Very weird he brought his mail into the hotel room. Weird too that he left it there.

Possibly both things are true -- ONE piece of mail AND a stack of mail. One stack on a desk and one piece of mail in the trash. Straight oversight he left them there?

Maybe the second warrant at the house was to search for coolers. Right time for incriminating video footage to be trickling in. Perhaps coolers captured in the bed of a certain truck, in the style of PFrazee and the black tote.

I'm gonna need an adventurer to head toward the creek, down by where TD said BM surfaced that day.... to look around. Not necessarily to see what's in the water but rather to see what's directly ACROSS from it.

Any fresh boulders?

JMO
Hopefully that area by the creek will be one of the locations for the upcoming search.

how about if JP takes lie detector and voice analysis tests? i bet he would do it in a new york minute. i also bet he's being truthful.

JP was BM's fall guy. he was just some druggie ex-con that BM judged to be "a dumbass" and not credible. he wasn't helping him out by giving him a job, BM never expected that JP was going to put 2 and 2 together. and that's why he's so mad.

i am really looking forward to MG's interview. let's hear her version of events.

also noting, did barry's voice sound a little "thick" to anyone else? surely it's a bad idea for keeping your stories straight right now if you're getting messed up. maybe it was just bad phone reception. i'm not sure drugs and alcohol for BM aren't going to come into play here. but JMO.

and finally, he "loved" suzanne. so he's obviously convinced she's gone. not only missing, but dead. but we already knew that, BM. (ok, listening again, and perhaps he said he "love." he loves his wife. it's unclear.)

last edit. (lol): it's interesting that it was "too soon" to talk about his missing wife for the last 4 months, but it's not "too soon" to jump on the phone with a reporter when someone tells a lie about barry! gotta take care of THAT business REAL quick!

You're taking very few things into account, IMO.
What may make sense is LE asking JP if anything was amiss. They may very well have been there, we don't know.
If a hired hand were to sit there for days, he may have looked around and found it and other docs.
There are many reasons why this particular, and possibly other pieces of information, came to light.
BM could have copies of any and all docs somewhere. I have a safe deposit box, most people I know do.
I think it's quite plausible that he didn't want those docs found when LE would investigate his home.
I think he underestimated the man he hired.
Can't wait to hear what the other supposed 'crew' have to say.
I wish JP had mentioned whether or not he saw any tools in the hotel room. Barry claimed he left them there, but JP only mentioned there not being any machinery or tools at the jobsite. It sounds as if Barry never made it to the worksite at all.

I think the reason we are all confused is due to word salads.

"The pathological narcissist uses word salads intentionally, to manipulate and control by inducing that confused, addled state you know so well.

It is a form of gaslighting, the ‘go to’ method for brainwashing to foster loss of trust in reality and yourself. As such, as well as the markers above, the narc’s word salad also includes blaming, denial, shaming and aggression."
Thank you. I agree completely. That's what he's been doing since day one.
I also guarantee he's been playing these games all of his life.

I’m still only skimming so you’ve all probably said this and thus forgive the repetition: Perhaps it is no accident that there are many similarities to other horrible crimes although perhaps it is: what he’s heard or read before or since on how things were done by others in similar situations: FD, PF, MT. MOO. Of course, if so, he has forgotten that many others such as LE and all here know about those situations, too. This all reminds me so much of JFD and of KB—although I did not, could not read there, either—in ways and I mourn the cruel loss of yet another kind soul who loved her children or child and gave of herself to others and then was brutally murdered and, worse yet if possible, hidden amid a coverup from the evil ones involved. MOO.

Totally agree! I can only hope more information is forthcoming!
What was/Is Morgan’s job title? And based on this job title, did it make sense that she’d be one of the two co-workers who also had a room? Curious to find out on what day she arrived and at what time. I’m up on the fence again.

I didn't get a chance to listen to it. Was he slurring his words or something? Was he incoherent? I tried to play it from the link but nothing happened.

I fear you are correct. That's the way my thinking has been lead, too.

I think the smell of chlorine is a lot stronger than bleach. He probably used pure bleach or mixed it with very little water, which would explain the strong smell.
If you transported a body in a cooler and there were fluids after you removed it. I suppose you might use bleach to clean it before you dumped it or threw it away somewhere? No sense leaving suspicious evidence in it right?

Maybe he threw it away somewhere in denver, or left it where someone would see it and take it.

Just a thought.

@branmuffin . This is such a great post. May I make a suggestion that you consider alerting authorities on your thoughts? It definitely sounds like something they should look into.
note: I am using @ to reference posts as I always mess up when I quote or reply. Then my comments don’t go outside the square brackets and they get deleted. If some one could give me a 101 on replying that would be great!

Thanks. I would think that many residents of Salida and environs would be aware of some of the mines. It wouldn't be the first time a body has been dumped in one. If I lived in Salida it would be the last place I'd put a body since I think they'd be the first place local LE might look but washes of stone and scree from snow melt could definitely be a very natural way to hide a body, especially if you could provide a little help. I wouldn't be surprised if many hikers who end up missing unwittingly caused a rockfall that ultimately buried them. Five family members died from a rockslide near Buena Vista several years ago.

Did they say she was a construction worker? Could she be a secretary or do some kind of office work?

I wonder when CBI asked the question about the coolers? Was it during the initial search of the house? Maybe the girls took a few coolers with them camping.
I doubt the girls were roughing it. Organized camping with a host providing is my opinion.

Yes I think that's a good possibility. Perhaps while he was using this bleach product, he splashed some onto his clothing/shoes. Then needed to shower and change and dispose of those clothes somewhere, could that be the smell in the motel room?

Thank you for bringing this up. Im curious also. What was her job title i wonder? Was she a block layer?

On a block wall job? I dunno if clerical work would be necessary on the job site for something like that?

My husband is an attorney and he said the D.A. could be working with LE now in preparing to take Suzanne’s case before a Grand Jury to see if they find enough for an arrest? Or something like that...attorneys or those that know please chime in here when you can. It’s late in my time zone and my eyes are getting heavy. I want to research Grand Jury in Co but I’m too tired tonight. I wonder if how often they convene a Grand Jury has changed due to Covid. Everything else has so wonder how are they doing jury duty selection these days? I hope you are right and this means an impending arrest next week. Tomorrow would be even better!

In Colorado, most felony indictments are done by “information” and the grand juror process is used sparingly. (An information is filed by a prosecutor).

I wouldn't think so either but she is only referred to as an employee. On some construction sites there is an office set up in some sort of trailer.

I'm thinking she was integral to the job on 5/9.

New to this discussion and not sure if this has been said or if it's even relevant.

What kind of business owner stays in the same room as an employee or even anyone they are on a project with?

I have worked in my field since 1997 and have owned a (small) company since 2005. Never, not once, have I shared a room with a boss or employee or colleague or subcontractor. I'm sure that does happen, but in this case, why on earth would BM be sharing an inexpensive room with this guy.

No agenda here, just a thought.
