The most difficult thing for me is how clear it is that SW was just struggling to comprehend what had happened to her life so suddenly. While she was desperately trying to figure out how to save her family, she could not see the evil speeding right at them. Somehow the idea that her final weeks were spent in that befuddled despair makes it so much worse. CW is a monster.

Jmo.
On August 7, She told Addy, "I told him last night. I don't feel safe with him after what he said about the baby and if he loves me he would hold me and tell me it will be ok. Give me something and he did nothing but go to bed"

Later she told CW, "something else is wrong that you're not saying because lack of communication doesn't cause you to not be present, or touch me, or love me. Besides, the lack of communication hasn't been with me in 6 weeks. This f***ing sucks. I really don't want to leave here." (discovery page 2105)

Shanann knew it was he who was strangling her and why he was. Absolutely knew it but it was too late. Only if she had talked to her dad about how she didn't really go home and followed her gut instinct and listened to her own intuition...

DOC transfer pending -
It’s unclear how long Watts will be housed at Denver Reception and Diagnostic Center.

This facility can house up to 575 inmates. The inmates are all levels of custody because they have not yet been classified. Basic education, GED , anger management, substance abuse, and parenting courses are just some of the programs offered by this institution.”

Christopher Watts transferred to new facility for physical, mental evaluation

Usually a couple of weeks, then the DOC takes inmates on a bus ride dropping inmates off and picking inmates up as they shuttle them around the state.

Oh, and imagine the 'what ifs' her dad has going through his mind now. Torture.

I have read and re-read the interrogation notes with SA Coder a dozen times or more, and each time, I'm increasingly grateful that there was no trial in this case... I can't help but think that, if I were a juror on this case, and only had access to evidence deemed admissible by a court (the extent of which we'll never know, of course), I honestly may have had a hard time convicting this 🤬🤬🤬 'beyond a reasonable doubt'. SO MUCH damning information never makes it in front of a jury, often simply because it's deemed too 'prejudicial'. How much of the information that we've all learned here, and been sickened by, would really have been allowed to be presented to a jury? And what sort of antics could the defence team (be it the PD, or some high-profile, flashy defence attorney) have come up with to prevent the truth from being heard? Had I not had the benefit of following the case so closely here, would I have been 100% convinced that CW was the one who smothered those poor little babies, after hearing his concocted story? With each bit of information I find myself thinking,'If I didn't know that, would I be able to convict?' It makes it really hard to fall asleep at night, to be honest. Tormented by all that we know in this case, and knowing that there are, indeed, others who've gotten away with sick, disgusting crimes because the jury just didn't get to hear all that was known. Totally senseless and completely heartbreaking. I just cannot fathom the pain and devastation that Shanann's family is experiencing, considering how deeply saddened and angry so many of us absolute strangers are feeling. My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to all of Shanann's family, friends, and all of the investigators and other heroes who helped to bring justice in this case.

I think that most normal, logical people would conclude that you do not hide the bodies of your children in such a diabolical and uncaring way if you were not responsible for their deaths.
I have to think that juries are made up of normal people who would find that an atrocity.

Exactly. What he admitted to is absolutely damning. You don’t do that to the bodies of your loved ones unless you are responsible for their deaths.

It wouldn’t take much more evidence on top of that, to get the jury to a guilty verdict, no matter what specific evidence was allowed in.

Possibly giving false information to the FBI....
I am not sure that she did that though, did she. She deleted stuff off her phone but I am not sure that she told any provable lies.

  • #189
I think the general consensus was that they thought of her as one of their star witnesses and now they probably will not bother with charges against her for lying. Not sure what happens if the investigation revealed she was involved in something more serious.
I have a deep feeling that we haven't seen the last of LE and NK. I think there's a LOT more to the story that we don't know. MOO

So he already decided to annihilate his family, by 8/6/18, at the very least.

Q: You got - you've gotten pretty fit.

A: Yeah

Q: Yeah? You can imagine when guys start cheating, or want to cheat, that's what happens.

A: Yes

Q: So tell me about it

A: Uh, I did not cheat on my wife

Q: Okay

A: Now Thrive helped me. I went from 245 pounds to about...

Q: You were 245?

A: I was 245 pounds

Q: Jesus

A: And....

Q: (unintelligible) for you man

A: Thank you. And I'm 185, 180 now.

Q: Mm-hm

A: And I've been eating cleaner, just trying to- the la last little bit, Thrive has helped me a lot, but to maintain it and try to, like eat cleaner has really helped me as well.

Q: Okay. And I've got to imagine that maybe there was a girl inspired that?

A: No.

Q: No?

A: No.

Do we know why Shanann needed neck surgery? Wondering if he had physically abused her in the past.

I have a vague memory of a car accident.

Saw in the discovery where NK googled SW in January 2018. You know she knew Shanann was pregnant although she couldn't tell Chris that she was FB stalking his family. I feel it is quite possible that 2 little girls was sort of ok, but a third child means he is not going to want to have more than one child with you, if that many. I can kind of imagine her saying things like, "I hope I can give you your first son," or "I would consider a guy with a maximum of 2 children, but no more." I believe she hoped that CW would push SW for an abortion. I believe this is why he suddenly was telling her that he did not want the third child. SW was not going to get an abortion. She loved that baby already. This may have led to her murder.

I disagree. The height/weight 225 lbs was taken directly from his Colorado Drivers License, and likely his weight on date license issued. We all saw CW - he's just over 5'9, and he obviously did not weigh 225 on 8/15/18 when arrested. MOO

According to this woman Molly Golightly, who claims she has sources close to mainstream media and law enforcement, there's a very horrifying reason why police wanted CW's boot print.

It made me seriously want to throw up when she said it, so brace yourself.

Allegedly, it's because CW used his boot to push Bella down the hatch of the oil tank. Because her body was so big. I can't vouch for the validity of this claim, but given Bella's post mortem injuries, I lean towards believing it.

No wonder CW took a plea deal.

Edit: she claims this around 38 minutes in.

Oh my goodness. I remember reading a term in Bella's autopsy about spots on her head. Possibly his boot tread. I'm going to go back and check what that term was.

I’m really struggling with the vitriol against NK here. She’s no angel by any means, but Chris Watts alone is to blame for all of her fantasies of a life for them together.

Watts created a fabricated tale for her - that he wanted to stay in the marriage but that SW wanted out. Why else would that have been his spin game, other than NK wanted him to work it out if possible????! If she was truly a seductress without soul, wouldn’t she take Chris any way she could, even if Chris told her the truth which was that SW was begging him to work things through with her?!! In fact a true seductress would relish a man choosing her over the wife.....

We have no idea how far he took this lie, but I’m just gonna assume, given his other actions, that he told her any lie he had to to keep her coming back. Of course now we truly know the lengths he would go to!!!

I do believe it is possible that NK didn’t want to take two little girls daddy away from their mommy, unless it truly was over between he and SW. I don’t think she had any clue what kind of monster she was dealing with, unfortunately neither did SW.
