie. Although I'm sure he had one. Why was he trying to paint a picture of not knowing about the appointment? Just an odd move on his end that stands out to me. jmo
Actually, I don't know that he ever denied knowledge that SW did not make it to doctor as the play date could have been before appointment. Especially if she left the girls with playmates while at her appointment. Just another thought.

Regarding the phone I am curious to find out if it was turned off. That would indicate to me CW put it there as I don't think Shannan probably ever turned it off. Although having it go straight to voicemail would have raised suspicion with her friends. Just tossing around some thoughts. I think the placement of the phone has some kind of implications, just not sure what yet.
Based on the interviews of CW and friends, I don't believe the phone was turned off. Otherwise people would have said their calls to SW went straight to voicemail.

Do we know what time was his normal schedule Monday time to be at work?

I hadn't thought of her sleeping on the couch since he buried her with the bedsheet. I would think he would want that phone and access to it. I think he hid it there. For what reason I don't know. But I do think he would have turned that house upside down to make sure he knew where that phone was.

You're right I think. He didn't deny knowledge in the interviews. But one would expect a grieving father to mention a doctor appointment regarding his unborn son.
Particularly if he was offering information to the public in order to help find his family. I just think it's odd he left it out knowing it was coming out.

I just read this:

The hearing is scheduled for 30 minutes beginning at 2 p.m. in Division 17. The district attorney's office didn't release any other information.

In your Colorado legal experience, what can be accomplished in only 30 minute hearing? Does this change your opinion of plea deal. TIA.

Frederick homicide suspect Chris Watts to appear Tuesday in Weld District Court

Does anyone know if the hearing Tuesday will be streamed live?

I’ve often thought it was odd that Anadarko announced CW’s firing so soon after he was arrested. I’ve wondered if some disciplinary thing might have happened at work in the days preceding the murders. CW was having an affair with someone at work. Maybe they fooled around at work and got caught. Maybe he knew his days were numbered, and he would no longer be bringing in an income. That would sure fit the family annihilator profile. Wouldn’t that be interesting?

I don't believe that's been confirmed. We know from a neighbor that CW usually departed home between 7-7:30Am, which is not consistent with is 5:30AM departure on Monday when CW was dumping the bodies of his wife and daughters. MOO

I think this was just something they had to do immediately, as a matter of public relations.

This was a high profile case, and not only was a company employee charged with five counts of murder, but the bodies were dumped on company property.

They had to get out ahead of this.

I remember the Patriots did the same thing, the day Aaron Hernandez was arrested for murder.

The reason I mentioned that earlier is because I'd think he would have expected NUA to have called, had he known about the appt. Yet he seemed to be unready for her call to come unlock the house.
