Barry decides, on the Saturday before Mother’s Day, to repair a poorly done year old retaining wall. He asks a person who has never worked for him before to leave on Mother’s Day and go out of town to start work there the next day.
Wait, JP had never worked for BM before?

Wait, JP had never worked for BM before?
They had worked together on other job(s), but as separate contractors it sounded like, ie JP hadn't worked for BM.

Wait, JP had never worked for BM before?
No, according to Lauren who was very specific in her wording. They had worked together on a jobsite, but he had never worked FOR Barry. This was the first time that Barry had asked him to do a job FOR him.

So Barry hired a completely different contractor to do the job for him.
So he knew he wouldn't be there.
Because he knew the stuff was going to hit the fan, or he just preferred that someone else do it to leave him free to do other jobs?

Wait, JP had never worked for BM before?

I heard it as never worked FOR BM but they worked together at a previous company before. They were not strangers to each other. IMO

Nancy: is Barry leading searches? Lauren: not that I know of, Nancy.
Why Not Barry?

Why isn't it your face on Profiling Evil or Fox21? Why aren't you setting up vigils for Suzanne?

Why is Andy out there talking about his little sister and setting up a search, but you refuse to show yours?

Why Barry, we genuinely want to know ...

2 other workers were there, man named ____ and woman named _____. But they aren't saying when these people got there or if there were different rooms, maybe they will specify that. JP was very upset because he had no equipment, etc.
I wonder if the time discrepancy for when Barry told LE he was working on machinery had something to do with the time line on Sunday. He had apparently washed up and taken a shower before he left to go back home, which would imply that he got dirty or sweaty from working. If there was was no machinery at the jobsite and it looked as if he hadn't gotten anything done, he must have given LE some kind of an explanation that proved not to be true. I wonder what the other employees had to say.

I think BM thought he would have more time on Sunday and Suzanne wouldn't be discovered missing until his daughters got home.

Imo

Darn I wish somebody could drive by that wall.

Because that's what you do when you want your loved one found.

And if you don't want her found.....

Just reading this, imagine the money spent.

In such cases, once there is an arrest leading to a trial, a guilty verdict, surely any assets the subject may have, need to be confiscated, and legal work proceed, that the money is 'paid back'.
This could be stated, to the POI, perhaps encouraging them to plead guilty.

OK, relatives miss out (wills etc) but is it only taxpayers who must pay this, and the guilty person, is again housed, at taxpayers cost.

Guess this system isn't about to alter.
MOO.

Unfortunately, it's legal.

If he is legally now allowed to spend the money, it's then a civil matter to try to reverse at this point in time MOO. He's not been charged, and a la Chad Daybell, he can spend his (deceased) wife's assets. Just that Barry... my guess is nothing at this time for life insurance.. so he'll just have to settle for other assets.

Darn I wish somebody could drive by that wall.
I keep thinking of that movie "Missing", when the NGO employee told Jack Lemon about his son...... "They bury people in walls, sir"

The worker gets to the hotel around 6pm on Sunday but LS says he was not absolutely certain of the exact time. 911 call is made around 6pm on Sunday for a missing SM by the neighbor. IMO, BM is on the road before the worker gets there because he knew that 911 call was going to happen because he was in contact with one or both of his daughters. To me, this makes sense. IMO

Most of us thought LE had to have something significant early on to take this investigation away from your typical missing persons case.

I think this “job” in Denver was just one of many red flags. The information that is slowly trickling out now is pretty damning, IMO.

We don’t even know the half of it. I believe we will be pleasantly surprised when all is revealed.

The way it sounds to me, is BM rented the room for JP.

JP arrives at said room and is totally shocked because it smells of chlorine and has wet towels scattered about. If the room was rented for JP, NO ONE else should have access to the room and by all accounts BM should have his own room right?
I probably would have gone through the trash too, trying to determine WHO was in my room!!

That's exactly how it sounded to me as well. If I were in JP's shoes, I'd be a bit disgusted that my so-called room had already been sort of trashed by the guy I was supposed to be working for. I mean... that's creepy, right? o_O

Oh man, this is going to be gold. Barry throwing JP under the bus. Sounds like that DM article got him all fired up yesterday. “Listen, listen, JP was in prison for 9 years...”

I'll be the first to admit i am so behind readimg

From MSM accounts, JP was placed there by BM. We really don't know why BM might have set this up. At this point it appears JP had no idea why he had been called there. It appears that upon BM's orders he stayed in the room for two days.
I think JP said he saw Barry on Saturday and they discussed the wall being fixed. Then he called him on Sunday and asked him to come to the hotel. Maybe JP wasn't expecting it to be so soon?

I don't see anything suspicious about his leaving soon before the 911 call, apparently there had been some back and forth before that, with family, neighbor, etc. But I do see something suspicious about what the heck he was doing after leaving at 5 am to set up job for crew, especially when he had hired a real contractor.
