Evidence will be released after the November 19 hearing. That will answer a lot of questions. But not all. Murderers are notorious liars (!!). If the evidence doesn’t answer a particular question, there’s not much anyone can do about it. That’s pretty much the status quo for any murder case - it’s very unusual the killer makes full disclosure and many still proclaim innocence (like Scott Peterson). But we’ll know what the evidence was after November 19 when this plea deal is set in stone and it’s all released.
Exactly. The evidence is the only thing that will do the talking here. If he decides to speak, and actually describe his actions, and what he says jibes with the evidence, then fine, I’ll consider it.

But I absolutely don’t expect that to happen.

I think we all want that or we wouldn’t be here but we will never have all of the answers. I do think we will get more information but we will never know the full story because I doubt he will ever sit down and tell the entire truth of exactly how it went down. If he ever tells his story it will be the same as he said before and he will lie about why he plead guilty to all counts. I, for one, don’t want to hear a single word from him ever again.

I agree. I don't need to hear a word from that baby killer's mouth.

Everything he says will be self-serving. Like Ariel Castro. Gross.

As I said. I knew looking at that guy from day one he would never accept less than full justice and accountability.

So when I was asked I thought the DA would accept a deal my answer was yes. For LWOP and first degree murder for all three and that's exaclty what they got!!

But man, I was certain CW would not capitulate. After I heard the despicable story he created I was convinced he could never admit guilt.

I was wrong. Now I'm thinking he believed a lengthy, televised trial would be worse for him and his family and more seared in their memories than a guilty plea.
I really believe that he did not want his family to have to hear about his tacky affairs and with whom he had them.
They can remain just rumour if there is no trial.

Agreed. That was atleast part of it. Face saving is important to him, and a trial would completely destroy his carefully crafted facade.

I recall how careful and courteous CW was at making certain the AP identity protected when the larges redacted passages of his arrest affidavit appeared related to the affair. Jerk...

Has CW told us or the state what actually happened? Or did he just say guilty to all charges and moved on?
After listening to the DA, it sounds like he’s told them a lot of things but they don’t believe any of it. He also advised everyone in LE involved w/the case agree they have zero confidence anything he may say going forward will be truthful either. That’s why they may not even ask for allocution at the sentencing hearing.

IMO the DA played it perfectly at the presser. His tone and word choice clearly communicated he values CW about as much as something you’d scrape off your shoe. But he reined in his distain just enough to avoid sounding emotional or unprofessional.

He comes across as a man who’s gonna get justice, can’t be fooled and refuses to be strong armed by politicians, the press, defense attorneys or the public. I love this guy!!!

I always felt that that large redaction named several names, not just one. It was a witness list, it did not have to explain anything, just the names of the witnesses.

I think that just about everyone who watched that press conference, was left with the exact same impression as you.

I’ve followed a lot of cases, but this DA in particular is something special.

I’m glad I’m not CW!

They were doing their job and well. They worked all angles. They held the state accountable for not violating the defendant's constitutional rights and they forced the state to begin to prove its case.

They didn't donone thing that's as frivolous. It was all strategic and I really applaud the defense team.

I think it came down to they showed him the evidence, told him what it meant and that the chances of him not being found guilty of first degree murder of all three was practically nonexistent. They told him what trial would be like. They told him the last thing he could control was this outcome.

And I guess he believed them.

I think they did right by their client on all accounts. And it would take something insanely major for him to be allowed to withdraw his plea at this stage.
I remember you saying way back when, the defense’s number one priority is to keep their client alive, and they did that.

He might be in for a shock. Privacy seems pretty moot after it’s all said and done. I remember feeling really sorry for Michelle Carters friends when all of the text messages were released. There was a lot of personal stuff in there from her friends that were all innocent parties. Names, talk about depression and boyfriends and family issues.. everything for the world to see.

It was very telling when the elected DA didn't hesitate to take on the departing Governor at the pc. That's confidence...! JMO

If this goes down anything like “My Cousin Vinny,” Johnny is going to look pretty ridiculous sitting in court, wearing a velvet tuxedo tomorrow!

Yes. I don’t think he could care less if his family was hurt/embarrassed by the info, but couldn’t bear the thought of his facade being broken.

The was a 2 page witness list with several redacted names. I'm talking about a paragraph of text that was probably more descriptive than CW wanted public.

All part of the same thing. His family and some fan girls are the only people he has now.
If he never tells it all, they can delude themselves forever.

Yeah. There was more than simply a name there. I think two whole lines were redacted.

Well if he truly is bisexual. Then his fan club may have larger numbers.

So Bubba may force him out of the closet sooner or later.
Bubba can do better.
