I think the children were already disposed of.

But all tampering charges are for the 13th....wouldn't that mean he disposed of the bodies on the 13th? Maybe I don't understand that charge. I think he had the kids all bagged up when she got home, ready for disposal.

Wow. So the babies may indeed have been killed before their mother. Before midnight on the 12th.
Is that why he stated the two dates??

Did LE confirm SW died as a result of the felonious termination of pregnancy?

He explained that it was a felonious termination of a pregnancy because Colorado law defines it as one when a pregnant woman is murdered.

Edit to add: But it really makes little difference, since he killed the tots; hell, why not go farther and see to the one that wasn't even ready to join the world yet?

Sickening.

#BREAKING: DA says the charging documents DO NOT imply that Chris Watts killed the children before Shannan. It simply states a timeframe in which the DA believes the family was killed. Watts will be advised of the charges he faces today. @DenverChannel

It might be in his confession that he took all 3 bodies to the oil field at the same time

The charge in the presser was just read as "unlawful termination of a pregnancy." Period. No mention of "leading to death."

The code section shows they intended to terminate the pregnancy when they did what they did and that if it leads to her death it is a different class of felony:

2016 Colorado Revised Statutes :: Title 18 - :: Criminal Code :: Article 3.5 - :: Offenses Against Pregnant Women :: § 18-3.5-103. Unlawful termination of pregnancy in the first degree

The medical examiner report will show the times of death to determine whether the little children were murdered first.

There could be quite a lengthy number of hours between the murders of the children and the murder of S.W.

(Snuck out of work for a sec, sorry for repost, marking spot):

“The Weld County District Attorney’s Office said Watts, 33, has been charged with nine felony counts, including three counts of first-degree murder after deliberation.

He was also charged with two counts of first-degree murder – victim under 12/position of trust, one count of first-degree unlawful termination of a pregnancy, and three counts of tampering with a deceased human body.”

Christopher Watts charged with murder, unlawful termination of a pregnancy in deaths of wife, 2 young daughters

I think that might be difficult to determine
