Agree he felt he was being left behind. Honestly in his case he looked better on the chunkier side. He kind of looks skeletal in his face now and not as healthy looking as before. She looks great. She obviously had just had a baby though so she would have been shedding those lbs without using thrive. This is where I think promoting these products are actually pretty dangerous especially to young people who may be seeing them.
Fitness today is kind of big business and out of control. It amazes me how people who don't actively fast walk, jog, belong to a gym, eat gluten free, all organic etc etc etc are now the ones living on the edges of what is acceptable behavior. LOL Really is crazy. I agree one should eat healthy and be as fit as necessary but I see way too many examples of this being taken to the extremes these days. I even have family members that are this way. I laugh at them and get eye rolls in return because I just don't get it. Yeah, I get it. I also believe in moderation too and NOT keeping up with the Jones' in every single aspect of your life. Be an individual. I think this is the other negative of SM...everyone wants to show a life that is "acceptable" these days instead of just living their life as they wish to and not concerning themselves with what other people think.
It's no wonder that depression and suicide is so prevelent among younger people today. With this SM obsession and constant pressure to live a certain standard which is really unrealistic and unsustainable, it is no wonder many are falling into depression. Today one must be in "control" of everything, their weight through diet, their minds through meditation and or yoga, exercise through some extremely rigorous programs that in fact make basic training come of as a vacation, to being the BEST educated, living in the best home, best schools, take the best trips. What an impossible merry go round. Thank goodness I am not on it.
