Honestly, it might be not the newest one. A good example: about another condition, Borderline personality disorder, there was an interesting study linking the thinking pattern of borderline women with women on the spectrum... we don’t know what will surface about NPD. The same behavior, probably, has different underlying reasons in different people.
Respectfully I dont think its BPD, just to overshare my mom has BPD and I havent gotten that vibe from him at all. When I talk to someone with BPD I usually get a weird red flag, early warning feeling like theres something strangely familiar about the person but also im fearful of them and my internal red flag system was not set off by him (LV is another story) granted my personal feelings should not be taken as scientifically valid just JMO.

usually BPDs are charming, they make friends easy (but rarely keep them), like NPD they do care alot about their perceived image and always want to seem perfect, they are always the victim and the hallmark trait is being surrounded by chaos, whilst still appearing in no way at fault for the chaos. BPD's love attention and thats just not BM and while his failure to be a criminal mastermind is comical its not the type of constant chaos and drama that usually surrounds BPDs again IMO this is just from personal experience not professional

granted he could have some sort of depression or other personality disorder. its hard to gauge with the little interaction hes had with the media

Ya know I've been thinking about this. The chlorine smell.

Didn't the Holiday Inn state there was no pool and no hotub cause of Covid? And state they don't use bleach to clean.

Since March I've been in 3 or 4 hotels. All the pools were drained. All hotubs were drained.

For myself I haven't been able to buy bleach until last month. Others may have found an odd Home Depot or some dollar store have it, but no one could get their hands on it, especially in May.

With the chlorine or bleach smell in that room, the perpetrator had to bring it himself from home.

For some reason I think Barry's issues may be related to some kind of learning disorder. Over compensating for an undiagnosed disability. His word salads speak to that. MOO

I have wondered that too. It's quite possible to have both. Moo

I wonder if someone would use liquid chlorine to both clean and simultaneously ruin a tool or tools, giving them an excuse to purchase a new version of that tool and throw out the old one. Perhaps purchased from a retailer such as Walmart that would be open on Mother’s Day? Moo.
I had a few wine stains on my counter so I decided to lay a thin layer of bleach - covered with a paper towel -overnight. The next morning the smell of bleach was so strong - and it occurred to me that if that huge house smelled like bleach - just how much was used if this is true? I used a capful.

Concrete, steel and dirt would be materials. Tools are tools, Bobcats Trowel machines are equipment. I took JP's comment at face value...meaning hand tools. The materials would have been delivered that morning...or whenever the job was scheduled to start that day. Just MOO. Not criticizing anyone.

Wow...a little jealous here.

Thanks! The original DM Puckett article specifically stated no “tools”. So I thought they were referring to hand tools as well. If, as you stated, the materials would be delivered the next day, they would have been pre-ordered, correct?

Exclusive: Barry Morphew responds to explosive claims regarding the disappearance of wife, Suzanne | FOX21 News Colorado

excerpt:
But Puckett said the crew couldn’t finish their work.

“We had nothing to work with,” he said. And he described what would have been necessary in order to complete that particular job.

“Once you build [the wall] up, you run a layer block, some dirt, get [it] inspected, then you keep continuing until the next level – and there was nothing like that to work with,” Puckett said. “That kind of pissed me off, so I come on back.”

My long-winded point: Can you order dirt last minute, say, Monday morning and have it arrive before Monday noon? I assume you can’t order dirt on Sunday, so would Barry’s departure cause the materials to not arrive? I’m still unclear as to what was missing-tools, dirt, an actual wall to fix....

When did the mechanical thing with his bobcat? You think he brought it with him to Broomfield?

Still thinking he stole it from the hotel supply room near the pool. They have gallons of this.

Bleach is a very powerful chemical, the fumes can be poisonous and overwhelming. You only need 1/3 cup mixed with a gallon of water to create a disinfectant.

these are all great questions, none of which i can anwser, but IMO i believe moving to Colorado may have been a tactic to gain further control of the family and limit outside influence from close family members
Go on take the money and run woo hoo ........

This is exactly what I've been running through my head. What would make sense is to pre-order the job materials, the week prior. BM got the hotel rooms and the employees were in place to start work Monday morning. BM wouldn't have to be there that morning, the employees could tell the material delivery folks where to unload.

So what was the purpose of being there on Sunday? He could have arranged the transport of shovels, rakes, or other small tools with one of the employees. Was it the bobcat that needed to be taken to the jobsite but he took it back home?

Maybe the simple answer is he wasn't thinking clearly and just fudged the whole thing up?

I just wanted to point out that there isn't any kind of official diagnosis of BM being a narcissist (that we're aware of). This is just individual member's personal opinion, which is fine.
But let's remember to state it's "MOO" or similar so there's no confusion.
(stuff like this grows legs really fast).

Me again, where humor should not come in but here I am. With some of these discussions, I picture the narcissist in a enclosure, like the zoo, with folks talking about them as if they’re a science project.

IMO, the word/term narcissist is a overplayed & dare I say, new “buzz word” that many times gets slapped on a person in many of these cases. BM might be one, who knows. I just think there’s an insane amount of diagnosing this guy with all kinds of disorders and from my perspective, we the public, have only been given breadcrumbs of truths.

Anyway, I appreciate your post. IMO

Yep. And we do see that particular diagnosis offered in a lot of cases here. I'm a research doc, not a psychiatrist or psychologist, but I would find it very difficult to undertake a diagnosis of, say, a particular variation of a well-known disease based purely on 2nd-hand or imperfect data even if many or most of the standard diagnostic boxes were ticked, because I know I'd be wrong enough times out of 100 despite my clinical experience and prevailing probabilities, and any one of those might be costly. Offering an opinion, sure, but the modesty condition always applies.

I don't think that's really a risk here, of course, but the MOO/IMHO rider does seem important if only for not closing down the full range of ideas.

I'm reminded of something one of my profs said: "diagnostic categories inform human behaviour, but they rarely fully explain it" (paraphrasing).

Hoping that the upcoming searches and AM's ongoing advocacy help provide some answers -- this is a case that really takes hold.

When did the mechanical thing with his bobcat? You think he brought it with him to Broomfield?

I keep wondering about the timing of the bobcat 'fix'. BM brought it up as the only tiny little mistake he made when he was interviewed by authorities. Of course, that was apparently before LE revealed info from a neighbor indicating someone was apparently running the bobcat late at night at the riverside lot BM was working at.

What time did BM tell the authorities he worked on the bobcat? Whatever time he gave them would have been consistent with whatever story line he was telling LE. BM didn't seem to think it mattered either way - his story is still consistent even if he's been caught out lying about the time he did the repairs.

FWIW....every once in a while there's a miscarriage of justice. It does happen, even to unpleasant people. I don't think it looks great for BM right now, and the man we're seeing is clearly not appealing - but he's also under a great deal of pressure. I can't imagine how I would feel in BM's shoes if I were innocent.

I'm leaning towards money being at the root of this. I still can't make up my mind about whether or not it was planned. I am convinced he has 'secrets' that he's trying to conceal. Some folks have floated the possibility of another woman. I think another slight, but real, possibility is gambling - somehow BM lost a bucket load of money and didn't tell SM.

I mention this because I actually know a couple who were married 20+ years when he got the online gambling bug - he had never gambled before. She caught it in time, he had to go into in-house rehab, and they survived.

I cannot speak to the ordering of dirt in Colorado, but I can say for years I worked at a rock quarry, some of our orders were put on the books the day before most of the time if they wanted an early morning delivery. But we also had several customers who called all through the day and was able to get those orders delivered the same day. We also delivered top soil that was removed before they blasted for new limestone.
Again I can't speak to how that was done in Colorado but I don't see a problem with a landscaper being able to get dirt delivered the same day it was needed.

I was talking to @Seattle1 about the chlorine earlier, and I really liked her thoughts. I think this could account for the smell in the room, and Barry’s need to shower.

Barry buys or steals chlorine from the hotel, and uses it to clean the bed of his truck. It’s possible that he used the chlorine to also sanitize any equipment he may have used, to include whatever was used to contain Suzanne’s body.

During this process, he would have certainly come in contact with it. We all know how strong the smell of chlorine is, and that’s when it is diluted.

He’d need to take a nice long shower to get the smell off, and that room would still smell.

A question I have.
Assuming LE thinks BM transported SM in his truck (search warrant of his vehicle reported early on), with the CCTV videos LE can obtain, could LE piece together any trip BM took in the truck, accounting for time traveled between points of BM truck captured on different CCTV?
Video captured @ point A @ 5am, then video captured @ point B @ 7am? Remembering there are Hwy cameras, gas stations, etc, assuming all are time stamped. I have very little knowledge abt CCTV.
