CW was having an affair with NK. NK deleted everything related to CW from her phone prior to giving it to LE. There’s no indication she knew about or told CW to get rid of his family. I don’t understand why NK is being discussed over and over again there is so much more to discuss.

There was no indication that SW killed her girls, either, but some people were bent on going over and over her videos to prove that she was cruel.

Inmate Watts told NK that he slept in the basement. He told LE that he had slept in the basement a couple of times (not on the night of the murders, though). NK suggested that he open a bank account to save for an apartment, so IIRC, his story was that they were living together until he could afford an apartment. I don't know if this answers your question, lol. I have to make dinner! MOO

Yes, that sort of explains it but... I thought all the assets had to be divided for a divorce to be "finalized"? He was still talking about trying to "sell" the house, no? Was CW pretending he owned the house without SW's name on it and was going to let SW live there out of the goodness of his heart until he could sell it (while he moved into an apartment)? I should probably stop trying to make sense of his lies but he is a bad liar and NK is either playing really dumb or...

This is similar to my first impression. Not particularly upset at all so far. Sounds a bit put out and yet nonchalant. If it had been me, I would have been in shock and floored and a mess. But to each his/her own. Note she also says he said he is getting separated in June. They had not yet been on a date. So...not already separated. "That is the only number I roll with...." ha! I didn't think 30 year olds still talk like this...particularly to LE. MOO

I remember during her interview how she said he looked different, that he was sitting on the bed with no sheets and just staring at her. I think it was between 9:00 and 11:00. I wonder if that was right after he murdered the kids. Unless I'm confusing that with later on in the day. But either way it makes sense because she also indicated that he had a totally different look in his eyes when he did the interview. Somehow his eyes reflect what was inside, like there was just nothing there. Imo

I still think we can’t get into NK’s state of mind, and I can’t help but feel the shock, disgust and horror she must have felt about the intimate parts of herself she shared with that monster, CW and why she’d want to erase any connection with him and what they did together ASAP as a woman, without giving any thought to a police investigation. Maybe I’m wrong. She didn’t delete her texts about CW to her friends which you think she would do if she was trying to impede the investigation. As it turns out the police were able to take the information NK gave them, without the texts, and walk into that interview room and coerce CW into confessing, and with NK’s consent, were able to download most of the deleted texts.

They would have gotten a warrant if she refused. It just would have taken longer. But she agreed, which is good. I am sure she was very scared being so close to the murderer and she did not want to get into any legal trouble.

I seem to remember them saying that the video they first watched seemed to jump time and they had to send it off to the company to get the bits that were skipped. Shame CW didn't have to view the most damning piece of evidence of him loading their bodies into the truck on that first afternoon when NUA called LE and they went next door to watch it. NUA's son said he seemed to be trying to block their view of the TV screen also.

Yes, I do remember reading that in the Discovery docs and how he was blocking their view of it.

I just can’t help but think the backlash that has happened to NK is totally sexist and misogynistic. I am so surprised to find I’m the only one who feels this way. How come LE didn’t post any weenie (hope it’s ok to say that) photos of CW? NK didn’t do this relationship on her own, it took two.

You’re not the only one who feels that way. While I think NK made some decisions/ took actions that show bad judgement, I don’t think she deserves this much vitriol or had any clue what she was dealing with! (Nor did ANYONE.). I’m also just bored of talking about her, I came here to sleuth the crime (murders) not the affair.
