Can we discuss why NK said he talked to her in the basement while SW was upstairs?

1) SW and and the girls were gone for what is allegedly the entirety of the relationship. Exactly which days were they home while NK was having an affair with CW? This is a sincere question.

2) Why would NK say CW needed to wait until the girls are asleep and SW is upstairs to talk to her if the marriage is ending? Why the need to be clandestine?

NK may be good at playing dumb but the evidence suggests she was very aware that he was married and cheating. The separation talk only began after CW began a relationship with NK. It did not predate that

actually cw said he wasnt committing adultery with anyone at all, that was his first story iirc. Who's to say he wouldn't have next said it was all platonic.

I find it incredibly disturbing that anybody would endanger the life of a child to prove a point, or out of spite, or because they are ignorant. It doesn't matter the excuse - the Watts' were advised of CeCe's allergy and requested to have a nut-free home while Shanann and the girls were visiting. If my grandchild had a nut allergy, nobody on my street would have nuts!!!

I find it incredibly disturbing that the Watts' would continue to insult a dead woman - one who was murdered by their own son.

I find it incredibly disturbing that anybody could be so filled with hate for their future daughter-in-law/sister-in-law that they would sabotage their own son's wedding and refuse to attend.

I find it incredibly disturbing when grown adults refuse to cast aside their differences in order to attend their grandchild's/niece's third birthday party.

I find it incredibly disturbing that the Watts family are unable to apologize themselves for the vile and grotesque statements they made about Shanann.

I so agree. For all kinds of who knows what reasons, Momma Watts disliked, felt threatened by and tried to compete with SW for the attention of her son from even before they were married. What a horrible way to start out a marriage. Amazing SW kept her very positive and cheery disposition through the craziness with the reles.

Outright lies that none of her friends know about him in this interview. She was with Sean 6-7 months before she brought him home to her family.

She gets slightly emotional when she talks about how this will affect her in the future. She does start crying in earnest when talking about the girls about 1 hr and 38 minutes into the interview.

Well now we know why she googled his dad's name. What a liar CW is (not that it's a surprise)-- didn't he go to see his parents and sister without SW? How did he explain to NK that SW was still living in the same house with him and coming back there from AZ if he told her they finalized the divorce in NC?

Inmate Watts told NK that he slept in the basement. He told LE that he had slept in the basement a couple of times (not on the night of the murders, though). NK suggested that he open a bank account to save for an apartment, so IIRC, his story was that they were living together until he could afford an apartment. I don't know if this answers your question, lol. I have to make dinner! MOO

It was probably a combination of those things. It's not so hard to assume it was. She was likely trying to protect herself from embarrassment and afraid she might be implicated. But in the end, LE found no evidence to implicate her and I don't think they even suspected her. Clearly they believe Watts is solely responsible. Imo

Of course. I don't think anyone here at least thinks she was involved in the murders. But she was slightly involved in the cover up. She deleted evidence and lied to authorities. How long were they actually together? Could the timeline help establish motive? Her deleted texts sure did.

I do think it was embarrassment. That would be truly horrible.

But for me, nothing is more important than the lives of children. It's a big deal to me that someone would put their reputation above lives of children and a missing pregnant woman. It's about character to me.

I battle some of these attitudes in my work - people who are unwilling to testify in order to protect a child because of their own, selfish reasons.

CW was having an affair with NK. NK deleted everything related to CW from her phone prior to giving it to LE. There’s no indication she knew about or told CW to get rid of his family. I don’t understand why NK is being discussed over and over again there is so much more to discuss.

Exactly. Cindy and family wouldn't even attend her grand baby's 3rd Birthday Party because she hated her DIL so much. That is pathetic.

Seems Shanann lived in a very toxic environment for a very long time. Bless her heart, she believed in her wedding vows and was committed to making her marriage work, if not for her self, at least for her children.

Based on her interview, I thought she behaved honorably in a bad situation - but based on the discovery docs it was all about as much self preservation as possible.

She went and put out a narrative. That narrative was shattered by the evidence. It's an important part of this case.
