Ya know, I don't really see what JP said that would upset BM so much. Just the insinuations made by the internet that the chlorine was suspicious. JP really didn't say hey, Barry did anything unlawful. Just gave us all another data point of where BM was at one point between Saturday and Sunday, but we really don't even know "when", except LE probably has the phone pings. And the hotel videos, but BM would know about the videos, no? I would and I'm a Motel 6 gal.

Omg, that is why BM chose JP. He thought he would be a good suspect to hand over for his wife's murder, due to a prison record. Holy cow. What a pompous jerk! Moo of course.

The fact that JP looks like BM and the room was actually in JP’s name clears up for me why JP felt the whole situation was set up for an alibi.

If cameras picked up BM going into the hotel and room, would the image be clear enough to determine if said person was BM or JP? Did BM check in early Sunday as JP? According to the Nancy Grace podcast, there didn’t appear to be a room reserved in BM’s name.

I now don’t think BM was in the hotel room Saturday night, as reported by DM, but was there on Sunday. BM may have believed room service would clear out the towels before JP arrived. MOO

So, BM hires his own personal scapegoat.

I wonder if he did the same before leaving Indiana?

Why do I ask?

I find it nearly inexplicable that a couple who...

(1) grew up in and have longtime ties on both maternal and paternal sides to Indiana,
(2) have a daughter still midway through high school in Indiana with friends she's probably known her own life,
(3) have another daughter attending an out of state college (most such kids I know look forward to trips back home to see old high school friends),
(4) have plenty of lifelong friends and family in Indiana (including aging parents with health issues), and
(5) have a longtime established and successful landscaping business in Indiana.

... suddenly decide to pick up both personal and business stakes and move to another state 18 hours away where they have to make the personal and business investment to start all over again.

In their new community, they must: Make new family and school friends. Find new medical providers. Find a new church community. Scratch up new business opportunities. Establish working relationships with a whole new group of contractors or clients. Establish working relationships with a whole new group of crew members, sometime employees, or subcontractors.

It's not like BM worked as a professional for some corporation or firm which asked him to transfer and covered the cost of relocating. They were on their own.

That just really does not add up to me. Even less so once SM found she had a recurrence of cancer.

There has got to be a story behind that move and this throwing this new work associate under the bus suggests to me a hint about it. This can't be the first time.

I think he’s just mad at the fact JP spoke out at all! He was hoping this would all go away- I mean it had been so quiet for nearly 4 mos. now, BM thought he was in the clear.

JMO, but we might start seeing that temper emerge that others have warned about!

I might be confused here (totally possible!).

Wasn't the faulty wall in Colorado Springs? CS is west of Salida, the Holiday Inn Express is NE of Salinda, up by the SW side of Denver. Completely opposite directions. In addition, why would BM call a laborer he had never really met before?

Lots of questions to be answered here....

Well, JP did say he thought BM was creating an alibi for disappearing his wife. So there's that opinion now floating around Salida ...

If I had to guess - I would say BM's pizzed because his other two employees who were also at the hotel, kept their mouths shut. JP blabbed to the media. How dare this man who has been in prison cross BM?

Remember BM like to control & be in charge, JP is way out of bounds (in Barry's mind) ...
