That was her big gloating moment to try to set the news narrative, which will look very stupid if they do find the body.

WHEN they find the body.

Fixed that for ya, Mr. J. ;)

Well, well, well.

Doesn’t this little group looked like someone p**d on their chips!

Genuinely, if Iris believes what she is spouting here she is deluded. And good for Lauren, standing up for herself too.

"Barry loves Suzanne"

I really hope that comes back to bite her. She knows this stuff is lies and there is no way her professional duties extend to this.

I am glad I made the decision in recent days not to agonise about all these pre-trial motions :D

I feel so much better seeing how pissed Iris was. ;)

Yes - better for them to have the lame duck trial

Now the narrative will be the body

That's why BM was groping Suzanne's friend. That's why he was doing the web search for Cute Girls in Salidas. That's why he threatened to cancel her health insurance.

It was all love.

This headline is both awful and great. It's a shame he's a free man, but it also throws shade at the same time.

"Killer goes free."

I can only imagine the fear in the witnesses at this moment.

With this dismissal, what happens with the protection orders related to witnesses who consider BM a possible threat? And what about the orders restricting him from possessing firearms or ammunition? Do the orders still stand in relation to the "possession of disallowed weapon" charge which was severed from the murder/tampering charges?

It will be interesting to project when snow will disappear sufficient enough for searches to be done. It appears that May will bring mostly rain to the Salida area....off and on over the course of the month. How high up the specific location is would be a factor. Weather experts can fix my amateur description. Wonder what the time horizon actually looks like for searching?

Well, if you believe (like I do) that it is highly likely Barry put a lot of thought into where to place Suzanne (and did this well before that weekend), then we have a puzzling scenario. The same ground that's under snow right now would have been under snow back then, I would think. Maybe not. Maybe this year has been more snowy. I don't have time to try and figure that out today, but if anyone has time to look at weather history, that would be interesting.

What I'm wondering is if they used something like LIDAR or at least sophisticated aerial photography to try and locate deformations in the landscape. They might have completed the analysis just recently (this is not easy stuff to do). In this scenario, the analysts found something promising sometime in the last 5-6 months and conditions have not been favorable (yet) to searching there.

I'm trying to stay optimistic.

Anyone have an idea where this could be? 5 feet of snow seems like a lot even for a place that gets a lot of snow. Where is there a location closer to the house that would still have that much snow on the ground? I wonder if that is a location that would have been searched when Andy did the search? Must be really high in elevation and if it's a more dangerous terrain, then maybe not a place a regular search team would have went?
I live in Colorado and any areas that remain shaded or are north facing (ugh like my driveway) take FOREVER to melt, even when outdoor temperatures are well over 32 degrees.

It's possible he moved her later as well.

Talk about conducting a trial in the court of public opinion! IE does seem miffed that she didn't get to continue rewriting the evidence into a "if it doesn't fit, you must acquit" narrative that in this case if not only offensive, but a miscarriage of justicem

Hoping that is what happened. Seems like this issue (involving the same group that was involved in the Vallow-Daybell case) was brought up with the Profiling Evil guys before AM's search and simply disappeared from the radar screen (so to say). Praying they were working in the background and the analysis narrowing down likely sites has simply taken longer than anticipated.
