He’s got his arms up like he’s ready to be arrested right there. So weird.

Apparently it means he is stunned

Thinking about it I do this too - like when you missed a move in a chess game

When we clasp our hands behind our head with elbows pointing forward, it signals disbelief and great surprise. A surprise so great that we are inclined to disbelief and denial. It communicates the message, “This is impossible. It can’t be true. I can't believe it happened?”

I don't think it was necessarily someone giving the video for money? It may have just been turned over to the DA's office because of a resemblance/possible sighting of CW. I think DM got the video as part of the discovery records - not from the gas station.

You're right, it does say it came from the DA's office but I am skeptical of Daily Mail. They do pay for stuff like this. I wonder if this could have been on the way to get his dad from the airport? But we know what he was wearing that day too-- or at least what he showed up at the police station wearing-- the same shirt from Tuesday. Why would he change his clothes so many times? It doesn't make any sense.

Because he knew it wouldn't show SW leaving. He's such an idiot.

Yes - to go with his mistake on his own security system (no movement triggered on the downstairs sensor)

I think he invented the idea about the back door alert for this reason

  • #124
I don't think that was Chris buying anything in that store. That guy was skinny and younger.

  • #125
yep, I kept thinking if someone had video of my place, the street, anything ....if my family went missing, I would be glued to that screen looking for anything that might help.

But his body language tells it all.

Also - why would he watch the video of himself leaving?

If innocent, he knew what happened then so he'd be interested in all the other videos

Re: NK’s interview and her tone in discussing Shannan.

I think demonizing the Wife in an affair is probably pretty common for the AP.

The cheater goes on and on about how horrible the wife is to him, a littany of her “abuse”.

Then it takes the onus off of the AP because she isn’t the deceiptful abusive person, it’s the Evil Wife. And NK gets to be consoler, the support.

She’s openly displaying her inner guilt over this affair.

Yeah - hardly surprising she is not supportive of SW, who she also did not personally know. I think that is largely expected.

There is one exception, where at times she sides with SW against CW's lying

But again, I think that is typically (shallow) human behaviour - to join with the victim as "woman wronged"

These are not sophisticated people.

Who decided these were simply "prairie flowers" ?...they look like they're from the exact location where Shannan was dumped, not random at all.

I honestly have been side eyeing NK lately more than just as an AP. What they were able to get of her SM is highly suspect to me and makes me think what is deleted is hella damning.

And this dude has an extensive history of conversations that last less than 10 mins but the night of the murders he talks to her for 51 mins???

  • #129
I really cannot get over NK and the digs she openly makes about a dead woman. If she had no idea and is disgusted by the outcome of all of this - wouldn’t she immediately feel AWFUL about how she had interpreted Shannan as the bad guy.
Wouldn’t your eyes be immediately opened to the fact that your lover is actually the bad guy, the liar, the one to be angry at?

I honestly think she knew what was planned.

Damn that neighbor had his number right away. I'm taking what he said at the end to the cop about wondering if something happened before as him being suspicious she was even out of town and not maybe murdered before all of this?

Well, Shannan’s flight is 3 hours late. He doesn’t have much else to do.

As I recall, this is when he sends the photo of himself on the unmade bed, correct? Were the girls already dead when he sent that photo/ video?

This used to make me angry. Now I'm just downright scared that there are all of these women out there who clearly need professional help. (And I sincerely hope they get it!)

SEE IT: Chris Watts gets ‘fan’ mail, photos, love letters in jail after murdering his pregnant wife and two daughters
Multiple letters are from women who appear to be admirers of Watts, with one woman saying that she has become attracted to him and that she doesn’t believe the media’s portrayal of the family murders.

Another letter is from a supporter who says her church is “praying” for Watts, and that she believes the Thrive patch — a weight loss/nutrition product that Shanann Watts sold as a multi-level marketer — could be to blame for what happened.

And Watts also received multiple Facebook photos from a woman in Ohio who wrote him a letter that reads a bit like a personal ad. She promised Watts that she didn’t want to talk about his case and that she would never lie to him.
I started to read some of those in the PDF / discovery. And saw the pictures attached from womem/girls around the world. Didnt surprise me though since I hear about it all the time down here with the Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooter. Women wanting to send $$ to their commesary accounts. Just makes me wonder/sad why folks do that. Guess it just all kinds to make the world go round...I stopped reading after a few.

That was so so eerie that at one point he put it on pause and it went back to normal programming, and what did we see?

We saw a baby in utero and then a skull. Whoa. Karma.

I also saw that he was texting at this time. I wonder who he was texting at 20:39 hours on the 13th. ( the time for the Axiom camera is shown on screen)

And his body language, it looks like he was getting ready to have the Cuffs slapped on him when he put his arms on top of his head.
BBM- And right after he saw that, he mentions SW's pregnancy.:(

This was quite confusing to me to be honest and as a pretend juror, I think this video is actually pro-CW. It does look like he's just loading his tools for the day. The truck is very visible yet no hint of the bodies. I'm just assuming there's more footage that MSM isn't releasing and we haven't seen since the discovery was pulled.

There does not appear to be any video showing Chris “loading the bodies” into his truck. I know he did, but unsure why LE/DA made it out like you could LITERALLY see Chris do that.

Did NK know he had confessed or that the drone had found abnormal activity and a possible grave at the CEVI site?

(ie: What did she know about the investigation when she did the interview?)

Did she know via the work grapevine that LE had contacted Anadarko? What did her father know ?

BBM. When watching the CBI interviews with CW did anyone notice how many times he said: I don't know. I was so scared. I didn't know what to do. This was in response to the investigators asking why he did a certain thing. It was many times. As if to say 'Oh poor me'. He just didn't know what to do even though he created a plan to kill his wife and children.

He's like, "Please, arrest me now. Let's get this over with."

Agree. The psychology exhibited in the NK interview is probably pretty common for women in illicit affairs (don't ask me how I know). No doubt she was conflicted, as most people in affairs are. I found her interview credible, even if there was some obvious self-service and self-interest scattered throughout.

I am one of the few who agree with you!

I find her interview pretty straight up an down for a witness, who I guess understandably, tries to place themselves in the best light.

Part of rationalizing an affair is to think that the innocent spouse is largely responsible for the marital problems. CW no doubt fed this narrative to NK extensively, and NK probably sopped it up, as it helped ease her guilt.

I think we can assume this. He was bad mouthing SW to everyone.

NK encouraging CW to patch things up also rang true to me. Been there, done that. Part of the inner conflict in an affair is to try and encourage the 'right thing', even as your heart is longing for the other person.

Exactly - I am sure she went through the full spectrum of views - especially knowing that she was most likely setting herself up for disappointment.

To me, clearly NK was downplaying the depth of the affair during the interview. I would guess this helps her seem
more innocent of the tragic outcome, which is hardly surprising.

Exactly. But witnesses always do this. Try to appear cleverer or smarter or downplay their actions where they can.

And I will say - when you are innocent, why the hell wouldn't you downplay your own stupidity.

I think the affair was much more torrid than she suggests in the interview; belying this was the frequency of communication (many multiple times/day), and--if true--shopping for wedding dresses. For his part, CW boxed himself in with unsustainable lies as his affair was getting hotter and hotter. Hardly a reason to slaughter your family however. CW is the psychopath here, not NK.

Dave

Agreed.

It's interesting the nexus of this tragedy happens in a few short weeks.

The neighbor was spot on with the rocking, etc!

It's eerie to watch the neighbor, NUA and her son and witness the realization. The whole case is an eerie horror show.

Totally agreen w. you. I hate to keep bringing up Amber F. because she was clearly an innocent in that whole situation but she's the perfect example of how an innocent AP should have been behaving (even one who knowingly crossed the line shouldn't be mad at the murder victim) . Amber F. showed the utmost deference to Laci and the fam.

I really cannot get over NK and the digs she openly makes about a dead woman. If she had no idea and is disgusted by the outcome of all of this - wouldn’t she immediately feel AWFUL about how she had interpreted Shannan as the bad guy.
