BBM:

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Hoo, boy.
Thank you for that.
I needed a good laugh.

BM, trying to "stick to the truth."

Good one!

JMO.
Im just glad this is one time the good ole boys club did not activate their shield of protection. The police could have just trusted BMs word given his association with the volunteer firefighters (I assume everyone is familiar with everyone), but they didnt they looked deeper and when he initially tried to claim he was at training, no one backed his story making LEs work much easier

Missing tools is a problematic thing for me. If I am not mistaken, BM was/is not a huge contractor with hundreds of employees.

My job requires that I do some small,, specialized contracting, and that I work with colleagues who have similar skill sets. I know my measuring tape versus theirs, my levels, drills, batteries,, and everything down to the Nth degree. And they do, too. It's not because we do not trust each other, but it's the way small companies work.

No small contractor would just "lose" a bunch of tools and not question that. No matter what those tools were.

Just another piece of weirdness in this case..

My $0.02.

Edited: Punctuation.
Losing tools?
Most workman would drive back to a job over a leaving even one small tool, like a hammer or extension cord and it is all put away in such away that they can see immediately if something is missing.

I wonder if it wasn't easier for SM to limit contact with her family in IN, than to deal with the fallout from BM?
Speaking from personal experience im friends with a couple, married over 10 years. husband decides to move the family from Michigan to Texas (they not a single person there) and then starts acting irritated every time his wife interacts with her family. He would literally shame her and complain what a bad influence they were (even though they weren't). it got to the point she would only communicate with her family via email to avoid a fight, so long story short I think this a common tactic of controlling husbands. they do it so slowly over time its hardly noticeable until one day the relationship is almost non existent

I honestly feel for you. Narcs are the worst when their angry. I cant even imagine what you had to deal with during the divorce or how much angrier or more devious it probably got. IMO "narcissists are more sensitive to stimuli that evoke negative emotions, more reactive to stressors, and less efficient at coping with stress." rings especially true. The universe at minimum owes you some kind of you survived divorce edible arrangement or something much better.

I have to hold out hope that karma will weight out the balances for people like this. BM will get the judgement he deserves
LOL, appreciate that, and hope you are right about karma.....

i really think BM was expecting this. special treatment from his "brothers." i don't think he expected LE to bat an eye at his story.

I find the latest orchestrated you tube coverage and organized search by brother - causing our Benghazi Hero's to join in search priceless...the usual suspect would be wise to take heed. IMO-God bless our First Responders- God bless the search effort.

I'm wondering if BM made two trips to Broomfield.

That’s where my head is at too. Did he speak to Jeff in Salida on Saturday, then head up to Broomfield, rent the room/s, throw down some tools, and double back to Salida/Maysville to finish up? And then back again to Broomfield. I am wondering about the timing for Sunday in relation to Broomfield. Was he captured on security cams at a time when it would have made it impossible for him to leave a sleeping Suzanne at 5 am?

I don't see many similarities between the two cases, to be honest.
Completely different motives, for one thing.

I'm convinced that the daughters are entirely safe, if for no other reason than because the perp knows that if either one of them were to come to harm, he'd immediately be toast.

Neither one of them are at risk, because the person who harmed SM can't risk harming either of them.

SM's perp appears to share many more personality characteristics with FD than he does JP.

I think this perp is a LOT like that infernal creep, Dulos.

JMO.
Hmm.
Think you are right. If he is involved it's greed and status.
How unloving and self aggrandizing that he interfere with Suzanne maybe taking some medically prescribed marijauna for the effects of chemo. Apparently it is de-natured anyway for anything but relaxation and appetite.

MOO hia lording over her then is when she had to face that he did not and probably never really love her.
As anyone with a loved one who has fought cancer knows, its a painful long fight that means everything is considered and used.

  • #150
Yes, I was surprised to hear that. Obviously, it could give them a better chance of finding Suzanne, so I understand why he is making the request.

No way is LE going to give that information out. For one thing, they should have already searched those areas themselves, or are at least working on it.

God love Andy Moorman and his determination to find Suzanne at all costs~ We should all be so lucky to have someone just like him in our lives.
I am bunches of posts behind but AM also stated (we have some specific tips on where to go or where to search) something like that. And it said it in relation to the two bengazi men they have on board.

Yep.
I have no problem with the PE guys sitting on whatever news they've heard from Lauren.
In fact, I would have been disturbed had they spilled, because it would have been entirely self-serving.

I think people are forgetting that LS is an investigative reporter.
She works for a news outlet. This is her profession.
LS is the one who got the interview, and was able to obtain new information.
This is HER exclusive scoop.

Her employer would NOT be okay with some YT channel releasing that story before they did.
Nor would LS.

I'm sure LS shared the info it with PE and Andy with that stipulation that they not discuss it publicly.
If the PE guys had disclosed the info last night, they would have burned their bridges with LS.
Guaranteed.

Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
This is how investigative journalism works.

Re: LS/MSM not releasing their story right away, I also have no problem with that.
They no doubt need to vet their sources, and possibly run it through their legal dept. for approval.
They also need to edit the piece, and LS may have wanted to talk to LE about it first, too.
All of which takes some time.

Teasers are part of the news industry: "Stay tuned, we have late-breaking developments, etc."
Teasers improve ratings, and ratings are the goal.

Welcome to Realsville.

JMO.
I get it.But I don't have to like it.:D

this is just IMO but PE has done a very through and accurate job in all of their videos. I believe the way they are discussing the case is an intentional choice directly aimed at BM. A controlling narcissist, who is obsessed with portray the image of a perfect family is going to be really bothered by potential bomb shell. He may trip up as a result of the stress. the FBI commonly uses this tactic in the media with offenders theyve profiled but havent identified . I dont think its meant to be disrespectful to SM or her memory
BBM
This is exactly what I think is happening. The prep just may panic and try to move SM. All eyes are on him.

How do I say yes, yes, no, yes, no, yes and yes again. And no, I didn't keep up, lol.

I don't think he was ever invested in this marriage as an equal partner. Suzanne knew her place.
Whether she was a grade school teacher, she was first and utmost his wife who cleaned and cooked, a maid and an asset. A very pretty one.

Then she was a mother to his children and did the same, without acting up or having a voice. Keeping the peace for the sake of her daughters.

Once she failed in her duties, she wasn't valuable. And, I mean all duties.
It was her fault she had cancer. Not his problem. He couldn't sit through ONE of her chemo sessions.
Don't even know why he showed up. Maybe it was one of his daughter's suggestions - hoping he may have some compassion for their mother.

I'm going to go one further (or twelve).
Suppose his fragile ego was butthurt that SM could no longer wantingly cater to him and his whims without questioning his love and care for her.
And/or/especially the and, suppose someone else was showing him interest that was all about him, fulfilling his needy psyche and all that entails.

It happens, especially when a partner has an illness. Wimpy *** only thinks about himself.
Then, SM is conveying, let's say, to friends that she's unhappy and is thinking of getting a divorce. Her husband finds out. She also confronts him about financial issues and a possible affair - let's just suppose.
Add to that, a large inheritance that BM may not have access to - not talking about the $500K that went into the CO home. That's fifty fifty, at this point.
I guess that covers it for now. I don't have all twelve in me, it's late, but there's more than that.
I'm not saying any of this happened or is relevant to this relationship, even though I do believe it all is, and more.
This is pure conjecture and JMO, my own perspective and my instinctive intuition.
IMO
I've wondered if SM's family in Indiana didn't
start getting a negative impression of BM for some of his past behaviors that he could not hide or that SM shared with them.

sometimes these controlling types want to separate their family from prying eyes that may know too much.
Isolate and Control.

His name possibly was MUD to her family.

There's just so much secrecy in this guy's behavior. So much he's tried to hide.

When all is said and done I think we'll be flummoxed at the deceit he's been involved with. Get ready as it spills out.

ITA. I think his name was mud in Indiana.

His image was tarnished and so in his mind intolerable. It all fits. No landline for example. He didn't want Suzanne in touch with anyone back home. He knew that they knew things about him. Suzanne was embarrassed and it was just plain easier to go along with BM. Isolation. Too bad his fresh start in Salida was unsuccessful.

I think his treatment of Susanne deteriorated once her mother died and he was successful in making her spend her inheritance on what he wanted it spent on. There was nothing left of value to him after that. When she became sick, if there were medical bills, she was seen as a drain.

I can picture Suzanne feeling sick from her cancer treatment and BM walking into the room, his eyes do not light up when he sees her. Nonverbal communication. She saw who he was.

She had no absolute knowledge that she would beat the cancer. When she did, that is when I believe she began reaching out more to friends, planned to have a life without BM. As an older person, I think the best was yet to come for Suzanne, had she lived. He would have been furious.
All moo of course.

IMO there is no possible logical reason to not give the money to the search efforts. Theres no excuse good enough to justify this. Its truly unconscionable and shows how little BM truly cares about his wives recovery efforts

Ah, but there is, actually.

I'm not a FundMeGo expert by any stretch, but I have organized campaigns for school related things.

On the public end, it always shows how much has been raised, and lists the contributors and how much they've each donated. On the back end however, every dime of that money could have been withdrawn the day it was donated, and the public would never know that.

It is possible BM had folks come in from IN or elsewhere, and it's also possible he used that money to cover gas/hotel or airfare or whatever expenses they incurred to get there or go searching (if in fact, they did that). We just don't know if that money is still sitting in the account or if it's all been withdrawn and used elsewhere, in a legitimate or even illegitimate way.

If used for it's stated purpose (or even if used for other things), then there is definitely a logical reason not to turn it over, since it's long gone.

While I think it's very likely BM knew people in LE in the area from his volunteer firefighting, it doesn't mean they liked or respected him. A seasoned LE person could have seen right through his bluster. And aside from what we know now, regarding the fast response from LE, I do wonder if he wasn't at least on their radar in some way, for something, before.

MOO

Not a little odd, very odd. It seems to me that BM didn't want any of SM's family to be in touch with her.
Taking out the landline as soon as they moved there?
It'll all come out.
I’m sure the SM’s children have access to social media. Remember that the older daughter attends college. Kids have ways to obtain electronic devices without daddy dearest knowing. If they wanted to contact the maternal relatives, they could. If not thru text or calls, private Facebook pages could be made to contact relatives. Burner/cheater phones could be obtained. I believe that overtime, BM has poisoned the children towards SM’s family.

Spezze looks hard boiled and like he has strong feelings about his protecting the innocent.
nothing makes me happier then to see a sheriff thats engaged and cares about the people in his community. They seemed to act quickly from the first missing persons report, which doesnt always happen in adult missing person cases (because in LE Opinion adults can leave if they want) so thankfully alot of evidence was preserved due to their quick action and in depth investigating. timing is so important in missing persons cases

Yes, and it seems like each week leading up to AM’s search is taking the leak of info to new heights. I doubt this is coincidental.

  • #160
Yes, very similar case for two other reasons as well.

Their communication styles, [the 2 husbands] were very similar. Both of them made a very brief statement at the beginning, telling what they think probably happened to their missing wives.

And that was pretty much it -- no appearances with family and LE before the TV cameras or press, to ask for public's help and prayers.

And both the wives had gotten a substantial inheritance, previous to their mysterious disappearance, in a remote park.

Oh, and in both cases, the husbands admitted to being the last known person to see their wives on the day they went missing.
Your quote: "Oh, and in both cases, the husbands admitted to being the last known person to see their wives on the day they went missing."

When BM stated that I nearly fell off my chair.
