She’s a fill in, with no prosecutorial experience. The election is in November, and I’m worried we’ll have to wait until after that.
I know nothing about politics at play here but, would the CCSO's office hold off on an arrest for that reason, if they were actually ready to arrest?

We can all be dead by Covid then.:D

MOO. ALL the whole DA office wants is a successful prosecution.

I’ve always believed this was a crime of passion, and that BM actually wasn’t a terrible guy before this event. The thing stopping him from owning up to this, is that he’s managed to justify it in his mind.

I think she learned something about an extramarital affair, or something financial, and she told him it was over.

Something scared him, enraged him, and caused him to lash out.

I don’t believe for a second that he will get away with this, and I think in the coming months we will see an arrest. I cannot wait for the day.

I agree.

If he’s the bad guy here, IMO, he was a good guy up until the day he killed his wife. Some event happened and he did the unthinkable. This was not planned in advance. Again, my opinion.

Why does this leave me with such a sickening feeling? Messaging ends abruptly at 12:30.... and BM is already meeting up with people by afternoon? Not too soon for that.

How'd he know where to find JP? It was the ONLY time he asked JP to work for him so how did that conversation, in person, come to be? Happenchance?

Did they meet up at the jobsite in Salida, where work may have been in full swing? Many trades. Or none. Saturday.

So.... how did he decide JP was the guy he needed.... and how did he find him?

All rhetorical questions, rolling around in my head.

JMO
I am wondering if JP had an older truck without GPS that Barry needed to borrow. Maybe BM’s excuse for no equipment at the job site was due to a “mechanical issue” or at least that will be what he claims. IMO

Did Morgan and Cassidy go to the Holiday Inn too?

CCSO can't arrest in a vacuum. You don't arrest without probable cause and DA on board with charges. Don't forget that Colorado doesn't use a grand jury to indict. They level charges and prosecute on the information.

ITA, there is no indication of preplanning anything, and IF he didn’t, he has had an incredible amount of pure luck, given all the tools LE has available... moo

They were part of the 3-person crew sent to Broomfield according to LS (as told to NG by LS). She did not provide any additional details but I think we can assume they were also booked at the same hotel. MOO

I believe the answer to that is yes, although I am sure someone can find a link to affirm. So would everybody go in separate vehicles? It’s a 150 mile drive. In my neck of the woods, I think some people would at least double up, as long as the expected return date was the same.

Well I happen to think BM WAS a terrible guy.

- we know he's a prolific liar, it flows right off his tongue.

- he does have a history of violence, per the guy in Indiana who had a fight w/ him on a job site.

- he was a controller, per anonymous friend of SM from Indiana.

- We don't know if there was marital strife or
violence toward SM behind closed doors.

- all wasn't hunky dory in the marriage according to SM's friend.

- as with other controlling husbands he isolated his wife away from her family and friends.

- he delayed even asking for help to find his missing wife. too soon.

- he turns everything into a monologue about
himself. Totally self absorbed.

- We still don't know the REAL reason they
uprooted their life and moved to Colorado.
Maybe this will come out or maybe not.
I suspect BM wanted a fresh start where people
didn't know his reputation.

So no, BM is not Mr. Nice Guy. He'll fit right in with the other personality disordered murderers.

moo

I’d like to take a shot at this.

I don’t know he’s been a prolific liar his entire life. If he murdered SM, yeah, he became one afterwards to cover up his crime.

Don’t know the details of the job site guy in IN. Maybe BM has been in a few bar fights in his life. lol This situation for me, does not put him automatically in a category that he abused his wife. It’s definitely a strike but just not huge for me.

We do NOT know that he isolated his wife from family and friends. She may have ended up loving CO and the life that they started there. Not sure. We also truly don’t know how close she was with family in IN. People do move away and carry on separate lives with their spouses & chilren.

He definitely gets a F from me on what appears to me, to be a hands off approach. What he’s doing behind the scenes. No clue. I despised his God statement and SM thinking this would have been worth it. Hog wash talk. He gets a middle finger from me on this statement.

Marriages fall apart to good people all the time.

If he killed his wife he should be given a fair trial & be sentenced accordingly.

IMO

Agreed. We tend to picture these guys as monsters from the beginning, but I just don’t see that here.

We have a guy with no criminal record, and what appears to be a solid and happy family. On the surface, they appear to be doing well financially. I think that was a mostly accurate picture, to a point.

Saying that he was not a monster until then, or saying that he didn’t plan this, does not mean he shouldn’t pay with his life (in jail). This was evil, and the charade negates the lack of premeditation.

Suzanne, a two-time cancer survivor, a mom, a wife, and a good person; did not deserve this.

Jesus, does anyone?

Not that's likely, but if it turns out that BM is innocent of killing his wife there will be a cart load of attorneys clambering to bring lawsuits against the multiple internet news outlets and online media commentators for eviscerating BM's reputation.

Luck? In what way.

Speaking of coolers, by request, I bought all 3 of my guys an igloo 120 qt. Last Christmas. Those suckers can hold quite a lot. No doubt someone as petite as SM could fit into one.
JMO.
Are these like 4 feet long and white? We have one too and there
Is no doubt my husband could stuff me into easily. IMO

Yep, that’s the one! Lots of room huh?

I really do not think he would risk taking a body into the hotel.
If he did dismember her, I think he would do it in the creek /river near his home, plenty of running water.

Yes Skigh, why risk taking a body into the hotel?
BM had time, space, and as you state running water nearby, if 'dismemberment' occurred.
But BM is crazy so, we wait to hear.
MOO.
