That's exactly how it sounded to me as well. If I were in JP's shoes, I'd be a bit disgusted that my so-called room had already been sort of trashed by the guy I was supposed to be working for. I mean... that's creepy, right? o_O

Yeah, either BM was up to no good OR he’s incredibly inconsiderate and thinks because he paid for it, he can use it. IMO

If only I knew where it was.
I'd love to know where the Mystery Wall of Crookedness is, myself.
As far as I know, the jobsite location hasn't been mentioned by MSM.

I may be the only one who doesn't think it is strange that he took a shower there and rested (aside from the chlorine). But why was he there anyway? If he didn't set the job up?

Absolutely!! And can you imagine wondering who in the world made a mess in your room, only to find out it was BM? I find that so, so strange!

I do agree that the timing discrepancy of the machinery fix meant something big, at least in Barry’s mind. It very well could have to do with Barry being found out in Broomfield. He could have locked himself into a timeline (like every true crime documentary I watch), and then LE asked him why he was in a hotel room in Broomfield, taking a shower. He may have then “remembered” that he had to fix a bobcat and got filthy doing it. That’s why there were towels and mail in a room that he wasn’t supposed to be in.

Curiouser and curiouser.

But shouldn’t he have his OWN room?

break down of the interview:

calls up a guy who has never worked for him before - the day before (mother's day, no less)

BM told Lauren originally in that interview he went up the day before to prep for his crew - but JP was called to go up and work Sunday.

No dirt, no equipment to work with--- were apparently fixing a retaining wall on interstate? ( Wish I knew where this was, I'd check it out ha)

2 other workers there as well -- C (male) & M (female)
-Lauren trying to talk to them

JP apparently really upset about the whole situation...no equipment to do the work etc.

Nancy talks about this whole thing a set up for an alibi for BM

Apparently BM got this room for JP -- but room smelled of chlorine, wet towels all over, and Barry had laid on the bed. +BM mail left in there

-JP name even left on the door -- apparently room specifically for JP

JP showed up in Broomfield after 6pm Sunday

*No evidence BM ever booked his own room

Nancy asked: 911 call made around 6pm, JP got there around 6pm - how did Barry know there was a family emergency already?

Lauren was in Salida trying to talk to BM yesterday, couldn't find him until late last night - wanted to ask him about the upcoming search if he was going to participate but she didn't get that answer from him
BBM.

"Is he leading searches?" -no, not that I know of -Lauren
** ill edit if any more interesting details

me thinks LS isn't getting anymore interviews with Barry, lol
BBM.
Can't help where and when this happened ?
MOO.

Oh man, this is going to be gold. Barry throwing JP under the bus. Sounds like that DM article got him all fired up yesterday. “Listen, listen, JP was in prison for 9 years...”

Wow. Throwing JP and the FBI under the same bus. That's a big bus. o_O

Did he really say that?

But shouldn’t he have his OWN room?
Yes he absolutely should have. If BM needed a room to set the job up, then JP should have his own room when he arrived. Apparently BM not only had no plans to hang around when he booked that room for JP, but is cheap as well.

For some, I can understand that arriving Sunday late afternoon and leaving Monday midday would be considered two days.

But you do have a good point, there must have been more than one worker there for Barry to supervise and ready the project?. What about all the other workers?

Exactly. If BM claimed it was a job they were repairing and he had to go early to set up, there had to be more than one laborer there. I can't confirm this although i'd bet some money on it....

Or both!!

I don't see anything suspicious about his leaving soon before the 911 call, apparently there had been some back and forth before that, with family, neighbor, etc. But I do see something suspicious about what the heck he was doing after leaving at 5 am to set up job for crew, especially when he had hired a real contractor.
Right, if he arrived at around 8:00 am he would have had about 8 or 9 hours before he realized Suzanne was missing and he had to return home.

Yes! And also, that BM rented the room for Puckett. There is no evidence that BM rented a room for himself o_O
Morgan’s name is mentioned as one of the coworkers

In the NG piece? Morgan is mentioned? As a coworker. Wow. So this case is finally getting some in depth coverage (thanks mostly to Lauren S, I think, but it has certainly helped to have dueling vloggers).

DA's Resignation Could Change Course Of Cold Case Murder Investigation

This article talks about the DA's and the CCSO having some disagreements over whether or not to send a cold case to the GJ. It also discusses the former DA resigning, as does this article:

District attorney Chilson tenders resignation letter

Interesting dynamics.

The new DA does not seem to have much criminal prosecution or jury trial experience...IMO
How much coin is it to bring in a special prosecutor?

I guess. But I mean, who does that?
Who, rents a room for a sub-contractor to stay at while working on a job with you, but then trashes it like that and then just leaves?
I guess sure, if it was your brother or your kid or someone you were close to that knows how you are, or that you really wouldn't care but these guys don't really even know each other.
It just rings creepy to me.

Totally agree! I can only hope more information is forthcoming!
