Not unusual.

For the late night sleuthers - this is what we’ve been discussing - inside infoHey there - sorry for the delay on this (I had stepped away from WS to spend some time with the kids). Here's what I have (hope it's worth the wait, lol):
So, my DW has finally given me the green light to share this (I haven't up to this point because she asked me not to):
She actually went to school in Indiana with both BM and SM. She was closer to BM, but knew them both.
So here's something strange that she actually called into the tipline a few months ago: she was FB friends with BM, but not SM. A number of her classmates were also FB friends with BM and not SM. As they were discussing this after the disappearance, many of them noticed the same thing. On the weekend that SM went missing, many of them had her pop up on their FB feed as "People You May Know" or "Friend Suggestions". My DW remembered it because she almost sent SM a message to the effect of "you never age", but didn't. She said she doesn't remember SM ever popping up on her FB under either of those categories before.... but that weekend, she kept popping up time and time again (and her friends said the same thing). She couldn't remember the exact timing of the suggestions popping up, but it was definitely Mother's Day weekend. Anyway, with the information that has come out re: the suspicious social media activity after SM's interrupted conversation with her friend - I think this all fits, JMO, MOO. I did a little research on the PYMK algorithms for FB, and they seem to be a bit of a mystery - but those suggestions are definitely tied to some kind of activity.... at first I thought it might have meant SMs phone (or other electronic device that she was logged into FB) might be close-by in Indiana, but I think that's unlikely - there was probably something else going on that triggered these suggestions. Again, JMO, MOO.
Let us know how that works.I'm going to test this on hubby's phone when he gets home.
According to DW, he was a very infrequent FB user. He used IG more than FB. DW doesn't recall seeing any posts from BM around that time.
The Regional Transportation District operates rail and bus transportation systems in the Denver metropolitan area. One feature is an express bus line (the Flatiron Flyer) that runs between downtown Denver and downtown Boulder along U.S. 36 - formerly known as the Boulder Turnpike. It has limited stops at Park & Ride locations along the way, including a stop very close to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites identified earlier as the place BM and his crew stayed on MD weekend. If the work was for RTD, the nearby Park & Rides (northbound and southbound) and the adjacent parking structure would seem the most likely location of the work.
BBMI wonder if IG works the same way with the algorithms - If for instance SM was snooping on BM's IG, rather than FB account, then maybe that would trigger friend suggestions as well. It could be possible that SM was suspicious about his story about needing to leave early for the job (most likely based on previous lies) so she snooped into his private IG account to read messages and discovered something, and confronted him Saturday lunch time...............
My i phone also links to contact phone numbers, because recently I added a new friend's phone number and she instantly came up in my friend suggestions on FB.

And we actually paid for them. Who knew?I re-read 1984 a few weeks ago! Yes, chilling. Waay back in high school (before Alexa), I wondered how Big Brother managed to get all those devices in everyone's homes.
Now I know.
BB didn't have to do anything- people happily installed them themselves because they wanted them. In the beginning, that is.
I'd love to know what time their security cameras stopped working. That's what I thought AM said, too. Could it be that Suzanne was texting with her friend with her phone and it ended at 2:30? Then the conversation continued on FB until 9:00 pm, and those were the messages that sounded out of character for her?
Yeah. We heard this rumor early on that their security cameras weren’t working days before Suzanne disappeared. I think this actually came from Barry, and was a lie.I'd love to know what time their security cameras stopped working.

I think he killed Suzanne, and then disabled the cameras.
The more details we get, the more belief I have that this was a spur of the moment crime, and Barry had to react quickly to commit a coverup. There are lots of ways to commit a premeditated crime, but I wouldn’t expect anything like this if that was in fact the case.
BM was an average student who excelled at sports.
He was a heartthrob (per the DW, just ask him, he'd tell you that) - lol
Perhaps because she was younger than the husband? And they wouldn’t share friends in high school because of the 3 year age difference ?I'm trying to catch up so please forgive me if this has already been asked, @Hoosierfan72, but it's curious to me that BM that would be the one with all the Facebook friends. I wonder why more of the high school friends weren't FB friends with Suzanne? For SAHM and cancer survivors, Facebook can be a resource that helps people process challenges and connect.
Also, it would be strange to me if my spouse were friends with girls from our SHARED high school that weren't also friends with me? It would just be, well, strange... I can't say I would trust old classmates that only friended him and didn't check to see if he was married?
Did BM's Facebook page feature photos of his wife? Did it mention he was married and link to her profile? If she was such a big part of his life and image, then why weren't more of his friends also her friends?
Thinking aloud and realizing this is very subjective, but I'm genuinely curious.
I think the DEEP and DARK web can circumvent this, but then again, no one would be using either to get to a Facebook. If FB also uses IP addresses as part of their algorithm, then it's one more reason for me to dislike FB!!
I know that google reads my IP address (laptop) to suggest things to me with my searches although I have my "location" set to "private."
I don't think it's possible to hide or set my IP address to private(?)
