I think what bewildered Shanann was the fact that he was so distant and suddenly didn't feel the same about her anymore. He was no longer affectionate and was not interested in sex with her. This was all due to the affair, not drugs. Imo

IMO probably because he got caught short. Thanks to Shanann's good friend who had him pegged.
He probably thought he would have more time to get rid of things to make it look like Shanann had taken off with the girls, but people were onto him pretty quickly.
I also wonder if he killed the little girls because he knew everyone else would know there was no way Shanann would leave without them?

Her brother talks about how private she was. Her Facebook didn't show that but I think its because everything she shared, was just every day life. I really don't think Chris had any idea that Shanann had shared with all her friends, how he had been treating her and that he no longer wanted the baby. He thought they would still think of him as a "nice guy". I think that is why they all caught on so quickly. Besides that, they really knew Shanann.

In addition to "Duper's Delight" (I didn't know that one before learning it here), CW also does the "Surrender Cobra." A Google image search for the term shows photo after photo of sports fans of losing or imperiled teams doing this exact same thing.

This picture is snipped from the video of CW inside the neighbor's home - the one where he panics while watching the neighbor's security video.

It is the same necklace! I found in google images a site comparing the photos of the necklace in CW's hand and the one NK is wearing in the glamour shots. Oh wow, very observant of you and yep, I'm a little concerned.

Edit: maybe just similar, looking at the site he says the straight on pic it looks more circular. Why would she even wear something similar? Idk, I'm looking too much into it.

If it helps, my mom and I have nearly identical ones to what NK is wearing-and I don't even wear jewelry often. Those are insanely popular right now.

Then when he arrives home, he picks up the ring from the Lexus, and acts like he had found it from the 'counter'.

Yep, he was setting that up super early. I always thought the 7:40am text was so strange. It’s as if she would have been gone and on her “play date” by that time. After just getting home at 2am and being woken up at 4am. Right. Plus, this fake text was more accusatory vs concerned husband. You know, caring and all based on their emotional convo that morning... ‍

He could of been but he was already working out prior to NK, already had the muscle. By eating the right way, watching your macros, eating the right percentages of protein in the right order it is possible to lose that much that quickly and make his muscles that were already there pop.

This case has affected me like no other one has. I have even told my husband that sometimes, his mannerisms remind me of Chris Watts The Family Annihilator. Shanann was completely blindsided and had no idea he was planning to kill her. On Facebook, she wrote that she was EXCITED to come home to Chris and the girls and had no idea he was all prepared to kill them.

It is very scary to me that he could be so loving to her, apparently, and then become The Family Annihilator. He is being held in the same prison that Ed Gein was and where Steve Avery of Making a Murderer is, according to the news.

This case is probably going to haunt me for life. I cannot look at any man, husband, or father the same. Every single person reported that Chris was loving, kind, gentle, great father, good husband, "not like THAT","OH that's NOT like Chris", and he became an evil monster that could kill his pregnant wife and two little children.

• How? How does that happen? Why?
• I have trouble understanding that he annihilated his entire family simply for NK... I believe that sinister, serious, deep evil overcame him.

How could you deceive Shanann, an innocent person thinking that you're going to love her and stay with her to work on the marriage? How could you lure her and lie to her just to kill her? How can you kill two innocent babies, ones that call you their "hero"?

I am trying to find closure and I don't think I will be able to, despite my hours and days of research...

I relate to Shanann. I'm also OCD, have chronic pain, a planner of all things, and have a dominant, "take charge" personality.

You know, those same words, "Dominant" and "take charge" personality, said about a man, mean he is a great leader. I, personally, think those are great traits. Someone has to be in charge. And there is usually one, that would rather someone else be in charge. Being in charge is really a lot of work. JMO

Yeah, he really didn’t have much of a choice, not if he wanted to sell the story he wanted everyone to buy.

A husband’s wife and kids are missing, him not speaking would have been incredibly suspicious.

Ironically, him speaking was worse than him not saying anything though.

It made me sad listening to Frankie's audio interview with police. He was being so gracious about CW and CW's family. He read a message exchange he had with CW's sister after SW and the girls were "missing" but before CW confessed. The sister mostly was just venting about what people on social media were saying about Chris. Her attention and words were not really expressing genuine concern or sadness for her SIL and little nieces. Even if she hated Shanann, how could she be so uncaring toward her nieces? She also didn't show any empathy for how Shanann's family was coping. Her entire focus was just on mean things people were saying about Chris. It was so off. She sounds just like the mother. The tone was so ranting and hostile.

And at that moment in time, everyone was still missing. If Chris was innocent, who cares what trolls or random strangers on the Internet are saying. The entire focus should have been on finding his family. Their reaction and behavior throughout this has been truly bizarre.

Maybe I should have said influenced or "guided" him. I'm sure he didn't need the idea of making himself the victim publicly planted in his mind, that was there from the get go. Indeed he was dammed either way.

I almost couldn't believe my ears until I remembered it was the Watts he was talking too. She had 0 concern about the matter at hand.

OAN: FR himself was sorting through possible scenarios that could have "set the killer off " I found that very interesting after all of the tension through the threads regarding victim blaming. JMO
Poor thing!! My heart is aching for him. He definitely needs some counseling. I hope the detective got round to answering his questions about available services and he has started. You could hear he was all over the place, confused angry and grieving on top of existing depression. My t&p are with them all!

If the Watts' had feelings, they'd be hurt after reading SWs texts willing to reconcile for their kid and still standing firm for her own. That didn't sound like a maniacal crazy lady to me.

The sadness of it all is taxing.

Yeah, I don't think the patches did much of anything for CW. He did extra exercising and ate a low carb/high protein diet along with using the LeVel patches, pills and shakes. As far as I can tell, he wasn't wearing any patches when he was arrested, nor in his porch interviews, nor when he took off his shirt for photographs at the police station. As soon as SW was gone so were the patches IMO. The "doubling up" talk comes from speculation that the patches might have made CW "crazy" or something and possibly from one of NK's interviews where she said he always had two patches on. You can only see one patch in the photo but it is the type/shape shown in the promo videos for Duo where it is split in the middle. He would have had an identical one on the other arm that we can't see. He wasn't doubling patches, he was using them as directed IMO.

I agree, I never thought there was much to those patches from the beginning. There are alot of similar things available that claim to be good for you, and they all have similar ingredients. I don't even think they have enough caffeine to have much of an effect.
But now I see where the idea came from that he was "doubling up" on the patches. So even that appears not to be true. Imo

Is it possible this is as simple as Occam's? A pudgy, unpopular, DEVIANT guy who found a new sexuality from getting lean and toned, found a new hot chick/s and decided he was bored with his wife and babies?

Money would be a lube into his newfound adventurous life with new sex partners and his appeal would be increased by a nasty, overspending wife who ran off with their toddlers? And she was pregnant by someone who is not Chris Watts?

I think SW would have known long before her murder whether her husband showed signs of bi-polar and would have mentioned it to someone.What's bizarre about this case is the speed in which CW's personality was transformed from laid-back, supportive husband into a premeditated killer. It seems to closely parallel his relationship with NK.
