I think she was being over dramatic on those points. I think she will be able to find a job just fine if she wants to. Assuming she has been professional in her past employment and a good employee, that is. If she treated her job and her coworkers like she treated the investigators she might have trouble finding work. That has nothing to do with the reason she lost her job though. That is not the investigator's fault. No one is trashing her reputation in the press. She ruined her own reputation by having an affair. Many employers have rules against that but there will also be many employers who will not care one bit about her personal life. She just needs to be upfront about why she lost her last job so there are no opportunities for a future employer to fire her for being untruthful-- more employers have issues with lying than issues with immorality. JMO.

Just change her last name, get a new haircut/color and seek better mates. Her life will go on. SW's and her daughters, however, won't.

IMO no one is elevating Shanann to sainthood. Although she now resides in the kingdom of Love, and when my son died he gave me a glimpse into heaven. He showed me something that was just breathtaking, and words can't describe it. But i know he lives in the light of pure love. Just as i imagine others that die under awful circumstances through no fault of their own do as well.
This was not the fault of Shanann and her little ones, and there are no excuses for cold blooded murder in my book. I don't care what Shanann did for a career, she was trying her best to contribute to her marriage and i can't fault her for that.
And her family have stated they believed Shanann had a good marriage, and that is from the people that knew her best. I certainly didn't know her but i cry for what happened to her and her babies and her family. It is heartbreaking to say the least.

I second that no one is elevating her to sainthood. [Time for the ignore button]

<modsnip - quoted post and response removed>
CW's toxicity was his obsession with sex from new people and desire to be with a mistress with whom it was not all about the kids. Shannan did NOTHING to contribute to the psychopathology of this family annihilator, not did Lacy Peteson, or Kimberly Vaughn, or the other completely innocent women murdered by their husbands for no reason other than that they wanted freedom, fresh starts, a new woman, or whatever you want to call it. This is not a toxic marriage that erupted. This is a TOXIC PERSON -- INMATE WATTS -- who erupted, all on his very own.

EXACTLY. And further, I have plenty of friends that sell for MLM that are lovely lovely people with genuinely good marriages. It's not relevant or a contributor, period. IMO

Just listen to him chatting with the lie-detector woman! She's putting him at ease and he's falling for it!! He doesn't know that the police are on the other side listening to him. This is going to be the last conversation where he can be at ease & chat for the rest of his life. I haven't reached the point where he's confronted with the results - it's going to put a kink in his conversation. He totally thinks he can pass the LDT. He's so naïve.
Arrogant more than naive. Imo

You are brilliant, I love each and everyone of your posts, always perfectly said.
I agree with you, and Gitana 100%. Spot on!

I was thinking about how completely different NK’s tone was compared to Amber Frey’s. With Amber you could almost feel her panic, horror and disgust with knowing she was intimate with SP, spent time with him, allowed him to be alone with her daughter, and perhaps even had deep feelings for him. NK’s tone was defensive, flippant and even arrogant at times. Like this was no big deal and she’s SO annoyed to have to rehash everything because she is just so done with him! It’s all about her and how she dislikes how this is affecting her life. Imagine if she found herself pregnant to Inmate Watts? ;)

I think her dad actually brought Jim up first. The reason he got mentioned was because LE was asking NK what she did Sunday night. She had trouble recalling that info at first and her dad prompted her about Jim. Because she was at home Sunday night and Jim was there staying with her. So Jim could have confirmed her alibi and confirmed that she had nothing to do with the murders. But she refused to give his last name. Which of course makes no sense, as LE could get it anyway from her phone records. JMO.

Jim is her dad's friend that sleeps over at her house. That Jim?
So strange she didn't want LE contacting her only alibi!

Hoping to move along the conversation-- I have been wondering about some of Inmate Watts' searches.

Metallica lyrics -- could that song have been pounding in his head and he wanted to check the lyrics? Could he have misheard the lyrics as "have to kill the family" or "can I kill the family"? Also, was this the band Shannan so sweetly got him tickets to see for his bday? It was something heavy metal. And it seemed she was trying to hard to be good to someone who was maybe not being great already. There was something in that video that felt that way.

Volcano image -- some but of geology he talked about with NK? Wanted to impress her?

When to say I love you and how hearing it should make one feel -- possibly just because he lacks genuine emotions, but also could he have been seeking NK's POV? Did she feel at first that he had said it too soon, and it scared her or whatever, and he was trying to assess HER feelings? He seems spectacularly lacking in true empathy or theory of mind.

His emotional range seems to be sexual high, and simmering anger. When he races back to the house because NUA DID call police and wouldn't leave it alone, he seems to be seething.

Thank you for the redirect Abby...these are legitimate theories for the searches. Perhaps he googled the lyrics because he knew they were "aggressive" and he needed something to keep that adrenaline pumping for his next tasks of burying and dumping his beautiful wife and children in the most undignified and inhumane way? MOO

People keep quoting me. I’m responding. Aren’t I supposed to? Isn’t that what this board is all about? I’m not obsessed with NK, I just think she got a raw deal and it seems like mob mentality is out to get her. She did care about those innocent lives. Once she found out what CW did, she turned on him. She told the detective everything he wanted to know. Answered every question, He told her so. What more could she do?
.

Be forthcoming. She lied all over her interviews, too numerous to point out.
Honesty is a stranger to her. I suggest she fades away from the limelight do some serious soul searching before she hooks up with another murderous creep. She dodged a bullet she should be thankful it wasn't her! Not seek out book deals.

NK is responsible for losing her job. No one else. Just her. She violated company policy and they let her go. That led to her losing her healthcare etc. We are all responsible for OUR actions. Having an affair with a married co worker has consequences. As much as I hate inmate CW; he did not force her to have an affair. She was a very willing participant. Now she will have to live with the consequences of her actions.
We reap what we sow.

Something tells me these days he would agree with you.. ;)

It's never about doing the decent thing with sociopaths. It's about winning, winning everything. House, money, cars, horrid mistress, and leaving victims with nothing. It's also about causing maximum damage to victims, and their friends, and loved ones.
They thrive on causing pain, hurt, sorrow, etc on others, including hurting people they love the most. Ie their children.
They engage in activities such as Smearing victim's name. Smearing their name even in death.
This case has such a profound effect on me. It brings back so many painful memories. I'm greatful to be free, and so heartbroken for Shannan,Bella,Cece,Niko, Shannans beloved family, and friends, who fought, and still fight for her.
Thank God for them,and LE.
As a survivor I feel eminence love, and reverence for them.

I think he was celebrating - listening to the song.

From SW's perspective this all " came out of left field ". She insisted they had never had problems in their relationship like this, where he had suddenly turned against her.
Exactly.

I’m still slogging through the discovery docs between the rest of my life, but haven’t noticed much detail regarding CWs own online life and search history, etc. For those of who who have done the deep dive through those docs, is there any indication via his electronic life that this was planned beyond the short window of SWs return from her work trip? Feel like we have more direct access to NK than CW at this point.

Highly doubtful she'll have to move out of state, just stop contacting the media, trying to seek out book deals and everyone will forget about her. She blends and doesn't stand out. Her average looks will be her saving grace.
She likes to talk about herself and if she’s hurting for money, and if offered a book deal, I believe she will take it.

A spokesperson for the Colorado Department of Corrections says Watts was moved for safety reasons. Online records show he is now in the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Chris Watts transferred to Wisconsin prison; sentenced to life in murder of pregnant wife, 2 daughters

This makes Colorado DOC look bad that they couldn't protect their own prisoner. I bet they were concerned their staff would let someone get to him as well.
Ted Bundy escaped custody in Colorado. It was so preventable, and shocking, they may as well have opened the jail door, and personally escorted him to freedom.
