Barry decides, on the Saturday before Mother’s Day, to repair a poorly done year old retaining wall. He asks a person who has never worked for him before to leave on Mother’s Day and go out of town to start work there the next day.

I really really want to know when BM informed the company or anyone, that he was finally going to fix that messed up wall. If it was after 1:30 MT on May 9th or before. Moo

Well, at least we all know now why BM picked JP for the (nonexistent) repair job in Denver.
BM's just told us why himself, although he doesn't appear to realize it.

He picked JP because JP had a criminal record, which would make JP the perfect patsy.
Because, hey, who's going to believe the felon over the upstanding husband and father?

Here's the problem with BM's attempt to make JP his patsy:
Why would an innocent BM call JP, a random guy who'd been in prison for 9 years, a guy that had never worked a job for him before, and specifically seek him out (on a weekend, no less) to ask JP to come do a critical repair job when BM had his own crew?

BM is trying to be so crafty.
He's starting to put me in mind of Wile E. Coyote.
All he's missing is an ACME kit.

Sounds like LE is really trying to control the investigation and keep what they find close to the vest, as they should.
I think they are afraid of more possible leaks from family and so-called co-worker(s) so they want to nip that in the bud right away by releasing this and bluntly saying, ""If there are new developments in this case or information is going to be released it will be disseminated through an official written press release.""
I give them credit for trying to control the facts of the case and hope all family searchers and LE/FBI searchers can find Suzanne soon !!!!!

Wowsa. So, more and more it looks like he's trying to involve JP, as a distractor.

I don't see anything suspicious about his leaving soon before the 911 call, apparently there had been some back and forth before that, with family, neighbor, etc. But I do see something suspicious about what the heck he was doing after leaving at 5 am to set up job for crew, especially when he had hired a real contractor.

Now that we know that it's likely BM did not leave at 5 am with a sleeping Suzanne still at home, I am quite doubtful about when he went to Broomfield/Denver.

I have a feeling we're going to get way more details about JP, <modsnip> and others soon. Or each of them will speak more. BM himself seems compelled to get in the middle of this.

Personally, I don't believe a thing BM says about times and his travels. It's all a cover-up. I sure wonder where he was on Saturday, May 9, from around noon to 4 pm. And then, what he did after.

I wonder what the hotel cameras really show, in terms of who went in and out of that room before JP arrived. And what they were carrying.

Really Barry? If JP is such a bad guy, has been in prison. Why would you hire him to work with you?

What about the other guy? The one on drugs, who supposedly caused the wall failure & threatened you? Do you routinely hire people with less than stellar backgrounds, then throw them under the bus when it suits your purpose? Why is that?

Wow. Just wow. So you know a guy has a questionable history, yet he’s the guy you pick for this year old mistake you made? You wait a full year, decide to pull a crew out of town to stay on Mother’s Day, hire a brand new sub, take a shower in the bad guy’s room, leave some mail that he gives to the FBI, and then say that the FBI lies? I think he’s cracking. I have to take a nap so I’m up for Lauren’s piece. East coast here.

The fact that JP looks like BM and the room was actually in JP’s name clears up for me why JP felt the whole situation was set up for an alibi.

If cameras picked up BM going into the hotel and room, would the image be clear enough to determine if said person was BM or JP? Did BM check in early Sunday as JP? According to the Nancy Grace podcast, there didn’t appear to be a room reserved in BM’s name.

I now don’t think BM was in the hotel room Saturday night, as reported by DM, but was there on Sunday. BM may have believed room service would clear out the towels before JP arrived. MOO
