Repetitive Red Herrings definition- an idiom meaning to divert attention again and again from the main issue/discussion by stating irrelevant side statements

That's another issue. So, he saw Nichole at the door and he spoke to her through the app. I wonder why he didn't make something up. He could have, right? Oh, so & so picked them up to go to the mall. Or, she wasn't feeling good so I am at the hospital with her now. We'll call you later. If his plan was to go home after work and clean up, he could have lied. Maybe all of that was part of the plan. He just didn't expect that he would confess.

He did make something up. He said they went to a friend. He also refused to come home until NA said she was calling the police. Implies he wasn’t worried enough to bother leaving work

I hope I can post this here ?

Personally I think he wanted to leave because his family were a drain and there was promise of fresher fields. If they separated she'd potentially get to keep the house because he'd have to pay her for 3 kids and alimony? (Sorry I'm not in USA. Not sure how this works)
If they divorced, they'd both be out of a house. Neither could afford it! But CW would have been in the worse position financially, which could lead to motive.

Welcome, Juniper Peony. You hit the nail on the head.
I have a feeling we are going to be shocked by what we hear if this goes to trial. :-O

I think that might have to do with the reasoning behind why he is waving his preliminary so that information does not come out that he does not want to have disclosed. I'm not sure how much this state allows to be published before trial, but it sure isn't Florida.

Curious to know why you refer to the mistress as a girlfriend, instead of a mistress, as nobody else has used the word girlfriend yet? It implies a much more innocent circumstance than an affair. And you seem bent on championing CW’s innocence.

What are you implying?

pic looks to me like he is messing with the back of her neck... maybe tucking a tag or something.

This reminds me of a conversation we had in Mollie's thread over what time you consider to be "evening" and "late evening." LOL

It is interesting that you consider "girlfriend" more intimate, because I think just the opposite. No particular reason, just the word I'm used to using, I guess. I don't think it really matters much.

I have also wondered if it was just a fling. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but the affidavit says, "A two day investigation revealed that Chris was actively involved in an affair with a co-worker..." The words "actively" and "affair" indicate that it was not just a fling, but an ongoing relationship.
Oh, I agree. I believe this was an ongoing relationship. It just struck me as odd that someone would refer to the AP as "girlfriend".

We already know something happened. He wasn't a monster before. He was a devoted family man and with all of their friends and SM followers, not one person has come forward to dispute that. He didn't become some evil person over night. Whether he killed his kids or not, he was definitely not happy about it. Who would be happy that their family has been killed - whether you did it yourself or not? I still just think he was nervous about being on camera, and also nervous about everything he knew had already happened that would soon come to light.
I thought it could be nervousness too...but just at first. There are some people who have two very distinct personalities: a public one, and a private one. Sometimes the really bad guys are extra nice in public. Thats when the public gets such shock!
Unless you know a psychopath (and most people unknowingly do) it's so hard to believe.

I look at it as - a girlfriend is an open relationship, a mistress is a hidden relationship, an affair could be all of these including a fling, but a fling is short lived.

I do wonder if they had problems in their marriage prior to the affair, or I do wonder how long the affair was ongoing. Not saying this means anything but based on personal experience, I have noticed that he wasn't wearing his wedding ring. I've gone back to pictures on instagram and facebook and it looks like he was wearing it in pictures posted at the end of last year but he hadn't been wearing it since New Year's Eve. I thought it could be because of the weight loss but I wonder if there was more to it.

I think my point is, this wasn't a sudden thing that happened within the past few months. I think this was something that was building for a bit.

I sort of agree. However, people who work around heavy equipment frequently do not wear jewelry due to the possibility of it getting caught up in something.

Yes... her friend at their doorway was probably a shocker. Plans were definately shot to pieces then.
And the police calls him for the garage key code. Things are not going too well. Everything is happening too fast for his slow brain.

If he regularly started his days at that work site, then the fact that he was at that location (as tracked by his cellphone) would not raise suspicion.

LE is certainly going to cross-check with Anadanko security and work logs, work assignments. They have to have lists of where these guys are supposed to be and what they are to accomplish. That is a very insignificant well way out there & there's nothing apparent that is going on there ( no grading, other work trucks or tankers) from the other helicopter video. Well other than an a strange patch of disturbed ground missing sagebrush.....

But it certainly is possible he had recently worked there. ( Someone here had postulated it might be a rendezvous spot for his affair!)

I think where he was didnt match at all with where he was supposed to be & Anadanko jumped on it, with LE's suspicions.

Imagine him rocking back and forth...

I don't want this to go to court for her family's sake, but I would love to see the prosecution throw his stupidity in his face in front of the world.

Maybe he did say she went to her friends, but then he couldn't name the friend. Plus he probably knew the friend had a key and he needed to get home to try and control the situation. I don't think he planned on friend calling LE.

Does anybody have experience with the THRIVE products the Watts were using, or similar products?

I just wonder about possible side effects.
