IMO, regarding NK.......there are plenty of single men out there but she really fanned the flames of a married man with two little girls and a pregnant wife. If her "life is ruined", which I doubt it is, then she only has herself to blame for being complicit in an affair with a married man. This will eventually blow over if she lays low. Everyone will move on. Unless she decides to stay in the spotlight and go on TV, etc. It will be interesting to see what her next steps are.

I really think she set her sights on him long before the physical affair began.

She may well have lost her job, along with CW for having an affair as employees. They may have been meeting on company time.
Losing a job is not a big deal in the scheme of this crime.
Could be worse! She could have been strangled and buried at an oil worksite.

I’m also perplexed by the focus on the 6 weeks travel.

I’m a born and bred New Zealander, but many of my friends are from UK and South Africa. Numerous girlfriends of mine pack their kids up and head “home” for summer, for a month or more, leaving behind husbands who have 9-5 jobs and not enough leave (or, sometimes, money). It’s the only way to foster meaningful relationships with grandparents.

So far these friends are maintaining committed marriages and haven’t been murdered.

And, as it’s been repeatedly mentioned, the trip was originally not going to be as long but was extended. We don’t know why but IMO either CW encouraged it or SW was too upset to come home.

As for the “if you go away too long your husband will cheat” - that is complete victim blaming of the wife because the helpless husband won’t be able to keep it in his pants.

You really believe she will be fine? She has lost her job. What about future boyfriends? Just when the dust is settling along comes another documentary, then another. Oh and then countless books. Maybe a youtube vid. "What does Nichol Kessinger look like now?" "What happened to Nichol Kessigner?" etc.
Lewinsky got a lot of publicity out of her caper, and she is the one who keeps popping up in her latest twist on what she felt 5, 10, 15, 20+ years later. Nk can make that decision herself, become a perpetual victim, or move on and look for a decent guy, live out her life in a non public manner or jump for the brass ring.

Yes! In the course of my marriage there were three different instances were I saw my husband for two weeks out of 12 months. I somehow managed to be faithful both physically and emotionally lol.

He did keep repeating himself in every interview with media and LE. Over and over. "Bella is sweet and mothering, like me. Cece has two speeds...rampage or sleeping"
I know! When LE showed him a picture of his family and asked if this is how they look or something like that, he just started rambling on about how Bella loved those flipflops, wore them all the time, ( like Shananns friends said of her flipflops) and then started muttering about Cece' s dress and how it had 2 buttons in the back because he remembered unbuttoning them that night. She had worn it to the Birthday party. In his first interview when they asked him about the picture he was talking about how she loved dresses and then said " twice buttoned in the back." So weird. Maybe he does have a form of Autism. Imo

Except Lewinksky knew exactly what she was getting into. Doesn't compare. MOO

I didn't think that he did take a polygraph about the affair. When the investigator told him that the PG indicated deception, CW explained it away by saying that he did not want them to know about the affair and that was the deception, but the investigator said that he was not asked about the affair. Maybe I have that wrong.

The polygraph was completed, and CW was told he failed it.
Then an interview resulted, and CW was questioned about an affair.
CW initially lied, and when LE stated they had evidence, relayed this to CW, CW admitted this.
CW did not want the name of his mistress publicized!!!!

Eventually people will stop listening. Lewinsky layed low for a very long time and has only recently started speaking out, as a more mature and insightful woman. I agree that NK can make her decisions about her future. I hope she makes smart ones.

I do not think being gone 6 weeks is good for your marriage.
Don't ever be a military spouse then! 6 weeks is nothing.... You are either trustworthy when they're away, or you're not.

Do you really think that she did not know that he was still very much married with kids?

NK knew she was having an affair with a married co worker with children. She knew exactly what she was getting into in that regard, and she was shopping online for wedding dresses. True she did not know he was a murderer, but she knew what she was doing was wrong.

Oh please. Let's stop this already. It's stupid. I never said it was her fault he strayed OK? It did not help their marriage being gone 6 weeks. No dear there is no reason to kill ever. Geez.
It seems you're weighing up the 'triggers' that played a part in CW taking out his family. If we remove the 5 weeks apart, would it have stopped him? We can continue to add to the list and it still won't make sense.
Millions of couples worldwide have children, financial woes, affairs, time apart, attractive co-workers, disagreements etc. and they don't murder their families, particularly their children.
If we go along with this thinking, if CW has everything he wants, when he wants it, discards it when he no longer wants it, everyone is safe. No, that's not right. smh

I NEEEEEED them to release whatever else is coming. I feel like it’s going to answer a lot of the questions that still plague us re: NK, etc.

A WILLING victim? You are free to sympathize with NK. That isn’t a crime but let’s be clear that adultery in never okay. You cannot blur the lines.
I don't think anyone is condoning adultery. She is a woman who made the wrong choice and should have waited until she knew they were divorced. So she's guilty of sleeping with a married man. She was hoping he would leave his wife to be with her, not murder her and his children and forever be connected to a gruesome murder case. In that sense she is a victim. Imo

I gave NK the benefit of the doubt when she first came out with her story, but I feel absolutely no sorrow for her at this point. She twisted details and made herself seem naive, when in reality she knew exactly what she was doing all along. Knowingly sleeping with a married man who has his own family speaks volumes about one’s character IMO. The Amber Frey search and “can cops trace text messages” only adds to the level of shadiness. She has lost trust and credibility in my eyes and many others.

Sure it does. Both chose to go after married men. Both became infamous, both have to choose whether to try to make money off their poor choices.
