Except it's pretty obvious that nobody at Discovery ID asked that question to begin with given the erroneous video released today!

There lies my point. How exactly does that happen? It’s ID, not Wayne’s World...

About the sloppiest reporting/clip released ever then.

Where do I have to look on SM? Only some account like "Searching for" or "Missing SM"?
On facebook, there are groups and yes, you'd search Suzanne Morphew. I found them to be very one-sided in favor of BM.
This was a while ago but according to a few here, it still seems to be the case.

i finally left one of those SM fb groups. not only were they so pro-BM that if you said anything slightly negative about him or questioned the narrative, you'd get jumped on, but at the same time, they were making memes implying he was guilty (like pics of him in jail and stuff). it was absolutely ridiculous and gross. (and confusing?) i have a pretty high tolerance for fb groups bc i do like reading the insider info they sometimes attract, but this one was absurd. i am in one now that is pretty fair and balanced, and there is even a girl writing a dissertation on the case, so she asks some really fantastic questions that makes for good discussion, and it (usually) stays civil. it also has a very good friend of BM's in it. that's always interesting. ;)

It very well could. I worked for a major city PD so we rarely searched properties with so much land. However, to cover ourselves we would always include sheds, outbuildings, vehicles as part of the “premises” when we applied for our warrant. No one who is working a major case wants to have evidence thrown out because of an illegal search and seizure.
For what it’s worth, from everything I have seen, the searches seem to be concentrated on the home itself. I also have to believe that the Morphew curtilage was searched by LE in the days following her disappearance to be sure she was not lying dead or injured on their property. If they found evidence then, it would be admissible as it was found during the course of a legal search and LE had a right to be on the property.

just wanted to say thank you so much for being here, @OldCop ! i absolutely love reading your informative posts. i have so much respect for your opinion on this case, (and others), and it really helps to hear first-hand how all this works within LE. :)

Nobody seems to be monitoring the Find Suzanne Morphew Facebook page. I doubt you can get any answers that help the investigation from there. That, in and of itself is extremely sad. MOO
I was talking about Chafee County Sheriff page. But yes, it is sad the family page has not been updated.

When following the sad case of Abby and Libby's murders in Delphi, Indiana, on 2.13.2017, I learned about a great place to go to dig a little deeper into people and their behavior.
Since there may be an Indiana connection here with Suzanne's case, I will share.

All you need to enter is a last name and a first name.
Once you click search, one more click on the blue lettering (case title) gives lots of details.
New pictures of "strangers" come to light.

Thanks Brubon, what does “new pictures of strangers come to light mean?” Sounds intriguing. Heading there now.

ETA: I'm of the opinion the equipment was in operation as opposed to being moved on to the trailer and hauled away.

But for half an hour only, what could you have managed in that short time span? And why would you do it late in the evening/rather night, if it wasn't extensive work? (... until the neighbor is looking out of her door?) BM or staff even knew, the neighbor had an eye on the building site as agreed. - Strange.

I wonder if he had intentions to hide the body there but was interrupted by the neighbor and decided to change his plans. Jmo

It’s not going to make you feel any better, when I tell you that the Facebook version has 200k views.
Those are just the views with the video being played on Facebook. The video has been downloaded and re-published in many different places. As one example, shown below, Daily Mail is hosting their own copy of his plea video. Those views would not be counted in the Facebook numbers. I think it's very possible that his video has actually been seen millions of times across the Internet. IMO

Actually, I believe OP was referring to the number of fb views of the erroneous Discover ID 2 min video that only came out Wednesday, July 29. (Quoted post was in response to my count on twitter views).

It makes me wonder if ID got their info direct from BM and/or his family. We know that BM told TD on ytube that police had cleared him. I can see delusional BM repeating this lie to any audience before him-- including his mom, daughters, and/or other family members that could have talked to ID.

MOO

I listened to that TD interview several times. BM mumbles that “he has been cleared”. He did not say it clearly or confidentially.
My thoughts. MOO

1.He barely mumbled because he knew that he has not been cleared and he was suddenly questioning if he should say this.

2.He knew he was being recorded.

3. He was using this opportunity to sell his case to the public.

I wouuld like to learn, how I can recognize the number of views, FB gets (or Twitter). "Likes" I see, but "Views"? Stupid me.

I'm (still) open for an innocent BM, but his behavior is like just the opposite of "innocent", it seems at least.

I am still on the fence about this one. She initially thought it was a truck engine running. Many people fit the story to the crime for a bit of attention, or a for a bit of excitement.
I find it somewhat odd that she said she saw a man and a woman without elaborating. Most people would have said where they saw them, they were on the machinery, or walking away from the site, or near a car. She heard something. Was it really for half an hour? Was it a truck idling or machinery? Why the lack of details about the man and the woman she saw, were they tall or short? I am on the fence and l am leaning towards she heard something and her account had a bit of embellishment as it happened the night before her disappearance and local gossip would have it that BM worked on the site. This is quite the loaded question without knowing any (confirmed) variables!

I believe the neighbor that recently appeared on Fox21 special report said the noise woke her around midnight but I don't think this hour and/or the duration has officially been confirmed.

We don't know the source of the actual noise.

Was it a loader, excavator, backhoe or other?

As to production, what was the task, and how many personnel available?

Was the purpose to collect something previously hidden/buried on the site and take it away, or to hide something?

Half-hour production: an excavator cycles faster than a loader. Using a loader, the operator will cycle 2 to 2.5 times per minute. When using an excavator, the operator cycles 4 to 5 times per minute. And no accounting for size factors!

Too many unknown variables.

I think whatever happened in the dark of night was probably very efficient.

What's the source of this statement that keeps popping up?

I didn't hear it or read it attributed to the neighbor.

I'm about convinced this is a rumor that goes back to a youtube demonstration video previously posted. TIA

It’s shocking to me. The combined viewership of the nightly network news broadcasts, is around 30 million people.

Had BM appeared with the sheriff, I’m sure each of them would have dedicated a segment to it at some point. Regardless, that video would have circulated through social media, and reached untold tens of millions of people.

It’s very different when a loved one appears at one of those things, and I think it tends to draw people’s attention more than the alternative (what happened here).

I mean, who can forget Kelsey Berreth’s mom, or Gannon’s parents?

This an interesting subject (at least to me). I've been thinking about how each of the missing people, often mentioned in discussions of the SM case, were actually found (or not found) and through what means. Did media coverage, National and International, crack the cases? Did volunteers conducting searches find the victims? (If I were in grad school I'd probably make this one of my research projects.)

Gannon Stauch: Investigators tracked the stepmother, LS, through her digital footprint and surveillance. Gannon's body was found by a road crew working near where she had put his body, in a suitcase or duffel type bag. Investigators also knew LS was involved because they found a lot of forensic evidence inside the house (blood in his bedroom).

Kelsey Berreth: remains never found though site of body burn and where body was kept in barn were disclosed by KK. Investigators had a bloody crime scene, and digital footprints from KB's phone. KK and PF had many calls back and forth but notably a very long call from PF landline to KK cell as she drove from ID to CO. Once the FBI found KK they were able to crack the case as she cooperated to save herself. It was various digital evidence (phone records, neighbor's security cam footage, other vidcam footage showing PF and KK) that uncovered KK and exposed some of the day's activities.

Jennifer Dulos: remains never found. Investigators used cell phone & cell tower & GPS records & obtained security cam recordings showing Fotus Dulos & mistress discarding bags in various dumpsters to find the bloody evidence and be able to arrest him.

Holly Bobo: remains found years after she was kidnapped, by a random guy looking for ginseng, who came across her skeletal remains out in the wooded area she was dumped. Her brother witnessed her actual kidnapping but didn't realize exactly what was happening at first. LE eventually found their way to the meth heads who had committed the kidnapping & murder, by developing leads and conducting lots of interviews of area druggies. It took years to solve and there was conflict between local LE and TN FBI resources.

Laci Peterson: was found 4 months after she was killed when her remains and those of her unborn son washed up on the rocks on the east side of the SF Bay, 90 mi from her home. Scott Peterson had placed himself at the SF Bay on the day she went missing. There was no forensic evidence of a crime in their home. He was being closely surveilled by LE in the SF Bay Area, his home in Modesto, CA and finally San Diego area, where his parents lived, and where he had moved. He was pulled over and arrested in San Diego before he could escape to Mexico. His secret mistress had been working with LE to record their conversations, which exposed many of his lies and helped bring him down at trial.

IMO

I recall BM kind of interrupted TD with his I was cleared.

TD was making a statement to BM about LE always beginning an investigation with focus on the husband, and BM interjected his words to change the subject.

I only see the view count for the posted videos (and not count for FB or Twitter).

For example, there was a 4.5 mag earthquake in San Fernando, CA a few minutes ago so there a several weather video posts hitting my twitter feed right now including the earthquake news.

I can currently see the view count for the videos embedded in the tweets in the left corner next to the seconds counter of lapsed time when playing the video.

Hope this helps. :)
