But he thought he should pick a piece of mail out of the trash and hold onto it until a later date when he would then hand it over to the FBI? Before anyone knew suzanne was even missing?
Weren't BM's buddies searching for Suzanne on Sunday night? Before he got back? Word would have been all over the county that she was missing. And amongst his other workers, presumably JP had a telephone. They did find the bike on Sunday, no?

Except....reading this, I find myself wondering why on earth he would take an item or items potentially contaminated with SM's DNA to a hotel to clean? Why wouldn't he leave the item(s) where he disposed of the body?

I'm still struggling with this part of JP's story. What portable item(s) could BM have used for SM's death and burial that he would need/want to take to a hotel, of all places, to clean? And what could be so extraordinarily valuable that he would clean the item(s) in a hotel room instead of disposing of them when he disposed of the body?

Himself or his clothing? There's nothing suspicious about his wife's DNA being found on his clothing. He'd only have to worry about blood.
maybe it was a super duper expensive concrete saw that he didn't want to throw out.
IDK but there's been bits and pieces of things said that I think have a bit of hint or clue to them that we'll learn later is a piece of the puzzle. LE just has to sift through all the seemingly unimportant 'stuff'.

He said he found the mail the next morning, which would be Monday. Suzanne was missing by then—why wouldn’t he know it?

Would it be possible for someone to post any new information given in this article as it is not accessible in the U.K?

makes perfect sense just like everything else in this case.... ;-)

Just spit balling on how JP and BM could have been together on Saturday....

What if JP was working at the Salida job site on Saturday and BM showed up around mid afternoon to pick up his bobcat that was onsite because BM needed it “for another job”. Then the 11:30pm noise, was BM returning the bobcat to the job site.
IMO, there's an element of truth to all the different pieces and stories we are hearing. There's just enough of a baloney mix there to make it confusing.

I have always believed an ounce of truth to every pound of spoken word when you know there is something not right.... No exception here.

I believe JP, i'm not convinced he knows the implications of what he has shared. I also don't think he was alone, which would better satiate how he could just "sit around for two days".

And so the world turns...

Firefighter buddy only found out on Monday, and he was in town. Suzanne’s Dad didn’t find out until Monday afternoon, and Andy soon after. It might have been news within town and in certain circles, but if you’re sitting watching tv in a hotel room waiting for a phone call (especially if you are being paid from upon your arrival), you’re not reaching out to anybody so you can start work.

What a refreshing update from LE.

That is all we ask for cases as they start to drag on. We just need some assurance they are still working on the case. With this latest update we got much more than that as they sound very committed and I love this part below.
Whoever was responsible should be very worried after hearing this:

"With the assistance of both the CBI and the FBI our investigate team has tapped the full resources of both agencies."

And since it seems as though he has never talked to Barry, potentially this is the first that Barry has known that there was any evidence that he left behind at the hotel room, or that the room was not cleaned before the other guy came in if he thought it might be?

Perhaps Barry is wondering what else he left at the room and did the FBI get to that room immediately or did they not? Barry wants to know?

Maybe he couldn't reach BM and was thinking "what the heck??", then proceeded to look around, for tools or anything that would give him some direction.

He did say he hadn't spoken to BM since but that he had been paid. Hmm, BM mailed him a check for work that was never done? JP said he never saw the jobsite? I think JP was going to be used as a doppelgänger....

I know I am pages behind....

But, the.... "BM never talked to JP again and let him sit idle for 2 days in the hotel while there was a supposedly important job to be done. & Why didn't JP call BM and say, "Hey, where are the tools, and where's the job, and what am I doing here exactly?"

BM could've been the kind of boss where he was never to be questioned. He did in fact order JP to go to work.

I don't think
Definitely more info necessary. Maybe he tried to call BM many times, we shall see.
Could be BM thought he'd be busy watching something or other on cable. Maybe grab a bottle or hit up a local bar and be oblivious to what was happening; BM thinking he chose his 'crew' wisely.
After all, something tells me LE didn't know about this HI room right away or they were too busy searching for SM to be concerned, as Jeff spent two days there, according to what we've heard thus far.

For some, I can understand that arriving Sunday late afternoon and leaving Monday midday would be considered two days.

But you do have a good point, there must have been more than one worker there for Barry to supervise and ready the project?. What about all the other workers?

I’m going to check this out when I go to Atlanta. What’s strange is not one hotel ever notified me I could do this.
Technology is amazing.

My company books at 3 chains pretty much exclusively (30 hotels now under the same umbrella) and you have to sign up for their loyalty program where all your profile info is saved including your billing info. Also, if your phone is reported lost or stolen, your registered phone will be pulled from the system. Safe travels @Love Never Fails :)

We don’t know that he didn’t try to contact Barry, just that he didn’t talk to him. We don’t know who else he talked to or even if other workers were there with him. We don’t know exactly when he found out the family emergency was Suzanne missing, but it’s clear to me that the whole situation didn’t feel right and he felt set up.

wouldn't surprise me if poor JP didn't spend a good part of Monday on the phone w/ his buddies back in Salida and also that a bunch of them TOLD him it sounds like an alibi and he was right in the middle of it. He was probably quaking in his work boots.

BINGO. I’d like to hear from any other workers that were there. I wish they’d speak out too.

FBI didn't get involved, according to msm, until the 14th, Wednesday. If JP spent 2 days
waiting for the job to develop, maybe he came home on Tues, slept on his info, found out the
suspicious nature of the investigation and then
went to LE. They referred him to FBI.
MOO
For those interested, here is the CCSO press release from May 13 reporting that CBI and FBI had become involved in the investigation:

Update on Suzanne Morphew search Tipline established - Chaffee County Sheriff

Third paragraph:
"In conjunction with the search the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into the disappearance of Ms Morphew. Investigators from the 11th Judicial District, Colorado Bureau of Investigations, the Salida Police Department, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations have joined the effort."

The specific date CBI and FBI joined the effort is not mentioned. The last CCSO press release preceding this one was Monday, 5/11 and that report made no mention of CBI and FBI involvement. So, it appears to me that it is possible the CBI and FBI may have been asked to join the investigation as early as Tuesday, 5/12 and that CCSO informed the public on Wednesday, 5/13.

Or maybe LE had BM's phone as soon as he got back home. And maybe LE answered when JS called. Moo

From that link:
"Both Barry Morphew and Moorman have pointed to what they’ve seen as errors on the part of law enforcement in the days and months following Suzanne’s diasappearance." (sic)

When did Moorman point to errors on the part of law enforcement?

...(I only left to do the dishes.....)

Not in a single MSM article I've read, and I'm pretty sure I've read them all, and it's never been mentioned here.
That would have definitely been discussed here, and it has not, so... this is news to us all, I'm sure.
