It will not surprise me if his defense blames the wife in this case.

If it goes to trial, they will try to discredit her character, bring up all of their "dirt" so to speak. But that would be standard legal technique and not necessarily indicative of his psychopathy.

I sincerely hope he pleads out and gets life without parole and saves her family the agony of a trial.

Hmm...5 BR home really? I hadn't known that. That's a pretty big house so perhaps they did have separate rooms.
Someone earlier said it was 4100 sf, 5 Br.

Found this: They could have easily sold that house and made a profit! Or even taken out a home equity loan or 2nd mortgage to help make ends meet.

That video someone posted this morning of the daughter singIng “my dad is my hero” is absolutely gut wrenching. I’m pretty sure my kids love me a lot, but they never made me a video like that! So damn sad.

Shot in the dark question, did he have a gambling problem? Did he go to Black Hawk to gamble? Just wondering.

I'm in agreement with you.
I think the 6 weeks in NC with her family was a sort of "break" for their relationship, maybe a kind of trial separation. I think the financial issues may have caused a lot of the stress on their relationship. And to me the posts by Shanann about CW seem to be overcompensating for issues they had or it could simply have been her presenting her idea of what her relationship should look like to the world of social media. But I don't think he was living the bachelor life those 6 weeks; I think he struggled and was angry. When she came back they may have had a talk about further separation or divorce, then she leaves on another trip again and his anger overwhelms him. JMO.
As far as I know there’s been no evidence that he was abusive, and not even any statements from people who knew them saying they thought he was. Domestic violence and emotional abuse are often hidden, insidious and incredibly damaging. And all the posts describing DV, how abusers work and the impact it can have on a person are spot on and I don’t mean to discount any of them. Just saying that may not have been the case here. Has there ever been a case like this where the spouse had no history of abuse and still killed his family?

Someone please tell me what MLM stands for?

Multi-level marking, it's companies like Avon, Mary Kay, It Works, etc where you can make money (and sometimes is the main way of making money) by referring others to sell the product under you.

Yes, IF they were going to be staying together as a couple & not divorcing.....

I have an aunt by marriage who did it for years. It was supposed to prevent all illnesses and make everyone super healthy. She hawked it aggressively and fanatically and it was quite annoying.

My uncle who she fed it to for years, died of a sudden heart attack after years battling emphysema and alcohol issues. My aunt currently can barely walk due to gout, shingles and rheumatoid arthritis. She's destitute too.

An acquaintance of mine just got into some pyramid scheme supplements as well. She's constantly texting me and posting FB messages about "jumping in on conference calls" to learn about how to revolutionize your health. With this product you can eat anything you want and not be bloated or whatever.

In the meantime she's a total alcoholic who eats terribly. Sorry. I'm not taking health advice from her.

Who knows what getting into this stuff did to this family financially. But I'm not impressed with it.

I wish people would realize there’s no quick fix to get you rich, skinny or healthy. It’s a scam.....run the other way and don’t look back! Lol

For those familiar with bankruptcy- is it typical to keep a home when you file? Are there conditions about selling said home for profit within a certain time period? The market was on the rise in 2015 so I'm wondering why they didn't sell then. MOO.

What was in these patches that the two of them had on themselves? I saw one picture on her instagram pictures where he had two of those patches on his back.......Could these patches have contained something that built up in him that caused him to murder his family???

There has been much negative press on the product. Apparently some ingredients need further study because there are no clear proof they in fact do not cause cancer or other issues. I do believe if he does plead not guilty he will be using Thrive as a factor in his defense as others here have opined. It might work, all it takes is reseasonable doubt. I think more people would by sympathetic to him if it was just a not pregnant wife he killed. He killed his pregnant wife and two little girls. That is going to make it very difficult if not impossible to get any reasonable doubt in people's minds. Legally it shouldn't but we are all human and it will figure in during deliberation if it in fact goes to a trial by jury.

There will be a procedure to open or evacuate the tanks and it will essentially involve a Hazmat team because of the fumes & the explosive danger ( at least for the volatile gasoline tanks. This is not a minor event

Yes, it’s a very big deal with risks involved.

I have seen some pretty awful things on these threads over the years, but this one? A father murders his two beautiful little girls and then dumps their bodies in gas and oil tanks?

Didn't a neighbor see his truck backed into the driveway...does anyone remember when that was?

Geez, that poor ME having to autopsy these two little girls.
Reportedly, neighbor’s security camera showed truck backing into the garage around 5:15 a.m. Monday.

Again this is one of those gray areas for me (mental illness defenses)..I mean, just as in other types of cases, wouldn’t you haaaaaaave to be mentally ill to do something like this?

As we see things, yes. But that's not the legal definition of mental illness.
