If she made her car bonus/allowance/stiped ten out of 12 months last year so she must have doing okay. Unless she was putting her own money in to meet her levels or quota or goal, whatever it's called. From what I understand, people start getting into trouble when they start buying their own stuff to meet their quota.
That's exactly what I think happened. She was spending her own money to meet her goals. He was probably tired of it and she had become so brainwashed by that time that there was no reasoning with her. This probably pushed him over the edge. But I think more is going to come out.

In his defense for smiling a few times during his interview, I admit sometimes I laugh when I found out someone has died or been hurt. I just can't help it. In fact, my manager does it, too. He laughed when he told me the story of how his dad died. I thought it was odd, until I realized I do the same thing. Or even if I'm scolded at work and I should take it seriously, I either laugh in hysterics or cry in hysterics. Both are just as embarrassing. It's not because I think death is funny, it's just a nervous thing or something.

Albeit appreciated...Have you recently murdered your spouse and children and then giggled about it with out the ability to control your happiness on national television while you were trying to claim they are missing, all the while you know you have already thrown their bodies in an oil tank and in a shallow grave? I appreciate the nervous giggle thing, but this is an entirely different animal of psychotic nervous giggle. He didn't just smile a few times...he could barely control his happiness. It was beyond sick. IMO

I wonder if the defense attorney is wondering: “Really, this is what you’re going with? This is the best excuse you could back yourself into? This is what I have to work with?”

That said, what other excuse could he possibly have come up with?

It’s so outrageous.

I’m waiting for him to implicate the person he was having the affair with. Hopefully that person has a good lawyer and alibi (if they’re truly not involved). He’s apparently not afraid to point fingers...

I think she signed him up as another promoter to help herself, and did the work for him. That's how bad it was.

According to her instagram she'd been with two other MLMs before starting Thrive.

I guess I just didn't see it that way. To me, he wasn't over-the-moon in excitement. He just smirked a few times. Yes, watching the video afterwards after we know what happened, it seems weird that he could "act" so well.

I don't think the prosecution will make any effort to refute his story, they won't even mention it. They will treat it as beneath them to even give it one moment of attention.

They'll lay out their evidence, pointing to his motive, opportunity and means. They'll show why he wanted to get rid of his family, the evidence showing that he planned and did it, and play his confessions in court.

They'll let his lawyers present the defense, but they won't try to refute it unless they have forensic evidence. There's no point turning it into a game of 'let's guess what happened', their case will be built solidly on facts.

There's no legal requirement for a jury to believe him. They are allowed to assess the credibility of the witness, which given his lies recorded prior to his confession, is zero.

What if your children died?

But a shallow grave? Plus, wouldn’t he be worried about the decomposition odor? It doesn’t seem consistent to me.

I think the difference in where the girls were as compared to Shanann is all part of his premeditation and defense. He probably was smart enough to know he would be suspected because spouses are often suspected. So, in order to get rid of evidence on the kids, he puts them in the oils tanks but doesn't with Shanann because he's already decided he will admit to killing her if it comes down to that. IMO

I think this is going to be a case of a thousand grains of sands building a mountain.

You could also say that about him, seeing he was selling it too. Why would he be selling it if she was losing so much money?

A former coworker of mine started with some kind of insurance thing or something unmemorable...then something else...then Lula Rue...then a competitor of Lula Rue...now she's doing some kind of adult toy thing. I had to silence her on Facebook and we don't even talk anymore because she's always trying to recruit me. She's an attorney so she's not a dummy. But she's filed for bankruptcy in the past and, last we spoke, was considering it again. She has a whole extra bedroom full of inventory that she had to buy herself! They just get you.

It was absolutely jaw dropping, that interview. I've been following true crime for a long long time. THAT was incredible. He may as well have been dancing a jig. Holding a sign.

I don't think he was selling it. He was a promoter on paper only. I think she was behind his sales and his posts. He was already working a full-time job.

I’m hoping she’s horrified and deeply regrets the day he caught her eye.

IMO, this photo indicates that Chris was planning the murders the week before, and perhaps he even "groomed" the girls to get into the killing position as a form of play, lying down covered by a blanket so they couldn't squirm away and he didn't have to see their faces.

We don't know who took that photo or arranged the dolls do we? Well actually Shanann posted it, so it's likely she took the photo.

I think he didn't put her in a tank because he ran out of time---if he left the house at 5:30am and had to drive 40 miles, it was light when he got to the Andarko pump station. Perhaps other workers showed up at the site, or cars started driving by.

I'm certain that LE could track his cellphone whereabouts that day, and they would eventually find those bodies. We don't know whether he regularly worked at that site, but it looks like a place that is run remotely, with no people actually there. You would think there would be surveilance cameras, but maybe not.

I thought the same thing! When the defense asked for the DNA swabs, it was because CW had decided to commit to that story.
I wonder if CW is hoping that the DNA will come back inconclusive on the girls to cast reasonable doubt. Perhaps his thinking that that the oil will have washed it away.

Wait....wait....wait. Are you blaming the victim?

Allegedly she is listed on the complaint as a witness (not the arrest affidavit but the complaint listing the charges and witnesses). (Allegedly) TBH I am shocked she has not lawyered up and come out to the public by now. People are aware of who she is. She has already deleted all SM from what I understand. We are not allowed to sleuth on here about anyone but SW and CW so I will leave it at that. And I would not put it past CW blaming her or anyone else. Heck he might even say it was deiter their dog . CW is a nutbag.
