And my problem with that is it automatically assumes guilt. I am trying to not ASSUME here, but try to get to the facts. If BM planted the bike then he may very well likely be pointing to that spot and LE would see this as a dead give away. (BUT if he is guilty could he be playing dumb? After all if the bike is a plant, it is a ruse, so pointing to another area could be trying to convince LE he is innocent? Another ruse?) It is a rhetorical question, "Where was the bike found?" because LE has the answer and they are not saying anything. TD and LS got locked onto tunnel vision and don't walk up and down the road and ask themselves, "Could it really be somewhere else?" That is investigative journalism. All of this is not factual and therefore the conclusions arrived at are not base on fact. But as MassGuy points out, LS probably has done her level best to determine the facts and myths about the bike and LE won't answer them.

Imo, he was not trying to play dumb, but smart, considering all of his exaggerated comments seemingly to establish credibility. It is true we dont know which parts of his story are true or false. But in the end, does it matter what the exact location of the found bike was? The exact location of the bike does not weigh on my opinion of his guilt or innocence. Rather, the whole of LE actions very much does.

And I haven't seen anyone else but him. While I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt, he isn't exactly a disinterested third party. If he did it and he planted the bike he may have just hung himself. If he is innocent I still think he shot himself in the foot with that TD video. And if he is guilty, it may be a red herring on his part to convince LE he is innocent. The latest TD video is shot full of holes and is even worse yet. TD doesn't even pretend that there may be another spot or that BM mislead him, if he mislead him.

That's not true, she is asking questions as to the where 'the bike' was found. You'll see.
ETA: She did qualify her answers to questions asked that that is where TD said BM explained where the bike was found.

I think LE might have the bike in their possession but something about it gave LE hinky vibes.
Had the bike sustained damage ?
Was it wiped clean ?
Someone in a past thread suggested that if it was locked in a particular way that it wouldn't have been rideable.
And if LE discovered that....
Just one little fib will tell them that all is not as it looks.

Or maybe the description by a certain person as to where it could be found, and voila' !

There's no 'if' he mislead TD, there would be no reason to.
ETA: Unless, someone who isn't LE told him where it was found. That's always a possibility.

If he’s innocent, then everything else is just noise (TD video, his video).

Law enforcement appears to have honed in on him well before these things, and although intriguing, they aren’t going to help build a case against him.

It’s evidence that will do that, like the evidence that convinced law enforcement not to handle this like an abduction, and allowed them to get those search warrants.

It’s the results of those warrants that may bury him (house x 2, truck, phone).

We saw some very quick lab results in the Gannon Stauch case, with much of it being done in a matter of weeks (they had enough to arrest his killer within 5 weeks of the murder).

Thanks to the resources of the FBI and CBI here, I don’t think lab results will be the holdup.

And I'm at the point where I ask how does the nephew know? Was he there? Did someone driving by tell him? I'm trying to separate fact from rumor and it is an impossible task without anyone saying they were there and they saw it.

Welp, the Nephew brought it up, as I recall. BM wasn't talking, LE wasn't talking.
I know most want to believe that the nephew is innocent. I don't know. I'd like to believe that no one in SM's family had anything to do with her disappearance.
However, as we all know, anyone is suspect.

My grandmother was German and my father grew up near a lot of German immigrants so Saturday and/or Sunday my parents were eating this with crackers and drinking beer while watching baseball. I developed a taste for sauerbraten, sauerkraut and German sausages, but Limburger, not so much.

During the PE interview with LS, she mentioned the neighbor of the Salida property search. The search that was done through concrete and sifted through for days.

Now that we finally have confirmation, I heard the neighbor’s call to DWAP (I’m not linking it as he is not approved). However, the information is now MSM with this interview.

I happened to stumble upon the gentleman she called after the search commenced. It was a live video.. (They are friendly and her call was informal but informative) She stated she had taken some photos and video because there was a man and a woman at the job site very early in the morning on MD weekend. She took the photos to send to the property owner as they live off site. It struck her as odd, both with the holiday and the early hours. She heard the heavy equipment and got up to see what was happening. She did not put this piece with the missing person until she heard the following week.

Then she heard about SM’s disappearance and immediately called it in. MOO, this is what LS confirmed tonight.

To clarify: This is the neighbor of the building site not the M home.
