CW said her ring was on the nightstand and I think that's probably true. He took it to one of the detectives. MOO
NK Told him to sell the rings. So she knows way more than she's saying. Imo.

I thought that agent in the NK 2 video was so chummy, and she borderline flirtatious, that he was going to offer her a job in the office.

The smartest thing she did was call the police, if looks could kill...she was looking at ending up next to SW in the shallow grave. Seriously. He already murdered his wife and children, killing this one would be even easier. If not for her, he might have gotten away with this. If he hired a Boss Defense Attorney, created reasonable doubt..but he just didn't have time...she busted him.
Yep, yep, yep! She was very smart and very brave. I hope she is doing okay after what she’s been through.

I can’t believe how self absorbed NK is during this 2nd interview. All she cares about is herself and she doesn’t understand that a woman and 2 kids are murdered before of her actions with CW.

I really have no sympathy for her. She is such a liar too, talking about how she really wanted him to fix his relationship with SW while the whole time googling wedding dresses and sending nude pics.

She is such an immature 30 year old.

I found RW’s lack of emotion during CW’s confession (to killing Shannan) . Maybe it was an element of shock that came into play, but you would think if he found out his grand babies were strangled, he would be distraught... all sense of hope gone?

CW was NOT going to admit to dumping those girls in the oil tanks in front of his dad. The investigators sensed this and encouraged him to step out of the room to make his text/call to family members . They were very in tune with what they needed to do in order to pull info from him.
They made him feel like he would be viewed as the “good dad” by taking care of his babies one last time .... allowing investigators to locate them. He was so overly concerned with the opinions of others...this is what seemed to bother him the most. I saw the most emotion when the question “What will people think of me” was running through his mind. People viewing him as a monster was more devastating to him than the heinous acts he committed upon his own family.
He's a monster through,and through.

For me the most interesting video is of the basement

Watts has a very nice, big home, yet moves out to live in his own basement which does not even have internal cladding?

IMO quite an interesting insight into his personality
I wondered about another aspect of that too, paying some 400k for a house with an unfinished garage and basement. But maybe justified locally from what ppl have posted here, and even nk saying the market is crazy in CO. I guess ppl in Frederick don't care about heating bills either, in Alaska no one would buy a home with such a high ceiling unless they enjoy the sensation of throwing money out the window. Yes, I know Colorado enjoys hot summers but it costs big bucks to keep all of that air conditioned too.

In the first half hour I heard, NK's major concern was getting contact numbers off her phone. She did show she made the due diligence steps to having her data restored. She didn't fight them too hard on handing over her phone to get whatever they could back, not just the parts they asked for. Just my two cents from listening to the start of it.

She was heavily involved in "researching" new places/apartments for CW. I got the sense she did offer to help him and he "let" her. I think she was more controlling about it than she realized. I think he "let" her and she took that as moving forward. She was definitely inserting herself into this divorce situation. I think that she likely had an overbearing personality where she thinks she is an expert on everything and that's what she does.

I'm not picking up on "sinister" motives. Just contributing factors to what happened.
She said she recently rented a new apartment herself, so she was familiar with the current resources out there, so she offered to help. Overall, she probably spent a couple of hours researching. She thought it was important to tell LE because CW lost enthusiasm and interest in the apartment search near the end of the last week. Like his plans had changed.

Although she is not the sharpest tool in the shed, I think she is emotionally far more savvy than Watts
I'm struck by her lack of emotion actually. I thought this was a heavy love affair but I don't see signs of her grieving its loss, even if it's only loss of what she thought she had. Still a loss, if you were actually in so deep you were very recently contemplating marriage and kids with the guy. I don't see her untangling or readjusting. I think tears are what I'm expecting, but not the crocodile variety. It makes me think it was all just dispensable. Bit of a similarity there with CW.

Highly unlikely he's on his way to N.C. Why would they want him? His crimes and conviction is out of Colorado. No state DOC wants to inherit another state's problem. He will turn up. He's probably in transit to his new home. CO DOC has five level 5 facilities to hold lifers. Based on his classification, its looks like that is where he will be going.

Due to security and safety concerns, the DOC doesn't annouce moves in advance, or announce destinations, as there are concerns with all prisoner transfers of someone possibly trying to break an inmate out.

Yet didn't the article indeed say that the Department of Corrections said he was being moved out of state?

I don't think so...she thinks she was different and the love of his life. He killed his family for her. She is beyond arrogant and I believe she thinks of herself as a goddess. It's disgusting.

It's ironic that she says "I'm so ashamed of him" but doesn't say that she's ashamed of herself.

I might be way behind, but there’s heaps of body cam footage on a YouTube channel called Thrivin’ for the Truth

That is my opinion.

Her emotional investment in Watts was much lower than what you might think.

She is way more savvy than Watts, and was fully aware of how a still youngish woman might get played by a married man who already did the whole family thing.

Seen from her point of view, she was very angry with him at first (because she got screwed), and then by the time of the second interview seemed mainly bummed out about it but was moving on.

He lied about everything to everyone.

Surely this is the one thing we can hang out hats on.

I mean from NK's point of view he said he was nearly divorced and then murdered his whole family instead of keeping his word to her?

The insanity of this man.

Wow. I think they should have shown him photos of his daughters covered in crude oil.

I know this would never happen, but the investigators could have screwed with Chris by saying "Good news, we found Shanann and the girls and they're alive and well!"

Just to see what his reaction would be.
I know that sounds bad, but it would have been an interesting way to gauge his reaction to finding his missing family.

In October 2015, mass murderer James Holmes was assaulted by another inmate while in the Colorado State Penitentiary.

"As a result of the attack, he was secretly transferred to an undisclosed location out of the state.[158] According to the inmate locator on the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, Holmes is currently incarcerated at USP Allenwood in Gregg Township, Union County, Pennsylvania.[159]"
James Holmes (mass murderer) - Wikipedia

Maybe Inmate Watts will be moved to the same Pennsylvania penitentiary? MOO

Second interview with NK. Full video.

She brings in her two phones and is asked if they can look at everything and she wants to know why. She’s soooo casual. She said she had no reason to delete anything else from her phone. The reason she deleted “all that stuff with Chris is because he was making me feel really uncomfortable and I didn’t want to see it in my phone anymore”.

She was specifically asked if she ever made any comments regarding children, dislike of children or love of children. She finds a text to her best friend, Charlotte, made “weeks ago”. It was in fact August 7. The officer says she references that he has 2 kids and she doesn’t like that because she wants to have that experience with somebody else? She says she wasn’t sure if he was the one she wanted to be with because he’d done everything. “It would be really nice to kind of, like, have kids and have my own marriage and all of that stuff”.

She said, “I really wanted them to fix it. I would have just, like, left the situation”.

She says she lost her job yesterday. She hopes people don’t see her name on a resumé and won’t hire her. “They told me that they would keep me and then they called me back and let me go. They said they let me go because they hired me to do a contract job and now that contract was over”. [What an amazing coincidence ... and pigs will fly]

Lordy, this interview would have been only 1 hour if she would have let the detective end it and leave to go about his business. She does such looooooong drawn out waffling. You all are right, she is more concerned for her lives circumstances than the lives that are no more.

She told both her friend, Charlotte and the detective she wasn’t sure how she felt about CW. Looking at wedding dresses online doesn’t necessarily mean she was selecting the dress for her wedding to CW, I look at wedding dresses all the time, and I’m not getting married. They’re beautiful, I love the fashion, the fabrics, the craftsmanship, the intricate details. I have friends who love looking at them, too. Could have been a “some day” type of thing for NK.
