Honestly, my first thought. He might be implying SM was spending time with someone known to her and that person harmed her. I also get the impression he believes this is someone she should not have been with.

"People don't know the truth" , "oh Suzanne", "it's too soon".

Who knows really.... IMO

When you put it that way, it sounds like he's implying an affair partner.

“People don’t know the truth” really sticks out to me. Just from learning about Statement Analysis in general. IMHO it comes across that BM literally KNOWS the “truth”. He knows what happened. Since LE has been tight lipped how could anyone other than them, Suzanne and potential perpetrator (s) know the “truth” at this point? Combined with his focus on the bike, slamming law enforcement, and his silence it seems like he KNOWS. IMHO. In the beginning I didn’t want to assume BM had anything to do with it. I didn’t want to be biased by previous spousal cases.
IMOO
It's that tricky old subconscious popping up again . . . IMO

Thinking about the Denver trip and the timeline:

According to Google Maps, the drive from Salida to Denver takes 2 hours and 37 minutes (or 142 miles) on Highway 285 N. There are national forests en route. It seems like this is the primary means of making that trip (I don't see small roads or many options in those mountains on the map).

So far, haven't found any credible sources (LE or witnesses) confirming BM's Denver trip even happened. Does anyone know if he was seen in Denver or if he used a hotel or stopped at a gas station? Is there anything in the public domain about this?
There is nothing in the public domain that even confirms he made the trip. I'm sure the cops know, but we do not.

Thanks for posting his 'note'.
Well of course BM didn't explain her appearance.
Speculation :
That's because he knows it's useless as she may not even be in one complete piece.
He knows that LE are not looking for an alive person.
Hence the focus on the items.

Want to bet that these are the personal item(s) found ?
Wonder if LE missed anything ?
Maybe BM could help LE and point them out ?
Why not, BM ?
Imo.

Re. the lavender bolded :
More B.S.
(Barry-'Splaining . Or insert your own interpretation. ;) )

Re. the pink bolded :
I don't believe this at all, that's my opinion.
It's entirely possible LE asked for BM to hold a presser with them to get the word out about finding Suzanne, and it's also possible reporters asked for an interview.
But all we received was a 'chance encounter' where BM controlled the narrative.

So, if BM doesn't know what happened...what exactly is it, that LE, CBI, and the FBI are blaming on BM ?
For all he knows, a mountain lion attacked her, she veered off the road on her bike & fell into the creek, or she left with someone else -- of her own volition.
In which case there was no crime.

I can't believe he's still pushing the abduction theory, the mountain lion attack, the fell into the creek theory, the 'met someone she knew' (who then harmed her ?) theory.
Can't he just pick one story and stick with it ?

Speculation :
The most plausible lie he could have come up with would be that she left her life behind, and does not want to be contacted.
The problem he might have foreseen with that 'explanation' is that her daughters and the Moorman family wouldn't have fallen for such a falsehood.
I have every reason to believe Suzanne was dearly loved by her daughters and the Moorman family !

If Suzanne left on her own, there'd be no crime scene to investigate, and now recently-- no worries about the "mechanical thing" (agreed with others, what the heck does that even mean ?) he did to his bobcat.
My guess is that he had to switch out the front end loader portion, or -- that it was exceptionally clean as in strangely pristine, compared to the other parts of the b.c.?
Like L. Stauch "explaining" about why the investigators would find Gannon's blood on Albert's woodworking tools , and Gannon's dna/blood in various parts of the house including the electrical socket in his bedroom. :(

Keep talking, BM.

Imo.
MOO Apparently BM is speaking down to LS because she is a woman, he was "doing a mechanical thing."
He could have said the specific. Such as replace a sparkplug, battery, change attachment etc? More respectful.

REALLY GOOD POINT! I tend to forget the community piece and “common knowledge”.

It IS a really good point. Our little town is much bigger than Salida and I also know the scoop on my kid's friend's parents & home life. I know who smokes pot 24/7, I know who gets "tattoo therapy" whenever she's stressed (I so admire her, lol), I know hates conservatives, who has a million dollar summer home, who has the boyfriend in Dubai (I know, weird, right?), who lives with grandma because mom is a druggie, etc.

Even if the daughter of B & S wasn't really close friends with JS's daughter, kids do talk, friend circles overlap and many of them talk to their parents about stuff (still, thankfully). It is entirely possible JS did know something about the Morphew family long before SM ever went missing. Not that any prior knowledge of their lives would be considered evidence or anything like that, but it might be a red flag, at the very beginning of the investigation, if someone's reputation preceded him - either this way, or through LE colleagues.

Good question- I wish we knew if he had an attorney!

Question:
If I own $3,000,000.00 or ( pick any amount) worth of property, but have very minimal cash on hand, could I request a public defender when I am arrested and charged with a serious crime? Would they turn me down and say, "Sell your properties."

Would BM be able to put everything in his first born daughter's name, and claim he is penniless?

Just wondering....

And the bobcat might be another oversplain. And not altogether true.

MY takeaway: he was working on or with a piece of construction equipment at a time associated with Suzanne's disappearance which COULD be a bobcat or just as likely not a bobcat and that, in his confusion, he misremembered which equipment he used, what he was doing with it, and when he'd done it. But hey, who HASN'T sometimes mixed up daytime and nighttime? Of course, we DON'T know WHICH times he mixed up but it does make you wonder...

He brought it up. LE didn't.

We might read all about it one day.

The claim from BM that "people don't know the truth" instantly left the impression that he's on social media reading what people are saying.
From what I've seen (and I don't follow there, but have looked a time or two) it's overwhelmingly not in favor of BM's innocence.
From the Youtubers, social media, WS, etc., BM really doesn't have many people believing he's innocent in all this, so it seemed like that's who the "people" are he was referring to.

Was it the same brother who said "this isn't going to end well" in the very beginning? Really makes me think there was something under the layers of social media smiles....poor SM. and the girls. and her family.
JMO
You and I remember that comment 95 days later :(
Add that comment to Andy's "I've had to tell my Father things I never wanted to" ... family knew what was up from the get-go.

No, but I think even Barry knew he needed some type of credible alibi. He knew LE would check to see if he went to Denver. He may even visited his nephew on Sunday to validate his story.
Looking at the satellite map, if I was Barry, and I needed to get rid of something on the way to Denver, I would pick a spot between Johnson Village and Antero Junction. The area is rugged, less populated, and there are some nice county roads leading off 285.
I noticed there is a Shell Station just as you turn right to stay on 285 in Johnson Village with a truck stop right across the street. Continuing the drive on 285, I see a Sinclair Station in Fairplay. The drive from Johnson Village to FairPlay is about 35 miles. I wonder if they picked up his truck on cameras from these filling stations and, if so, how long did it take to drive those 35 miles?

Well, BM always distances himself by referring to “they”. I think “someone who knew her well” was BM, himself.
While he doesn’t really talk about himself in the third person he sorta does in the fourth or fifth person, (they, somebody).
This was taken from an article about talking in the third person and was discussing LeBron James:
speaks in the third person, a tendency that has contributed to his being characterized as narcissistic, self-obsessed and detached from reality.
Kinda sounds like someone we know, doesn’t it?

Great post and yes, it totally and utterly sounds like someone we know. I read this article last night and meant to share, but decided to fall asleep instead...

I wonder why BM has used his friends' story about LE in such an upfront manner. Maybe LS could track him down and ask if he wanted to walk back any of his comments reported by BM . It would be fun if the buddy said he didn't say what BM reports. Also wonder if BM had gotten a lawyer and LE was supposed to contact only through lawyer if then the lawyer refused the lie detector test that BM could still claim that HE never refused the test. ??

Well he was the one sheeting on le destroying the evidence at the 'bike agent's so why not chuck his pal that presumably he's only known a couple years under the bus too?! Easy come, easy go.

Joining the discussion late and have attempted to catch up. One thing I didn’t see. What is the source of their wealth? I’m unfamiliar w a volunteer firefighter/landscape company owner that lives in house of nearly 2 million. TIA!

Exactly. Because he could force his narrative on the ranger friend and hope it gets repeated to more friends ..and on and on.
Exactly! Taking advantage of the credibility his friend may have on a local level. IMO

He makes me feel so sick. I bet that poor lady had no one but her church folks out there.

Oh Suzanne, that is what i a stranger from 4500km away says when I see her such happy smiling pictures.

another interesting admission we have is that BM is a suspect, and he says so himself.

swedehear

I think it is great that BM thinks he is a suspect.
Guess he is waiting for the arrest.
Let him sweat and worry, talking rubbish, making further mistakes, giving LE more ammunition.
This helps LE.
Continue BM with babbling, thanks.:D
MOO.
