If BM believes his wife was abducted, you'd think he would have the army ranger buddy with all those tours under his belt watching his daughters around the clock --if not hired bodyguards.

.............and you believe that he didn't? (I believe that he did do exactly that) IMO

Not aimed at you Janeumayer, just launching off your post.

JMO, if an arrest is made in relation to this case. If it's not BM initially, that doesn't mean he couldn't be arrested later.
Hint: think murder for hire ...
Could be murder for hire, disgruntled employee, disgruntled customer, disgruntled competitor, aiding and abetting, accessory after the fact... Possibilities are endless... IMO MOO

An observation about wishful thinking, circular logic and rumors and outright lies - specifically the one last night.

It's funny/not funny/disturbing to see Websleuths' thoughts, ideas, opinions and proposed theories show up as someone else's fact on sites like fb that then get picked up and published up by random youtubers encouraging more gossipy websites to publish it as “a relative of the Ms stated that. _______________”. A reporter or journalist then actually investigates it (thank goodness), and it's published yet again, but this time with facts disputing the rumor.

No wonder the alleged relative removed the original fb post. I wonder who that person is.

The business (or ego) of some people wanting to be the first to publish something stating it as fact, even if it's just a opinion, theory or repeating a "rumor", is *fill in the blank*. Seriously, why do something like that when it's up to LE to announce something like that.

I mean, I'm just guessing this is what happened, I could be wrong.

I think the “alleged relative” wanted more views for his channel. If he truly is a relative, shame on him for sensationalizing it. IMO MOO

Whether she's living in the family home or not.

I’ve seen posts that were very nearly verbatim to theories being discussed here by WSers show up on social media sites. Sometimes I can actually tell which WSer is posting under a different name.

Same, no sleuthing required. I would never ever out anyone, though.

I'll take your word for it. Even that statute will no longer apply to this situation after a 21st birthday, which is..............................soon IMO
My reply was limited to the Colorado Age of majority misstated as 19 by OP (it's 18). I have no idea what pertains to the family of this case. It's off limits for discussion.

We both know my opinion is irrelevant. Maybe BM did or did not hire guards. MSM has not reported anything that I'm aware of.

I'd even bet copy/pasted, so actually verbatim. *whistles*

ETA: Not that it matters. It's not illegal or anything.

The reason for that is because in this County, in order for them to provide you with an inmate information, you need to provide them their full name.
I understand the reason I guess, but it's frustrating to not be able to access public information. In LA, you can do an inmate search the county website and learn:

Name, Booking Number, Age
Birthdate, Height, Weight, Race, Hair, Eyes, Sex
The LE department
Location (facility name and address) where the inmate is housed
The bail amount
The Charge Level (example: F = Felony)
Date and Time of Booking
Date and Time of Arrest
Location of Arrest
If Permanent Housing is assigned, the Date, Time and Address
Court Date, Court Time
Sentence Date
Length of Sentence
Disposition of Case (Dismissed,
Release Date or No Information
Case Numbers (some only partial)
Next Court Code
Fines
Facility Visiting Information
Schedule a Visit

All the counties in Colorado are different regarding the ability to search their jail inmate roster online (or if you have to phone). Nonetheless, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is the repository for all the criminal history arrest records for the State of Colorado
only. It's fee-based per search but you can search the entire state at the link below.

The Chaffee County Jail command center answers their phone 24/7 and will confirm that they have the inmate and what their bond status is, nothing more will be divulged regardless of your relation to the inmate.

The Jail # 719/539-7150

Also, if you call the non-emergency number at their website (also manned 24/7), they will give you the number to the Jail that I posted above.

Yes, but that only works if you know the perp’s name....

Other than providing the roster count, I believe most county inmate search sites today also require the perps name or booking number at a minimum.

I remember years ago some would separately list the arrested in the last 24 hours but databases today are pretty sophisticated including links for inmate funds, canteen gifts, email, and video visitation.

... After all, if BM felt slighted by either his wife and/or a coworker he would have taken whatever steps necessary to eliminate whatever he found unsatisfactory. IMO

I'm curious why you state this. Are there stories about BM being a vindictive person? I haven't heard anything like that.

Yes! I used to love that. Vine link! Searching all the bookings in the past 24 hours/week. Those were the days!

LE does not put public safety or looking for a missing person on the back burner for the sake of tourism. IMO
I hope not! It appeared that way to someone in the Allison Feldman case in Scottsdale.
