Impossible. See steps 1-6 before a Trial.
Then why could a November election be an issue?

This is what I keep coming back to. A new life. With all the money. If you're familiar with the Chris Watts case, he murdered his wife and the 2 baby daughters so
he could start a new life w/ his young girlfriend.
He wanted them out of the way.
Might be the same here, just not as clear cut YET.
This is pretty much what I've thought all along. He went into a rage and hit her, and ended up killing her. However, it's way too late to come forward and say it was an accident and he didn't mean it -- he's been uncooperative with LE; blaming others right and left; acted unconcerned about his missing wife and has hidden her somewhere; and is unconcerned about his daughters' mental health or that SM's father is terminal. What if SM was the type of person to "go along to get along." What if BM was used to having the final say in every decision. What if BM told SM that he didn't want to go to IN for the wedding because he had a lot of work projects. Perhaps, SM decided (against BM's wishes) to go any way.
He comes home and "catches" her eagerly planning the wedding and her participation with her friend? BM might have said something like, "I told you we weren't going." SM pushes back and says, "I am going." This could have been a personal affront to BM's authority.
Some people who don't have complete control or feel as if they are losing control resort to violence to force the other person back into compliance.
This is what could have happened. If it were a physical fight that got out of control, now would be the time to step up to the plate and admit it.
All speculation and could be totally off base.

It’s almost incomprehensible that anyone could think they’d just be believed and left to live their merry life. But we see it time after time.
I think it was 'planned' in the sense that BM was looking forward to being the grieving widower. While waiting, he envisioned all the wonderful things that would fall into his lap -- all the assets, younger women bringing him casseroles, the community consoling him for his loss.Yep I keep thinking this. I wasn't sure to start with but now I think it might have been more planned than some people would imagine.
Busy, busy BarryLots of dirt movement on the Morphew house.

Yeah, I think LE has the chlorine smells all worked out. They probably know from all the cases they've handled and read about, why aRegarding the strong smell of chlorine in the hotel room . . .
Our condo complex has a pool and outdoor spa. Because we are a small complex, both are open to residents at this time, as long as we comply with COVID-19 rules.
We went for a swim last night, and I used the spa. Right before I washed my swimsuit, I was struck by the lack of chlorine odor in it.
I've got a pretty good sense of smell, and I barely noticed any odor at all coming from the suit.
Yesterday, I also used Clorox Full-Strength bleach to remove stains from a pillowcase. Now that was very strong smelling.
I had to run the washer twice just to get the smell out of the pillowcase. And this was after I let it soak in the sink in cold water!
<modsnip>Then why could a November election be an issue?
A strong possibility, and I am trying hard to make that solid with myself. Current hangups (I have a lot): Being narcissistic, a divorce in itself would be something he could blame on her, he could feel he's a financial genius and that he could survive without her, or her half of the money. To suddenly not have an ego would be weird. Also, the same tactics he's using to try wiggle out of being an apparent POI in a murder case, would have been available to try to wiggle out of any blame for a divorce/accusations of infidelity. MOO.
I fear I am over-thinking it. Your explanation is the cleanest and most succinct, making it the most likely to be correct![]()
Took photos today, still trying to upload. The only option seems to be to load from existing media.Where was BM's Project?
@Dagliesh bbm Seems like a good possibility. I wonder if there is a way to confirm this as BM's project.
Maybe take pix to post? TiA. Or find some pix/vid from traffic reports, from local TV?
Once our construction pro's here can see pix, maybe they can tell us if it is/was BM size job (2-4 person w. Bobcat?).
Or if it called for legions, like the Great Pyramid at Giza? *
@oviedo Does it belong on Media Thread for SM? Or elsewhere? TiA.

* OT fun fact, from Great Pyramid of Giza - Wikipedia
"... tens of thousands of skilled workers. Verner posited that the labour was organized into a hierarchy, consisting of two gangs of 100,000 men, divided into five zaa or phyle of 20,000 men each, which may have been further divided according to the skills of the workers..."
I’m still hung up by the drama of the strong chlorine smell. I noticed JP said it smelled strong. Even BM said he smelled it too. Yet the hotel didn’t confirm it. Usually when there is a strong odor in a room, I am going to contact the front desk and not sit in there for two days as JP said. I’m not sure I believe him. Maybe it was just whatever the cleaning staff used that day and has nothing to do with BM.
And then there is Suzanne’s brother saying he “heard second hand” there was a strong smell of bleach in BM’s home. And then he said he was asked if BM had any coolers at the home and Suzanne’s brother did NOT know, he only guessed a hunter would have some.
So I am left wondering if any of these things are true, or if this is people trying to put pressure on BM. They believe he is guilty and saying these things might break him?
I want to hear the facts from LE and sadly we won’t hear that until we read the search warrants and arrest warrant. All this hearsay only creates drama to me.
Thanks. I am always limited in what I think I know because I don’t use social media like FB. I do watch a couple of YouTubers but most of them are sensationalists. And the DailyMail articles are poorly written and often outright misleading. The home smelling of bleach was a rumor very early on in this case. It just came from channels that we can’t trust as sources. But it’s been out there for a while.
