I just watched the slowed down video of Chris dragging Shannan to his truck.

I hope every time he closes his eyes to sleep, he sees Shannan, Bella and Ceces beautiful faces, I hope every time he breathes he smells Shannans perfume and the precious babies. I hope every time he hears a laugh, the sound of his babies playing and laughing echos in his mind, “My Daddy is my hero”. I hope every time he dreams, it’s paralyzing nightmares where he’s unable to awaken from the cold hard metal bunk as he has to gasp for air and bites his tongue so hard that he bleeds like beautiful Shannan, Bella and Ceces final moments.

I hate this man and truly hope he never has another peaceful moment in this world.

I wish this to be true but believe otherwise. Right now he’s overwhelmed with his new environment, more than likely.

Once sleep comes to him I believe he thinks of and ultimately dreams of NK. IMO, if not for her, the murders would not have happened.

I think he would have been caught within days even if NUA hadn’t been in the picture. I think Shanann’s mother would have missed her and notified the police, immediately. She wouldn’t have let up. I think CW would have been the first suspect they looked into, and I think with the information they had about him LE would have gone straight out to that oil field like they did. They would have discovered that sheet, the freshly dug grave, and the blonde baby hair caught in the hatch.
Of Course. But I don't think he knew that. If several days passed, he would have had time to get the sheet, clean the hatch, look for those little things he missed. Would he have eventually been caught, Yes. Would the case been closed as soon, probably not.

It would be nice if people refrained from making comments until they read all of the threads and all of the things we've already discussed several times! I'm so sorry you have to continue to defend your friend. Shanann has touched so many of our lives.....she was an amazing person and I, for one, wish so much that I could have known her! It's so unfair that there continues to be misinformation that her family and friends have to defend. NOTHING she did makes what that evil killer did make sense. I hope you find comfort in the knowledge that so many of us love her and those babies dearly and we are so thankful you are here to share their legacy with us:)

Thank you so much for your kind words. You really would have loved Shanann! It gets tiring when people just pop in without reading. I try not to pop up in defence often, but sometimes, I just have to. :rolleyes:o_O

Welcome LunaQuinn.:):):)
What video are you seeing?
Thanks.

Someone posted a YouTube of the video of CW truck in driveway trying to say you can see his dad helping him etc. not true. I think they are just trying to make a fast buck of off these deaths. Sick imo

I know. That poster accused NUA of snooping in things that were none of her business. He/she was angry with NUA.
I remember thinking, are they crazy? Everyone needs someone like NUA in their lives.

I can’t get over seeing him on that front porch. So confident that everyone would believe every lie he told. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Also during my skimming/reading of the huge doc today, I noticed they indicated 2 of his searches were wiped out on the phone but somehow they recovered them. One was how to delete an Instagram account. The second was "80mg of Oxycodone will..." (rest cut off by URL of search). Another site says this is referenced on page 1587 of the documents file (sorry that I didn't mark it myself, so assuming the other site's reference is true...) - any ideas what that meant? I don't think anything has been said to date about him or the mistress using substances, right? I looked up Oxy. A normal adult dose is 9mg every 12 hours but it does also come in 30mg doses so 90mg would be super high but not like taking 100 pills when the dose is 2. So assuming they had some in the house from some sort of medical event, wondering what he was thinking about...

First off not hoa dues, assessments, totally different. Secondly, they had the house before they filed bankruptcy. Third, the Lexus was paid most months by Shananns company. Lastly, the only person who said they were in debt is a lying liar, who is jail for lying, oh, and killing his family.

Edit. Not trying to be rude, we have gone over these things too many times. I'm crabby. Maybe a break is needed.

Can I help try to shed a little light on the HOA assessment situation? And hopefully we can all agree it is not a big deal or cause for alarm?

As @BabyButterfly mentions above, there is a difference between HOA dues and HOA assessments. Dues are paid each month by all homeowners and assessments are doled out in the case of violations / infractions to those individual homeowners by HOAs or their management company in order to get homeowners to comply.

As others have mentioned, the Watts may have been not paying the assessments out of protest, they may not have been aware of the perceived infraction, and they may not have been opening the letters in the mail regarding the assessments because they thought it was junk mailand become inadvertently delinquent. There are so many possible reasons for an HOA fine / assessment that is impossble to guess.

In the Disovery PDF you can see the summons to SW and CW from their HOA and a portion of their HOA governing docs in the pages that follow starting on Discover p 1334 and PDF page 1214.

If you view the screenshot below, you will see that the amount of their assessment is much smaller than the reported amount, which has been doubled by the addition of late fees, legal fees, and court costs. $600-ish has ballooned into $1,500+.

I have lived in the same home for 12+ years and as the development gets more built out, the management company enforcing the HOA rules has been getting more and more aggressive, for lack of a better term. I am mentioning this because one thing that was once permissable because it was unreported or ignored in our neighborhood is now reason for a letter and a fine / assessment against the homeowner. It has always been against the rules, but has not been noted until now.

Our community FB group is full of people complaining about various fines and penalties and complaining about fairness and favoritism. It is very possible that the HOA situation for the Watts is a tiny incident that has been blown out if proportion and has compounded over time.

I saw it, and it’s ridiculously not true. What is wrong with people?

I have never see a whole entire family like his. Not one of the 4, Cindy, Ronnie, Jamie, Chris, had absolutely any empathy at all.

I think I am probably the only person that thinks he had a decent plan. I don't think anyone would have found the children's bodies, not in time anyway. I think he thought he had plenty of time to do the clean up work. He put a lot of thought into it. The problem he had was NA. He either didn't know about the doctor appointment or he forgot about it. He thought people would just believe him and forget about his family. I doubt he ever thought the police would come full force. He didn't have a back up plan and apparently his mind doesn't work that way. Having the front and back door chained hurt. I'm sure Shanann chained the front door when she got home. Since he didn't go out that way, he missed it. So although, I believe he planned it, nothing worked out the way he thought it would and he couldn't adapt. And he couldn't fake/pretend he cared they were gone.

His crime consisted of organized and disorganized elements.

The premeditation is the organized killer in Chris. He knows that he's hiding them in oil tanks where LE won't think to look initially.

The disorganized killer in Chris is the one who doesn't cover his tracks. He doesn't logically think things thru. He stages SW leaving behind her wedding ring, but doesn't stage her phone, purse or medications being missing. He's vague about the so-called friend she was bringing the girls to see.

I wonder if CW will still be able to receive “fan mail” since his new location is being kept under the radar?
This was one of the big issues raised by the ACLA that fought the Colorado House Bill to keep prison location transfers private. Perhaps Inmate Watts will have to broadcast his address on his own....

I, also, believe the nut incident was the trigger. NK played a role but I think more as a replacement. SW was a replacent for the mother, Nk a replacement for SW. He couldn't handle life alone. That nut incident was huge. His mom and sister could have intentionally killed CeCe with those nuts. All because they had to prove SW wrong. We have no idea of the full extent of what was said or done during that time but even Shanann thought that was why he was acting so cold toward her because CW said she placed something between him and RW. I hate to say this, because the more I hear about this family, I almost think, that man never had a chance.
I think you're right, and every account I've read of the nut incident is slightly different, inc what I read today in the 2000-page series of docs. One friend says CWs mom deliberately put peanut laced ice cream in front of the girl and a bowl of nuts on the table. Other accounts said she offered something to another person in the house with nuts but did not put it in front of the daughter. And so on. Either way - that created a massive, massive riff at ultimately the family's last get-togethers. It was very, very sad reading today about the issues between his side of the family and their feelings about SW. Not good for either side, or him in the middle. And boy, from what I've read and know about men "in general" many line up another female before leaving the current one. Not sure why, but many do. Ugh.

But if he premeditated it during the weeks before how could he possibly have thought he could get away with it? Let’s just start with CW leaving that matching sheet behind in that oil field? Or his mother in law (God love her) whose first thought was he covered her in oil? Or that anyone would believe that SW so willingly would leave behind, never to see again, her parents, her brother, her friends, and her job that she loved so much? Or his affair(s)? Or that NK would be ok with taking up with a quadruple murderer? That’s just for starters. Are you satisfied with stupid as an explanation? Psycho-stupid?
I really think he experiences things moment to moment. I do think he planned to kill them, he just didn't have the skills to consider all the details that would play into it or what the consequences would be. Likely once he came up with his plan, he thought it was brilliant. Only problem was he didn't plan for what would happen afterwards. All throughout his confession he is telling lie after lie as they come to him. That's why he kept repeating the same lies over and over in my opinion.
I doubt he could handle the necessary things one needs to do on a daily basis just to live. Shanann took care of everything. She handled the bills, the school, the kids, taking them to the Drs, etc. He was good at repetitive things like vacuuming and cleaning and mowing the lawn.
Before he met Shanann his parents probably ran his life. He needed direction, someone to help make decisions for him. He probably would not have functioned very well on his own. He even picked the appropriate person to take his wife's place, someone who would take care of him. I don't think he would have ever killed his family if he hadn't met her. But if not her, it would have been the next woman to come along. Imo

Does anyone know what is happening with the Watts' home? Will it be put up for sale or demolished? Would anyone even want to live in it knowing they were murdered in that house?
I believe Shannan's mom has part ownership. So I hope it goes to her do with as she wishes.

If I may quote myself above - LOL - edit wasn't working - in my reading today one friend referencing the infamous peanut incident also said something about razor blades lying around the house, like the MIL was taunting the kids or SW? HUH? That was the first I'd read of that, assuming the friend's account was true.

I thought he was headed to one of those supermax prisons. This one sounds very ordinary and the visiting policy sounds quite liberal.
I believe there's only one "super max" prison in the US and it's located in Colorado. As a lifer, hope at a minimum, he's housed in a maximum security level prison. Fewer privileges the better.

He probably would have removed her purse, meds, phone, etc., but LE searched the home that Monday afternoon before he was ready, so he never got the chance, thanks to NUA.

Btw, your cat looks so sweet and adorable. I tried putting a Santa hat and beard on my fluffy boy, but he wasn't having it.
