She was anxious to get home from Arizona, because she thought he "was coming round" and things were improving. He agreed to go away with her the following weekend, knowing he was never actually going to go. The tragedy is never ending.

She thought he was planning a getaway to Aspen with HER. But he wasn't. Even after she was dead, he continued looking up hotels. That's really very sad.

Yep, interested and checking out her competition. I would not be surprised if she's one of those women who gets off on hooking up with married men
yeah I am seeing a picture after today of a very immature girl lacking womanly confidence.this concerns me greatly.
shanann was a polar opposite and very open and available online to be 'watched or checked out".
she also stated to her friend she was worried him having kids she wouldn't be his main priority.:eek:red flag.

the things she was 'googling' are very 16 year old girlish.
- her female competition (loooong before admitting a connection)
-sexual positions
-wedding dresses

all the while hes googling
- audi cars
- can cops find your text history?

mentally this pair where 30 (round figures) going on 16 o_O

moo
edited to add....I dont think she was involved but how instrumental she was in why he got to the place he did are very importnant imo

Holy .... Sandy knew right from the very beginning, she knew it all!

I can’t speak for federal, but for state prison (at least in one midwest state—I imagine it’s somewhat similar everywhere). Everyone works (as in a job). Depends upon what your job is, but they will work all day (like a normal job) + break for lunch. Most people are up by 6:15am, but breakfast is from 5-8am. If you work in the kitchen, you’d need to be there earlier. If you’re in, say, the weld shop, maybe you get in there around 8am or whenever the leader of the shop arrives. ‘In your bunk’ time at night is around 10pm. There are multiple times during the day when they are lined up and counted. Etc. Etc. Let’s see if we learn more about where he is going to. Then it should be fairly easy to get more info.

Pigs will fly if he's with the general prison population. He'll probably be locked up for 22 hours a day. Maybe at some time in the future he'll request to mix with the general prison population, and if he does, it will be lights out for him ... permanently.

She was BEGGING him to talk to her. All he had to say was that he met someone else and wanted a divorce. That was it. She'd have accepted it and moved on. I think she was wanting to hear something definite. Instead, he strung her along, assuring her that he would "fix" things.

I had the feeling all along that Utoft knew about the troubles at home.

Now we know Cassie and Utoft were very worried, because they were up with the play.

I think it's also clear from the messages in the couple of days before Sunday that CW had decided on a course of action, and maybe having resolved that, playacted for SW's benefit

I said something very similar to someone else a few minutes ago. And when she told her friend about him, the first thing she said was NOT about his stability or job or nice house or the fact that he appeared to be a good father, but about his cunnilingus prowess. (Which, you know, is a visual I may NEVER lose. So thanks for that, document dump.)

I do believe that CW was in the honeymoon phase of this relationship and everything was roses and sunshine-the same way it probably was with SW when he was love bombing her. He was acting like a teenager for sure.

We see that type of thing with people before they commit suicide, their final days and hours are sometimes ones where people say “I had never seen him happier.”

Of course that happiness comes from having made a decision, one that will end your life (weird but true).

Perhaps the same is true in cases like this, and CW wasn’t acting, as he was genuinely excited about the prospect of a “new life.”

Or (more likely) as you say, he was play acting in order to carry out his plan.

I really respect the way that SW's friends kept quiet about all their information. They knew it could damage the case if they spoke. And between the lot of them, they had a LOT of info.

Who is "cassie" and "addy"?

I am not so familiar with all the circle of friends and acquaintances

It’s actually 23 hours in most prisons (US) that have protective custody, but your point still applies.

Lights out like Whitey Bulger.

Did this genius also google how to pretend you care when your kids are missing? His polygraph answers are almost word for word the same responses he gave in the infamous porch interviews.

Ugh.

Yeah. I’m surprised he didn’t Google “How to act like a human.”

I actually thought there might be some searches beforehand that proved unequivocally, that he had a specific plan in place.

Damning nonetheless however.

Yes

The case is really not such a mystery.

And not much different from what his mother said about the girls in HER interview, either. Apple, meet tree.

Yeah - probably both things.

He could now agree to the trip etc because he knew it would never happen.

Unfortunately, no, it wasn't. And many of us said from the very beginning that it wasn't as complicated as it appeared. This is an age-old story and a crime that's been committed for centuries and will continue to play out for the foreseeable future. And it's sad every single time.
