Texas Equusearch?
I watched the most recent PE episode with AM and am wondering if the people he searched with were his friends or Barry’s friends. Does anyone know? TIA
I hope AM pursues continued searching and that LE invites Texas Equusearch. Maybe they can locate Suzanne if afforded the opportunity to assist in searching. IMO
@mom2chloe Good thought about TE.
Trying to recall cases where TE ppl traveled quite a distance, like Casey Anthony/ FL/2008.
And ______ ? Blanking re other cases.
If FBI and/or state level LE has already been involved, does TE still conduct searches?

The gauntlet has officially been thrown. BM has been called out publicly by SM's family. IMO had had more than enough time to clear his name with LE. Itll be interesting to see how he responds

If he is truly not involved in her disappearance, he needs to step up now...He has been officially "put on the spot" by AM and ball is now in BM's court. I am so pleased her brother is finally speaking out. Enough is enough and the Moorman's have more questions and want answers. JMO

Perhaps if LE can narrow down a pretty likely location that would be a possibility. Moo

Are bobcat "tires/treads" like car tires that they can connect the pattern to the vehicle?
They can identify marks and characteristics on tools, tires, shoes, bumpers, etc. so I think they can, especially since the CBI and FBI are part of the investigation. MOO

They most recently located Vanessa Guillen’s remains, who was the female soldier missing from Ft Hood, Texas. They would be happy to join the search but LE has to be in agreement. Sounds like Suzanne’s family is ready to invite them and hopefully LE will agree. Her dad and brother want her home so I’ve got fingers crossed.

Yes and LE is privy to all sorts of digital info among other things so it’s definitely worth a shot. IMO

I think it’s possible he mixed up the time. BM was telling him what happened on the following night after AM flew in to help search for his sister. Maybe BM said that was when LE arrived.
However, I think it would be unusual that he would misremember Colorado Springs instead of Denver. The reason I feel this way is because AM is not from the area. He had just flown into Denver. Why would Colorado Springs pop into his head? MOO
I thought the same. Having just flown in from Denver, that would be foremost in his mind.
There could be a reason why BM changed 'job' location to his BIL. Could be a lot of reasons for giving his BIL alternate times, etc.
This was just one day after BM talking to police. Maybe he was deliberately confusing so as to claim he was so out of sorts that he didn't know what he was saying to either or both.

I think BM’s control over those girls is strong. One is twenty. She has witnessed her beloved mom going through chemo for her cancer. She KNOWS what that does to a body. She knows how scary cancer can be and yet she has not reached out to her grandfather. Does she even know her grandfather has cancer? I guess that depends on when GM was diagnosed, before or after SM “disappeared.” How completely did BM isolate SM and his daughters from SM’s family?

Great question SusiQ, do the girls even know their grandfather has cancer?? I bet BM, if he has indeed known about the cancer, has shielded his daughters from finding out...BM knows they would call their grandfather which could then lead to some very deep conversations.

Just a general and hypothetical thought -- one way to know for certain whether or not a suspect is guilty of the murder of his wife is to go up to him and say "we found your wife and she is alive!" and observe his reaction. If innocent, the reaction would be one of immense relief and joy (maybe doubt at first, but sincere joy/relief would be the eventual emotion). If guilty, the reaction would be just sheer confusion…...

RSBM…or knowing Barry, as we do, not a normal reaction at all but I can see him holding a megaphone and belting out his best mountain lion roar. Great first post BTW…it really does make one think!

Heading to kitchen for more coffee.:):):)

RSBM…al66, FYI….it’s 5 o’clock somewhere. Actually 7pm here on the East Coast…

I think some of those people are “waking up” @marylamby. Yes, indeed. It’s not nice to throw people under a bus. It will come back to bite you in the arse. The walls are closing in on BM. In his attempt to direct attention away from himself he’s actually accomplished the exact opposite. Tick, tock BM. All MHO.

I agree Ladies, I think PE got them all thinking, but TN caught on early. Love the Tick Tock…

Maybe AM deliberately misspoke in an effort to get BM to correct or refute the statement via LS or someone. IMO

Is it known he flew into Denver? Could have been Colorado Springs or did he drive? Pandemic affecting travel plans?

Yes, agree. I'm a longtime mountain-biker and as I think I mentioned in a long-ago thread, a MB is not an easy thing to throw, especially for someone who isn't used to their trajectory in a legitimate spill or their weight and balance.

Having fallen from dozens of bikes in hundreds of rides across a baffling variety of terrains ;), an MB bike has a pretty regular, even predictable, range of ways in which it can fall and land, and hoisting itself over or though brush and/or reversing its orientation or course in defiance of the physics of falling is definitely a red flag, IMO. I'd be surprised if LE didn't run a few tests with a similar bike to test BM Accident Hypothesis #1.

I bet LE already has ran a few tests with a bike like hers...I believe the bike will be a huge part along with the phone pings, that puts the final nail in the coffin for BM. MOO

He said he'd just flew into Denver in the PE video, I'm pretty positive. It's a really long drive from IN.
I could be wrong, but don't think so re Denver v Co Springs.

I like the way you think! Never occurred to me...

I think he started icing SM's family pretty early on. He didnt inform them about filing for guardianship and he lied about taking the lie detector test and cooperation to appease them. Fortunately Im sure he told the girls any number of lies to end the communication. No one want to think their dad would lie about something like this so I dont fault them for not reaching out on their own. I mean look how long it took CD kids to realize theyd been lied to. Dads are suppose to protect their kids, not use their influence to severe all contact with their spouses family. Its like hes trying to erase her family from his life so he can pretend he never existed

Right now, the girls have lost their mother, and they are deeply invested in believing anything that allows them to keep from losing a father. I keep thinking of the Michael Peterson case, and whether or not someone believes he was guilty, surely we can see how easy it is to suddenly see your dad as the victim of a witch hunt. And then to move into default position.

Grief makes us believe impossible things. The grief and trauma the daughters are feeling right now make them vulnerable to manipulation and to anything that keeps their world from falling apart further. I can't even imagine how they are navigating this.

I think CO, someone she met at the treatment facility spoke to Lauren (?) and mentioned her girls coming with her when she was receiving treatment and seeing BM there once too. She had her follow up appointment scheduled for the day after MD so if it was in Indiana she probably would have been on her way there 5/9 or 5/10. MOO

Yes. I remembering hearing this too. Thank you for reminding me where I heard it.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

Good point Hatch. I always assumed that she had insurance, but if not, that's a problem. Moo

This is especially true (super high premiums) for small business owners such as the Morphews. They are essentially self-employed with no benefits to speak of. My sister and her husband own their own business as financial wealth managers. They have to pay huge premiums on their health insurance. It's not like working for the large corporate institutions with the Mac Daddy benefits. Also many times, these self-bought medical plans have very large deductibles and do not cover most of the costs.

MOO
