Inmates who have harmed or killed children are the worst kinds of offenders from the perspective of other inmates. Larry Leveine had a great point about Scott Petersen and how he did not actually confess to killing Lacey and Connor (even though most know he did). There may be some inmates who give him the benefit of the doubt. But here you have a man who confessed to killing his whole family and dumping their bodies. He may well be the most hated man in America right now.

Well now, they have by now gifted him with a new wardrobe including a winter coat. Lol. His entire life has been reduced to the contents of a foot locker.

We know CW & NK spent time together on Wednesday, August 8. Do we know what time this was? Evening? I think NK said @ her apartment, but I’m not sure. Do we know if CW told Shanann where he would be during that time? Do we know what Shanann was doing during that time? I don’t want to listen to that 2 hour tape again!

I have a guy friend employed by a prison (not in WI), he works the door in admissions twice weekly. When the bus unloads, my friend is the first person they see. He “welcomes” them! The next person they see tells them “strip down”.

Agree, or a(n alleged) trip to Aspen while being behind in HOA dues and thinking of downsizing. I’m not sure who was the driving force behind the giant house, Lexus AFTER a bk; and I don’t want to sound like a voyeur but I would like to see all of 2018 bank statements. What came in. What went out. What was left over as disposable income each month. What was being saved. It’s none of my business of course. But filing for bankruptcy is pretty severe. To be back in debt would be tough to recover from so soon after their last filing.

The Lexus is a lease that her employer paid for as long as she had a certain amount of sales. It is considered a "bonus" .

I know what SW said, but that $62.00 restaurant tab happened the night before, and I believe it had to have been eating away at her because it sure would have been eating away at me. But I don’t know what happened, I was just trying to figure out a reason why CW could be so angry at her he could wrap his hands around her neck and strangle her for 5-6 minutes. I do think this was premeditated, but his plan was so stupid, I can’t understand how he ever thought he’d get away with it.

she deserved to have (again nobody take this out of context please) at a minimum been killed passionately because he hated her.

just silently snuffed out ….no explanation...no emotional conversation.....just squashed out like a pointless ant on the concrete .

the same with the girls. no anger. just an inconvenience that needed dealing with.

you can not make an unreasonable action reasonable, is my point.
none of us will ever understand how he could do this.

I thought he was headed to one of those supermax prisons. This one sounds very ordinary and the visiting policy sounds quite liberal.

Well said, I hope so. Do you think he has any idea how many people hate and revile him?

Oh yes I think so. Things most likely have been said to him and most prisons let them read newspapers,,,he knows.

Maybe, an inmate will chuck rock hard chicken nuggets at him or barrel rush him, will bring back fond memories for him, NOT.

Crimes like this are so difficult to comprehend. Most of us view prison as a deterrent. No matter the depth of our anger, we cope, forge on, without murdering anyone.
Some murderers are so glad to have killed their victim/s, they don’t care they also give up their own life.
As CW planned this (if true), he had to vacillate between divorce-murder-reconciliation. At some point he had to consider the consequences of murder. I just don’t believe his thoughts never took him there. Was he simply so exhausted emotionally he was incapable of thinking clearly? Something makes me firmly believe he was afraid S & NK were going to have a chat. He was compelled to murder S almost as soon as she arrived home. What was the rush? Why not wait until Monday, after work? He would have had a lot more time for clean up,
& the use of her phone to return texts.
And the best thing about delaying the act until Monday is he may have snapped out of his funk and they’d all be alive.

Thank you. I misunderstood, thought she had a car allowance and could have gone lower/higher $ amount based on what vehicle she chose.

That Wednesday, he returned to work. Maybe he went to her apt for a lunchtime quickie?

Shanann had ultrasound at 7 pm. I assume he went with her?

@9:54 pm Shanann told NUA and Cassie - 'He said we are not compatible anymore.' 'He refused to hug me. Refused couple's counselling.'

If it’s not too painful to answer do you have any idea what your ex’s psychological state was when he strangled you? Was he just out of his mind? Did he know what he was doing was clearly wrong? Did he ever apologize? Do you know what became of him? Did he straighten his life out? Or is he a lifetime abuser? Thanks.

That’s a lot of questions! If you’re trying to compare her situation to the Watts, the one question you left out his did he ever harm the children. FA’s are not your typical family/spouse abusers- the two situations really are not comparable.

Darn, his friends and family are too far to drop in. For the most part the Supermax is reserved for problem inmates.
Not that politeness gets you anywhere in prison but I do expect he’ll never be a problem. Other than needing to be escorted, for his safety, each time he leaves his new efficiency apartment.

Years ago a CO said Scott P was extremely polite.
Y’all remember when Scott was transferred from jail to prison, shackled and cuffed he “thanks” the guard opening the side van doors. Like he was entering a limo.

But if he premeditated it during the weeks before how could he possibly have thought he could get away with it? Let’s just start with CW leaving that matching sheet behind in that oil field? Or his mother in law (God love her) whose first thought was he covered her in oil? Or that anyone would believe that SW so willingly would leave behind, never to see again, her parents, her brother, her friends, and her job that she loved so much? Or his affair(s)? Or that NK would be ok with taking up with a quadruple murderer? That’s just for starters. Are you satisfied with stupid as an explanation? Psycho-stupid?
