Suzanne Morphew - Chaffee County Sheriff

September 3, 2020

On Mother’s Day, May 10th, 2020 Suzanne Morphew was reported missing to the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office. Almost immediately the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office asked for
assistance from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, CBI, as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI.

A search For Suzanne started immediately and over the course of the past nearly four months over 100 personnel, including air support, water craft, underwater equipment, drones and
numerous types of K-9 have been utilized in an attempt to find Suzanne.

A tip line was immediately established and hundreds of tips have been fielded and are being investigated.

The investigation team has conducted hundreds of interviews both in Colorado and out of state and continue to develop leads and contact potential persons who may have information into
the disappearance of Suzanne.

With the assistance of both the CBI and the FBI our investigate team has tapped the full resources of both agencies.

As with any investigation our responsibility and priority is to determine the facts and maintain the integrity of the investigation. Our sole focus is either finding Suzanne or determining the
circumstances behind her disappearance and the only way to do this is to keep the information gathered as the result of this investigation under seal.

The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office, CBI, FBI and the 11 th Judicial District continue to devote our resources to this investigation. Not one day has passed since Suzanne was reported missing
that our investigative team has not been focused on Suzanne Morphew.

Our investigative team is committed to releasing information to the public ONLY when it is in the best interest of Suzanne Morphew and this investigation.

If there are new developments in this case or information is going to be released it will be disseminated through an official written press release.

Thank You

John A. Spezze

Chaffee County Sheriff

Just reading this, imagine the money spent.

In such cases, once there is an arrest leading to a trial, a guilty verdict, surely any assets the subject may have, need to be confiscated, and legal work proceed, that the money is 'paid back'.
This could be stated, to the POI, perhaps encouraging them to plead guilty.

OK, relatives miss out (wills etc) but is it only taxpayers who must pay this, and the guilty person, is again housed, at taxpayers cost.

Guess this system isn't about to alter.
MOO.

Not in a single MSM article I've read, and I'm pretty sure I've read them all, and it's never been mentioned here.
That would have definitely been discussed here, and it has not, so... this is news to us all, I'm sure.
I wonder if this is related to Andy and Suzanne's 87 year old father saying (when he was interviewed by PE) something like "our family trusts the CBI and the FBI." He did not mention the CCSO, which begs the question why (although that follow up question was not asked, or at least wasn't addressed in the video presented on PE).

I’m not sure if this has been posted, but Nancy Grace podcast today is talking with Lauren Scharf about this case.

I’m not done listening yet, but LS says two other workers were also at the hotel for this “job” and provides names. Very interesting indeed.

My company books at 3 chains pretty much exclusively (30 hotels now under the same umbrella) and you have to sign up for their loyalty program where all your profile info is saved including your billing info. Also, if your phone is reported lost or stolen, your registered phone will be pulled from the system. Safe travels @Love Never Fails :)
Thanks Seattle. :)

Yes! And also, that BM rented the room for Puckett. There is no evidence that BM rented a room for himself o_O
Morgan’s name is mentioned as one of the coworkers

Sounds like I have some listening to do and also means that JP has others who can corroborate his account of what he found in that room and what happened over that weekend. You're right, this is very interesting indeed.

I'm even more inclined to assume that LE knew about JP and his potentially damning info in those first few critical weeks.

Wait so can we talk about the Nancy Grace podcast then? The other workers names? It’s considered MSM, right?

Would be very curious to know whether any of these three (JP and the other two according to NG podcast) had been working at the worksite that was searched east of Salida.

Was BM simultaneously providing an alibi for himself AND removing others familiar with that worksite so they wouldn't see it on Monday, May 11?

NOTE:

When the link to the Nancy Grace podcast is posted, the people named can be discussed as far as what the media has said about them, as others in the case have been discussed (who were named in the MSM) but they cannot be sleuthed since they have not been named by LE as suspects or POIs.
