What! How Many Years?
Earlier posts discussed length of absence required for court to declare MisPers dead.
Refresher: in Colorado = 5 years, a shorter time than past requirements in other places.

"From 1808 until 1946, echoing the words of the Code Napoleon, ...
required a lapse of thirty years from putting into provisional possession....
absolute possession could be granted..." in 30 to 37 years

Just another ;)fun fact surfacing after a dive down WS rabbit hole.

Hopefully Lauren knew about the restaurant rumor, it was said Suzanne picked up lunch to go on Friday, May 8th before Mother's Day.
Well, according to the cleaning lady that saw the two of them walking together, she was alive on Wednesday May 6th. LE did request local video from May 8th on to May 12th? It would be nice to have that rumour confirmed or disproved.

Wow, a couple things of note:

Lauren will be doing a profile of Suzanne this week, as she spoke to a close friend of hers.

Lauren alludes to a neighbor hearing things at the site of that 3 day search (the construction site BM worked on). She apparently tipped off investigators that she heard certain things over the Mother’s Day period, and that appears to be the reason for the search.
Lauren is our voice as we wait in Limbo.
MOO.

I found it disturbing that BM is back at the gym not to mention all the other stuff he’s up to. Life appears to go on for him. Hasn’t missed a step. Selling, buying, getting a well drilled, working out, getting buff. He sure has his priorities right, eh?? (insert sarcasm font)

This! I thought the same thing.
Also she said no members of the gym have been asked to search.

Great job by LS. I am waiting eagerly to see what she has to say this week.

On the topic of why it is so important for LE to keep everything under wraps, I again cite the Fahim Saleh investigation. He was murdered just a week ago, the suspect caught on video, and lots of info traced to his phone/credit card, but his defense attorneys are already saying that leaks from LE are preventing their client from having a fair trial. Fahim Saleh murder: Tyrese Haspil pleads not guilty, leaks questioned Specific quote of interest:
Such reported leaks, The Legal Aid Society said, “are emblematic of a culture within the police department to rush to judgment and strip individual citizens of their fundamental right to a fair and impartial jury,” according to a statement Monday, saying Haspil’s “Constitutional rights are in peril — namely his presumption of innocence, his right to due process, and ultimately his critical right to a fair trial before a jury of his fellow New Yorkers.”

She’s this case’s “Sam Kraemer,” (Kelsey Berreth reporter).

I loved Sam (who didn't?) but LS's job is infinitely tougher than Sam's.

He had so much more material to work with 2 months into the Berreth case, it wasn't even funny.
Sam had a plethora of content to cover with viewers, on account of the mountain of evidence PF left in his moronic wake.

In contrast, LS is trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip.

It reminds me of writing assignments back in junior high, where they'd give you a few keywords, "Clock, Rocking Chair, Old Man," etc., and you had to craft a complete, cohesive and interesting story out of those few listed items.

LS is tasked with building public interest in a story with only a few keywords:

"Bike Ride."
"Mother's Day."
"Missing Woman."

It's a tough assignment.
I give her a ton of credit for sticking with it so tenaciously.
SM has a champ in her corner.

LS is giving Suzanne a voice.

JMO.

Makes sense since the gym had been closed for at least a couple of months at that point, from covid. Not like the gym members would be seeing each other.

Plus, there were already enough searchers who had training and were members of or affiliated with LE doing searches. LE was very clear that the public's assistance was not needed in that respect.

One thought about the surprise some have for leaks not occurring from people outside of LE. If LE hasn't told you anything then there's nothing to leak, even if you wanted to spread some of the info.

LE is making sure the case is protected and that means kept away from people who are not authorized to know. Good for them; a protected case means a 'cleaner' prosecution when the time comes. The defense won't be able to complain their client's right to assumption of innocence was dismantled, when the state is literally saying nothing that could be considered legally impacting any POI in the case.

Yes! Which leads me to wonder what all that G I V E Me money was for?? A well, a driveway? How does one move on so quickly with so little effort put into finding out what happened to your beloved wife? Why did TN step away from the $$$ fund and FB page dedicated to finding his beloved aunt? Did he start to question the narrative he’d been fed? Did he begin to feel he’d been used?? JMHO

Check the media thread on that. I'm almost certain LE's request with the dates included was made public more than once.

The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office is asking neighbors to preserve any surveillance video they have from doorbells and security and wildlife cameras from May 8-12. They ask you not to send it in, but instead hang onto it in case an investigator reaches out.

Thats what I wondered when the last message was worded as gratitude from 'the extended family'. Its as if they tried but their assistance wasnt wanted, or being offered, any longer. Jmo.

I don’t buy it. If I had a loved one missing, Covid or no Covid, I could summon up a couple hundred or more just by picking up the phone. Who are we kidding? BM isn’t looking for SM, LE ARE. BM “believes” she was abducted (although LE don’t appear to believe that), when he’s not matter of factly telling TD how lions drag their prey up. He believes LE screwed up the crime scene. I believe he may have screwed himself. Royally, to boot! Time will tell.
JMHO as always :)

TN turned over control of the GiveMeMoney fund to the nuclear family, specifically the eldest daughter. For whatever reason, TN's involvement is not needed (or maybe not wanted) anymore. It would be a lot less pressure on him, as being gatekeeper takes time and effort, and he has a family and job.
