I think you are right. At around 1:06:50, NK is discussing getting fired, and I think she does say, “I’ve only been working there for like 4 months.” What’s that about? Was she talking about the length of time she worked at Anadarko? The temp agency? Both?
Why aren’t y’all showing more interest in this? If NK only worked at Ansdarko for 4 months, why would she be googling SW in 2017? I thought she worked at Anadarko for a year. Was that ever verified?

Is there anything else we can talk about other than NK? Just wondering.
Tricia

I've seen it coming in throughout the threads, and I wanted to tag along here.

Amazing responses from family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, law enforcement, and even NK immediately and in the days after Shan'ann and the girls disappeared made the difference between justice in this case and either a lengthy trial and/or unsolved missing persons' cases.

The neighbor taking the police aside after reviewing the driveway surveillance? He didn't wait or hold back, he needed LE to know right away. Shan'ann's mom, on the phone with police while CW was standing next to them in the kitchen pressing them to look into him. Obviously Nicole Utoft contacting LE so quickly and pressing CW into action, then noting his incongruent reactions. More of Shan'ann's friends contacting LE and sharing texts. The Thayers coming forward to report their concerns.

Frederick Colorado is a town under 9k in population. People really came together and made this happen, I think in tremendous reflection of the kind of (and kind) person Shan'ann was and how she touched other people's lives in a positive way.

Who knows why? I am pretty sure the investigators were not just making that up though.

I have noticed the long sleeve shirt the next day. Odd for a guy that likes to show off his body, arms and tatoos. If there were any he had a couple of days for smallish marks to heal IMO.

In the summer months many people wear long sleeves for sun protection. My husband claims that long sleeves keep him cooler when working in the sun. It could also be company policy.

I know some posters have said she would fight tooth and nail if she came home to find he had already killed her babies but this mama would probably collapse and give up. My husband jokes (but is also very serious) that if anything ever happens to our daughter he will have me committed immediately so I don't kill myself. /shrug ... I think every mama responds differently but I could completely see myself just giving up. I know she was pregnant but if I put myself in her shoes and came home to find that the man I loved had killed my babies I am not sure my unborn baby would be enough to keep me standing at all.

@Larry Levine appearance on HLN, as referenced by @scdiv

I think his point about the difference between Scott Peterson and CW, is a good one.

Peterson still denies killing his wife and unborn child. Cw on the other hand, has admitted to killing them all.

People obviously view these two people differently, even though they are both scum.

Yes just like I said,,,,They hate baby killers and someone that added his pregnant wife into that mix also. I knew they would send him out but really, he is not safe anywhere. Dead Man Walking for sure.

I don't think there's a right or a wrong way for a parent to behave when their child has died. I can't imagine. My heart goes out to all of you reading that have lost a child.

Hi Everyone,

I would like to introduce you to Websleuths new verified member Mr. Larry Levine.

The Thayers coming forward to report their concerns.
I missed what the Thayers reported re CW behavior. Anyone remember?

I don't buy the theory that she was so tired and sorrowful over the girls being dead that she gave up. I'm a mom and if anyone hurt/killed my child, I would see red and want to tear them to shreds. SW has joked about having an Italian temper and given how protective she was during nutgate, I think no matter how crappy she felt, she would have fought. So either she was pinned or drugged or caught off guard or some other combo. I definitely don't think she would willingly give up. I think she didn't have much of a chance.
Yes, she may not have even known the girls were dead. I hope she didn't. Her lack of defense wounds also indicated that Watts did not go into a rage and lose control after an argument. He likely acted in a controlled, determined manner and killed her after she fell asleep. He was strong enough to physically restrain her and pin her down and I don't think she ever had a chance to fight back. Imo

Several weeks back some of us were speculating as to where CW may have gotten the idea to blame the children's deaths on SW from (his father, himself, LE, etc.). After watching his confession interview today, it seems the 2 people interrogating him planted that seed. (Apologies as I don't know their names, or titles.) Any ideas why they would have done that?

They said he wasn't acting concerned about finding his family. He ate pizza like nothing was wrong and kept talking about selling the house.

So who thinks he’s going to Allenwood in PA?

I think I read on here someone posted that NK was hired by two different agencies so she worked at Anadarko for the first agency then when she was hired by the second agency, she worked for Anadarko a second time. I’m not sure of the dates that she first started working there with the first agency though.

From what I can recall, he stayed with them on Tuesday night, ate pizza, didn't cry, didn't express interest in searching for her, and repeatedly watched his interviews on TV to see how he did!

Yes. They did this to give him an “out.”

It was a way to get him to admit to an act that carried a lesser degree of culpability.

It was brilliant and it worked.

This wasn’t as good as a complete admission, but it had a similar effect.

It “moved the ball,” as he went from his family “vanishing,” to “I killed my wife.”

It also allowed LE to discover the location of the bodies.

The goal would have been to get him to admit to killing his wife, with the ultimate goal of getting him to admit to killing them all.

They didn’t get there, but very few people would have fallen for his ridiculous story about two parents snapping at the same time.

I think it was a tactic to open the door for him to confess. It worked, they got a confession, and it was only a matter of time before they would get the whole story.
It was pretty amazing to see his mind working when they fed him the idea. Originally most thought he came up with the story after talking to his dad, but they basically put the idea right into his head. It was so obvious when he told the story to his dad it was all an act. Ridiculous and laughable. Yet amazingly, many people fell for it. Imo

CW just looks like a seething pit of suppressed rage. I have a feeling CW fantasised for a long time about his family being gone, killed in an accident or crime, and how much better his life would be. Finances, freedom, his parents happier, sex fantasies etc. Once NK came along this gave even more details to that “better life” he imagined. I think NK reflected back to him a perfect (false) image of himself. The new baby, the children, SW were all trying to drag him back and ultimately he had had enough and got rid of them. I think he was able to carry on without a pause to dispose of them and then lie lie lie because he had these fantasies in his mind for a long time. Disgusting and so hard to understand if you are not a sociopath.

Another HLN video with a retired prison warden talking about why CW may have been transferred, etc. - youtube "Warden Explains Chris Watts Fate"

He makes the point that Scott Peterson is on death row with others "like him" so other prisoners he is with don't really have a problem with him. Like Mama Watts said, CW may have actually gotten a better quality of life on death row than by taking the plea.

Question regarding JPATS transfer for @Larry Levine. I remember reading this article in the Marc Dreier case and of course I read the Orange is the New Black autobiography book where Piper was sent to a new location. ;) Would CW be caught up in a long, slow transfer or would he basically be express shipped to his new home? (Both the cases I referenced involved travel/transfers of prisoners who could possibly be testifying in trials. Does transport work differently for a case like this? Like just directly sent to a new location, not this long, slow, almost lost in the system feeling transfer?)

(Article for reference on JPATS only, not a discussion of this other case.) Marc Dreier Wants To Avoid Con-Air Trip To Manhattan, Here Is Why
