Who is Dan May?
Legendary district attorney in El Paso County Colorado. A man not afraid by the lack of a body, and willing to go to any length to obtain the conviction of Patrick Frazee. He had to make a “deal with the Devil,” but it resulted in a slam dunk case.

His office also had a no-body case with Gannon Stauch, although his body was ultimately found after his killer’s arrest.

It sure seems that that was the idea. It's a poorly-executed idea, however. Poor JP! No wonder he thought he was being set up!

Just when I thought my opinion of BM's character was at rock bottom, he tries to pin Suzanne's murder on an innocent man. And he would not shed a tear or lose any sleep if it worked. I predict he would have been smug about it. Well this isn't going to work. Just makes you wonder what else he has done when he found himself in trouble. Moo of course.

No way! Not a good Christian man like BM!

They've worked together on the same project but JP had never worked for BM.
Then I guess I just wonder. How would BM even have his contact information?

I wonder how many towels he used up. It's not so much the mess, but I'd be POd if there were no clean towels for me.

RBBM

Kind of like Steve Martin trying to dry himself off with a washcloth in "Planes, Trains and Automobiles".

Hopefully, we'll know why many of the towels were used, along with the rest of the story.

JMVHO.

Bravo!

I love this statement by the CCSO.

It's superb.

Sheriff Spezze, I tip my hat to you sir. The fact that I'm not wearing a hat, notwithstanding.

JMO.

Me too! Did you notice they added the 11th Judicial District after CCSO, CBI & FBI? Is this the D.A.’s office?? That hasn’t been on past CCSO updates. Does this mean that they are expecting an arrest and that the case will be prosecuted? Maybe just SOP to add it but I’m hoping it’s a good sign!

Exactly.

Also, I'm not a full-on 'germaphobe'; but EW.
Your boss (that you haven't worked for before) sends you to a rental and he uses it before you ?
Tacky and unprofessional at best.
Imo.
And during a COVID pandemic? Jeez.

Wow, great catch. That is the DA’s office that covers Chafee County. Interesting that it wasn’t included until now.

Speaking Out, Because ... ?
When learning of a 'new person' entering the public picture of a crim case and being interviewed by LE, MSM, or posting in soc media, I ask myself ---
Q1. What's the incentive, if any, for this person to speak w LE or publicly?
Ex: $$$, love, hate, keeping a job, being a good citizen, 15min of fame, etc?
Q2. Does the incentive prompt the speaker to tell the truth, or lies? A specific point?

Esp'ly when new person has (had) crim conviction(s), I wonder if person might be facing another arrest, parole violation, etc, so is trying to curry favor w LE. Not saying it necessarily applies in this case.

JMO but I think he just threw her over a cliff in an isolated area.
You would think so as that sounds so easy. But the Frazee case comes to mind. Frazee knew his part of Colorado very well. He could have easily thrown KB over a cliff. But what did he do? Beat her with a baseball bat and burned her body. Go figure.

Could he have had a large wheely toolbox which he had used to carry something other than tools.
Perhaps it was empty when taken into the hotel room, but needed a good wash.
Hopefully no body in that large wheely toolbox, SM was small. moo

Top 10 Most Annoying Ways To Start A Sentence

2. LISTEN
This is far more grating than ‘Look’ because it’s a direct order to let someone foist their views upon you. Most people say this (and Look) as more of a tick than formally calling you to attention. But be wary nevertheless. They’re usually people so used to having one-way conversations that they won’t listen to you unless you use the same tactics.

JP may have just been bored out of his mind. He might have been down to snooping around the room, or reading the Gideon Bible. MOO.
Those hotel garbage cans are so small. The bags are always "blown up" so your trash basically doesn't go down. Any garbage would stand out in my opinion. And if your boss was a jerk, well I'd take a look too.....

BM and JP worked together on another job. This was the first time that JP was doing a job for BM. I think a lot of these guys run in the same circles and see each other on various jobs. MOO

The shirt that Jeff had on was from a local company that many of the players in this story worked for at some point. I think it’s like a lot of industries where everyone knows each other.

...yes, that is very, very interesting!
11th Judicial District, Colorado is the
D.A.'s office serving Chaffee County.
Great catch that you note it hasn't
been included previously!
