And there’s really only ONE person who would benefit from staging the bike, the guy who put it there in the first place and then planted that story in everyone’s mind to divert attention from himself. She got dragged up by a cat, accident and got in the river, and abducted “right here.” Poppycock!!! In his minuscule mind HE‘S INNOCENT then, right?? WRONG! He Desperately needed everyone to “buy” his tale. Unfortunately, LE didn’t from day one and neither do many of us. Tick tock!

Thanks I'd forgotten about the spontaneous video where BM asserted that Suzanne "... got herself into the river" (paraphrased).
I didn't care then -- nor do I now, for the 'tone' in both the infomercial and the TD video.
Almost like victim blaming.
Imo.

Yes, but how in the world could he do that?? Moo
IF BM is involved in Suzanne's disappearance --- maybe LE will offer him a plea deal ?
They've offered such a deal to some other killers like John Gardener.

A lighter sentence for the body, we’ve seen that before.

I knew Frazee and Dulos would never give up the body, as they were both defiant, premeditated, sociopathic killers.

I think there’s an outside chance here, but I’m (way) less than optimistic. I think image is too important.

Different Biking Standards?
...I suppose locals have different standards for serious vs recreational mountain bikers? MOO
sbm @Feistyomi agreeing. I'm imagining this.
Local: How was your ride?
Noob to CO mtn-biking: Whew, that 50 mile uphill run was a workout.
Local (walks away, mutters to self): What a wimp, sweating after a kiddie spin like that.

j/k.;)

That’s a good question! The course is set now, it’s too late.

He could confess, tell LE the location where Suzanne disappeared, and throw himself at the mercy of the court.

BM’s goal is to move on. It’s obvious. It’s IN YOUR FACE obvious. LE’s goal is to find Suzanne and accumulate enough evidence to allow a DA to deliver justice for Suzanne. BM’s goal appears to sell SM’s interests and keep them for himself in a move to buy a property, drill a well, pave a driveway, build a new house and get buff at the gym for his amore. Suzanne isn’t even a second thought at this point. Pathetic man BM. I find him despicable in his lack of emotion and passion for SM. All MOO, of course.

Agreed.
The infomercial that sounded like an ad for his lawn care/mowing/dirt digging business was the biggest alarm bell for me.
Imo.

I'm glad to see LS's reporting breathe some life into this case. It's one of the strangest 'missing person" cases I've followed and still believe LE knew from the very start foul play was involved.

It's sad to think this strong, vibrant, lovely woman and two time cancer survivor was disappeared by a loved one.

It is terribly sad. It has the same sad feeling I had for Kelsey Berreth in the early days when she first went missing after seeing her shopping with her child. General silence from the significant other that doesn't feel right.

sbm @Feistyomi agreeing & imagining this convo.
Local mtn bike: Did you enjoy your ride?
Noob to CO mtn-biking: Whew, that 50 mile uphill run to Monarch Pass was a workout.
Local (walks away, mutters to self): What a weakling, sweating after a kiddie spin like that.

:Dj/k.

...and that is probably fairly close to the truth. Almost all of my friends think my cycling habit is crazy. Many of the racers probably consider me a 'recreational cyclist'.

Maybe...if he thought he could convince his mother that it was an 'accident' ...just moo.

How do we know it wasn’t an accident? Followed by a coverup?

Because that just doesn’t happen. I can’t think of a single case where someone has had a true accident, and then someone has gone on to stage it like a kidnapping (or anything else).

Unless the “accident,” was BM’s temper escalating to violence.

Jinx, but anytime I think like massguy, I give myself a pat on the back. Lol

He could have hit her without intending to kill her. The guy is a giant beast though, so being hit once might be enough to mortally harm someone.

I think if it happened like that, the initial blow would have made him realize he went too far. That, in and of itself, didn’t kill her. It’s tough to kill someone with a single blow, although not impossible.

I think he would have realized that what he did changed the game, and he strangled her.

True, but if you have accidentally killed your wife, you call police and take your lumps. Doing anything other than that puts you so, so, so far down in the s**t with the cops that you are cooked anyway. Fess up and get 20, or don't and get life or the death penalty.

It sure feels like this case is going to be solved and I'm here for it. I jumped in this case immediately as an avid cyclist in Colorado. I'm now on the thought she was not on that bike and this was a narrative that a 🤬🤬🤬 decided would draw LE off their trail. Looking forward to the Lauren Scharf interview tonight.

It's not quite as you specify since the perp was intoxicated and driving while imparied, but the case that sticks in my head and probably will forever is the Chante Jawan Mallard vehicular homicide case. She was sentenced to 50 years in prison.
