This was the earliest map used by CrimeOnLine and other reliable MSM. It starts at the neighbor's house and ends on the EAST side of the intersection of Hwy 50 and CR 225. It's kind of amazing how rapidly perceptions change during the development of a case. In this one, I am finding that a lot on MSM information that was cited early on, and is the basis of some opinions of what happened, has been scrubbed.
I've seen some investigations go completely off the rails. Unfortunately it sometimes happens. I can't ever recall an investigation that has been so infused with seemingly accurate information that simply does not stand the test of time, yet seems to be moving forward as it should. IMO
Is it unusual for information to be scrubbed, is it done intentionally? Moo

What led LE to close down Highway 50 for seven hours if Suzanne was biking on a trail?

U.S. 50 closed as search for Morphew intensifies

"Spezze said the sheriff’s office and its partners will work to ensure the roads are opened as quickly as possible to reduce the impacts of drivers and those living in the area.

More than 50 searchers and investigators will comb the area searching for additional items or clues that may identify the whereabouts of Morphew, Spezze said."

If this search happened on 15 May that closed down the highway - IMO, I believe they were looking for her body & more evidence after her personal item(s) was found. They only wanted LE and invited resources on scene. IMO

Quoting my own post here, because I did find the case of Tara Calico. However, several people actually saw her on her bike, unlike Suzanne's case.
What do you mean never found? The bike? The rider?

A cursory Google search turns up a surprising number of "hit the bike/abduct the woman" stories. Some of them lived, some of them didn't, and some were never found. I certainly don't rule that out in SM's case, and that would also cause LE to lock everything down in order to hide what they know for a while.

Me feeling is that LE doesn’t believe this is what happened, based on what they did AFTER they locked down the scene.

But you’re right. There are several cases of that nature. It’s certainly worth it to explore that possible scenario.

I’d love to see a list of such cases along with:

1. Age and other demographics of the abducted person.
2. General time (if known) of abduction.
3. When the bike was found in relation to time of disappearance and time of discovery of victim.
4. Where the bike was found and in what condition (hidden, dumped, left there, propped up, etc.,) in relation to abduction site and discovery of the body/perp location.

I know of Sierah Joughin’s case but not those details, except I think the bike was found on the perp’s property.

There was another case that I feel super embarrassed that I can’t remember the name of. She was a sweet girl who went missing while on a bike ride in the south. I think LA but I’m not sure. Her perp eventually pled guilty, I believe. I remember her family had posters or memes with the words “Keep Calm
And Find...” and I can’t remember her name. Ugh.

Does anyone know?

I don’t know where her bike was found or when.

And how about others?

I thought it was due to LE finding a personal item of Suzanne’s.

We don't know what type of tires she had her on bicycle...I bought my first custom made mountain bike from Gary Fisher in 1982, and rode it on long distance bicycle rides (over 90 miles a day)...on both highways and off road terrain...using a cross tire (a knobby mountain bike tire with a center bead) that allowed for off road riding stability, while rolling smoothly on highways. IMO, most mountain bike riders do ride on the highway and off road, while road bicyclists stay only on the road.

Nice!! I too ride a mountain bike (nothing close to as cool as you had) on roads/highway because I ride it to and from the trails. I see many people doing the same thing.

The ring in my opinion means nothing. The current location of it might be a puzzle piece, though.

JMO
I think the ring may become important if anyone did harm to SM.

Because even if it was a stranger abduction or not then that person may have taken it. So if LE can somehow find it like at another state's pawn shop or something then it may help to solve the case.

I think I finally get it...The bike was found closer to Fosse Dam... close to the right of way “vehicle somewhere suspicious” concealment. Log or even wire across road, creates accident. Personal item indicating where this vehicle left after grabbing SM. MOS Board w nails was vicious, 4’ x4’ plywood w 30 plus nails deliberate.MOO
Possibly random stalking narrowed down to SM.
IMO this was a deliberate act. Stalker could have surveilled her home from the park which connected by trails. Wonder if stalkers surveillance went back all the way to April 6-8 when local yokel failed to show up. Or if really BG just stopped in.Exit on 50 w/o a trail. Back to park or anywhere.

Thanks everyone for helping to explain where we think we see BM pointing to the alleged bike wreck scene. Ive had a difficult time trying to find it on google maps.

The explanations in past few pages really helped.

Interestingly, there was a case of a missing bicyclist in Indiana. o_O

It is my impression that BM began revealing details that he had no way of knowing, if he were innocent of staging the scene. A big 'oh sh...' moment. Moo
My mind is racing with this one. As a big game hunter BM has to know his theory regarding the cat dragging her away without a trace is impossible, ridiculous and easily disproved. Why is he pushing it when he knows no one will believe it? The abduction theory is more likely. Why will LE not tell according to the TNcondition the bike was found in. Why will LE not tell BM the personal item belonging to SM they found on the first evening? Why would BM nearly slip up telling ‘Dad with a phone the way the bike was laid out and show fury as LE for mishandling the bike. They are all connected.
1.The cat story is not for us to believe, it is to give the impression that BM is clueless.
2. LE found incriminating evidence at the scene regarding both the bike and the mysterious personal item found. Hence BM shared that LE would not share with him the item found. The odds of LE not cooperating with the spouse on the initial search in the first evening are very low.
3. BM let slip he knew how the bike was laid out before checking himself. TN begged the public to ask LE for the condition of the bike, LE has not shared the condition of the bike for a reason, if they believed BM was innocent they would have.
4. There is something about the bike that implicates BM, hence his fury at LE for ‘mishandling‘ it. He has already started his defense.

With respect and empathy, a child going missing (or thought to be missing) is much, much different from a full-grown middle-age adult going missing. To compare the emotions of a parent of a (missing) minor child to the missing adult SM case is incongruous.

IMO

From a superficial perspective I agree because when an adult goes missing, stranger abduction isn't the first thing you think of because we assume that adults are a lot more savvy than kids who can be disarmed with candy or a lost puppy. But even so, I think parents and siblings of a missing adult who disappeared from the face of the earth would disagree with you in terms of loss and terror of the unknown. There is no scale to weigh one against the other. At least with a missing adult you have the luxury of rationalizing that their absence could be voluntary, not so with children. There are over 600,000 people reported missing every year and about 2000 never get resolved. There is no one-upmanship with loss.

Every time I hear or read BM say "cat got her" or some derivative of that, I look at my 8 lb cat and think, "nahhhh." Not that the big cats aren't strong or able to drag many lbs, but it's zebra territory for me. "When you hear hooves think horses, not zebras."

IMO
