Please refresh my memory on why CW parked his work truck so far from his house? The distance is greater than I thought and if it was security reasons it would have been safer in his driveway with his neighbors cameras on it.
One of her friends said in an interview that the girls bedrooms were above the garage and the truck would wake them up. I think. Someone please correct me if I'm misremembering. MOO

To avoid oil spots in driveway
Not sure why so far away, maybe no parking available near by or to be courteous to neighbors? (Which is laughable now)

Moo

to avoid leaking oil in driveway and to avoid waking children up when starting up to leave in early morning.

Per discovery doc #1

Yes yes I remember waking the children now.

As far as the oil spots, I believe the truck was a 2015 0r 2016 and I have a hard time believing that it would be leaking any oil unless it had a bazillion miles on it which I am sure those oil field trucks rack up the miles quickly but they also turn them over quickly and do not keep them when they get to high mileage to avoid the cost of such things. Weird,,,,so put all your leaking oil spots in the street in front 0f your neighbors house?.....lol

I took a clip of the audio using quick time. When I try to upload it, it's grayed out and not selectable. File type is .m4a

If anyone has any tips let me know and I'll upload it here.

You could upload it on a free account on soudcloud and post a link here. I've done that with audio I wanted to be able to keep and share. It's free and easy.

Of course. I don't think anyone here at least thinks she was involved in the murders. But she was slightly involved in the cover up. She deleted evidence and lied to authorities. How long were they actually together? Could the timeline help establish motive? Her deleted texts sure did.

I do think it was embarrassment. That would be truly horrible.

But for me, nothing is more important than the lives of children. It's a big deal to me that someone would put their reputation above lives of children and a missing pregnant woman. It's about character to me.

I battle some of these attitudes in my work - people who are unwilling to testify in order to protect a child because of their own, selfish reasons.
Yes. It is hard to understand. But I can see how someone self absorbed with no children would think that way. It doesn't even surprise me. There are a lot of selfish people in the world. Imo

Thanks so much to @Gardenista for all of the updates! I'm still sitting at a big fat zero for downloads. You rock!
The news on Channel 7 in Denver showed clips of CW getting interviewed by LE, more to come at 5 and 6 MST. They said there are HUNDREDS of hours of Video and Audio.

I really want to see that
Which I feel guilty for saying, but there it is.

OT -
I just can’t help but think the backlash that has happened to NK is totally sexist and misogynistic. I am so surprised to find I’m the only one who feels this way. How come LE didn’t post any weenie (hope it’s ok to say that) photos of CW? NK didn’t do this relationship on her own, it took two.

OT - Layla123 you aren't the only one that feels like the backlash that NK is suffering is sexist and misogynistic. I'm a feminist from way back when we burned bras, feminism is a huge part of who I am. In the beginning of this case, I must have alerted a dozen times to different posts claiming NK was being 🤬🤬🤬🤬 shamed and how unfair that was. Then . . . it was revealed that NK deleted CW texts and hampered an investigation into the brutal murder of a pregnant woman and two precious babies. She lied to detectives about numerious questions they asked, and she was searching google for info on CW, SW long before she admitted to the affair. It was at that moment that NK went from being a victim of 🤬🤬🤬🤬 shaming to being a person that hampered an investigation.
As a fellow feminist, I've felt the pain in your posts and understand why you feel as you do. As a human, I dislike NK and her actions post murder and can not excuse her behavior.
I may disagree with your opinion but I'm glad there are women in the world like you. I think you must be a very nice woman.

Another little article:

Chris Watts FaceTimed His Mistress After Killing Wife and Daughters — and Seemed 'Fixated' on Her
Prosecutors cited Chris Watts' desire for a "fresh start" with Nichol Kessinger as his motive in the murders

On the day he killed his pregnant wife and two daughters, Chris Watts spoke to his mistress on FaceTime — and according to what the woman told investigators, Watts was quiet during the call but was “fixated” on her and “star[ed] at her.”

This was stated by more than one person. CW always used the front door and parked on the street to avoid waking the girls. Except for August 13th. Hmmmmmm.

Yes. She didn't want anyone parking in the garage because the kids were light sleepers and it would wake them up. Her friend who had stayed with them recently said that, as well as others.

I thought it was the garage door opening would wake them which is why he never parked inside the garage and driveway was for oil spots.

As for why his truck and the Lexus were parked down the street when SW was out of town is anyone's guess.

Please refresh my memory on why CW parked his work truck so far from his house? The distance is greater than I thought and if it was security reasons it would have been safer in his driveway with his neighbors cameras on it.

I don't know the reason for the distance but I recall 3 things:
1. He never parked in the driveway (nor backed in like this) because he didn't want to get oil from his tires (from the oil fields) on the driveway.
2. He never parked in the garage because he truck was too long to fit.
3. He never opened the garage door early in the morning because the girls' bedrooms were above the garage and the door opening would wake them up-- they were light sleepers. He always used the front door to leave the house.

The above three things came from other witnesses who knew the family and lived with them and they contradict his actions on that morning. So backing up the truck alone and opening the garage is evidence against him. He tried to claim he had had tools stolen in the past and so he always removed them on Fridays and loaded them on Mondays but that was just a bunch of hooey. I think he might have tried to make it sound like he parked near a friend's house that had cameras. Maybe he did but I don't really believe it. I assume that he is parked so far away because he came back late at night from somewhere whenever he parked the truck last and that was the closest on street parking on a weekend he could find. MOO.

It was wrong, it was stupid, but it wasn’t an effort to protect CW. It was all about sex, very embarrassing sex, but it wasn’t an effort to protect CW. I’m still not sure how all that sex discovery furthered the murder investigation, either.
How do you know it wasn’t to protect Chris? I am not implying she had any knowledge of what he was going to do but what if he texted her things like “I wish my family would just disappear”. I would not expect her to infer from thst he was going to kill them but that sure is something LE would want to know. The sex discovery lends towards motive, if it went to trial they need more then just a statement and the pics show his hot and heavy they were.

True. It was a NC friend that stayed for a month to help family after SW neck surgery. (my recollection only)..

I still think we can’t get into NK’s state of mind, and I can’t help but feel the shock, disgust and horror she must have felt about the intimate parts of herself she shared with that monster, CW and why she’d want to erase any connection with him and what they did together ASAP as a woman, without giving any thought to a police investigation. Maybe I’m wrong. She didn’t delete her texts about CW to her friends which you think she would do if she was trying to impede the investigation. As it turns out the police were able to take the information NK gave them, without the texts, and walk into that interview room and coerce CW into confessing, and with NK’s consent, were able to download most of the deleted texts.

That too. I seem to recall NK suggested he move the truck but could be wrong. Pretty sure he told someone since it was a company vehicle, he was trying to avoid publicity (media). Sorry, I don't have time to search for references, so JMO.

I recall it as the truck was too long to fit in the garage, and driveway noise would wake the girls. MOO
