Thank you so much for this Error
LS states at the beginning that she had a one and a half hour interview with M. I wonder if she will release more info at later time? Maybe I misheard that but if not, that definitely wasn’t an hour and a half worth of info released.

Sorry I meant to post this with the video

OK, at this moment in time, what do you believe?

1. BM lost his cool and committed a terrible act that resulted in SM's death
2. BM premeditated and then killed SM all on his own
3. BM did it, but had a bunch of help covering up, creating alibis, etc
4. BM hired it done and kept his hands clean
5. BM is a grieving widower, and has no clue what happened to his precious wife.

I've been trying to decide between 1 and 2, but have added 3 to my list of real possibilities.

Thoughts?
H'mm, I'm tossing between 2 and 4 at this point. We've still got one more cast member to take the stage though, that we know of anyway, but at this point lock in No.4. Why? The hanging out in the city area while Suzanne was possibly home on the phone, that's pretty interesting info from MG .... alibi set up, waiting for the deed to be done, per chance? Maybe assisting afterwards ......
Also wondering if that land purchase is somehow payment ......

The whole point of hiring someone though, is to distance yourself from the crime. If he had done that, then his alibi should be rock solid.

Not only is his alibi not rock solid, but it’s falling apart with each new revelation. That work trip was thrown together last minute, the condition of the room was suspicious, Barry left the wrong tools, never had the supplies delivered, and spent at Morgan’s estimation, 30 minutes or so setting up the job.

Hitmen don’t typically remove bodies, or stage evidence. If Barry did those things afterwards, then what was the point of hiring someone?

Personally I’m undecided as to if this was planned or not, or if Barry had help after the fact.

I'm really not expecting 1.5 hours of MG info released. This is the first person that went on camera with LS, and for clarification purposes, I would also expect that she also told LS things that were "off the record" -- possibly even how this event broke up her family -- something everybody has been questioning. MG owes us nothing -- good for her for keeping her family private. IMO, this is what sets LS apart as a professional journalist.

I just read over that press release one more time, and I gotta say, I’m stunned at the amount of resources that have been utilized here.

I get the impression that we know next to nothing as to the extent of the searches that have taken place so far, as it looks like many were conducted well outside of Salida (some of those SAR agencies for example, are some distance away).

The things that excite me the most are Necrosearch being involved, and the Sheriff and CBI assisting in this major search that Andy is putting together.

Suzanne may never be found, but it sure as hell won’t be for a lack of trying.

Good point. But wait ..... what if you said to alleged assassin, “I want it to look like she went on a bike ride”?
Why would he be hanging out in the town centre on the Saturday, what’s that all about? I get so suspicious.

I'm so pleased to see the Sheriff is supportive of AM's search. That is just fantastic.

It's so very very transparent, MG is a meth head and JP is a felon, so clearly, they are bad people, according to BM. No, I think they are both horrified that they got caught up in a murder investigation through their association with YOU, Barry.

Most awful commercial of all time! It makes me furious just to see it!
ME TOO. I don't even understand what they are going for in that horrible commercial. Am I supposed to take that dreadful witch's recommendation for cat food? ugh

ADDITIONAL PRESS RELEASE SENT AFTER MY STORY AIRED:

This is great news, and exactly what AM needs. And hopefully the weather forecast will continue to be good weather for such days.

NEW: Sheriff John Spezze sent a press release at 9:47 p.m. Thursday night. This update comes after FOX21’s Lauren Scharf has asked multiple times about the upcoming search effort:

“As part of this investigation numerous searches were conducted however Suzanne has yet to be located.

Andrew Moorman, brother of Suzanne Morphew, is organizing an independent search in the area of Suzanne’s disappearance. This effort will begin on September 24th and continue for the next several days. Andrew will be leading several hundred volunteer searchers from various towns and states in his effort to find his sister.

The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation want to support this effort. Although our team is unable to coordinate and lead this effort due to liability issues we want to support this effort in several different ways. We certainly appreciate this huge undertaking and want to offer support to facilitate their efforts.

We will be staffing our command post with liaison personnel to assist Moorman search members. Our SAR units will be on hand to assist with Moorman search team accountability and other search team coordination issues. Our crime scene team will be available to document and collect any evidence if found. We will have both Chaffee County and CBI case Agents on hand in this endeavor as well.

As with any major undertaking it takes many different resources to complete a task and we once again appreciate the Moorman Search effort and its many volunteers.”

I slowed that MG interview down and there is definitely some micro expressions that she is trying to suppress when asked about sexual relationship with BM. Maybe it’s just regret but I think something happened or she at one point had feelings for the guy. I don’t doubt that she is now horrified by him. And I don’t think she had anything to do with SM’s disappearance. But she really seemed to be holding some things together there. Also, she may or may not have a drug problem or issue, but I don’t think she is making any of the stuff up about the weekend. MOO uneducated as it is! I have watched several seasons of Lie to Me (great show) but I’m not a forensic expert on facial expressions lol.

This is private property and I think the 3- day search under warrant likely covered this area. The warrant is sealed. We don't have access to the info. I'm dying to know...

That might be tricky as it's private property and would presumably need the landowner's permission, plus it's not like those rocks can be removed without heavy equipment, and need a skilled operator to replace them, which means cost.

Did we ever learn who pays for the cost incurred such as when they cut into the concrete at that same property earlier, which then obviously had to be redone to permit standards?

@vislaw did find information from satellites the day of Tylee being buried which showed significant changes in the property. I wonder if such could be done in this case to show any changes made.

According to BM--
Worker #1: Drug user who builds crooked walls who is such a high risk he must be warned to stay away from BM's family, but not such a high risk that the Morphew's security cameras were kept functional;
Worker #2: 9 years in prison, so a liar;
Worker #3: Meth head, so a liar.

Sometimes it's really difficult to tell whether BM just exploits workers (i.e. paying lower than market labor costs, perhaps under the table) who've found themselves unemployable for one reason or another, or hires them as convenient scapegoats behind which to hide his own criminality.

Maybe it's a two-fer.

A reasonable person couldn't help but wonder whether BM did the same in Indiana and that's why they moved to Colorado. It might be worth investigating who worked for and became a scapegoat for BM there, but for the fact that they were probably never on the books.

I wonder if the IRS has ever taken a close look at his books.

MOO.
I don't know that many reputable, professional workers that would put up with the behaviour that Morgan describes. He changes the work dates over and over, pulls crew together at last minute, so they spend the weekend up there, but have no tools to finish the job, and just come back to town, without working or being paid.

Morgan mentioned that the tools were left in some sort of hotel cart, if I recall. I imagine BM transferred them in the parking lot, and rolled the cart to his room.

So when were the tools returned to Barry? Or were they?

Did those tools come out of the bed of the truck (because at one time his tool box in the bed of his truck was full of something else?)... or

Did those tools come out of the tool box in the bed of his truck at the hotel, and then soaked in bleach in an attempt to get off anything incriminating?.... Wonder if his tool box was filled with a bleach solution at one point also?

ETA: I would think if smaller tool, that if cleaned and dried with white towels, those towels would have rusty residue left on them. But, I have no idea what tools these were, so who knows.

Ummm, two men LINKED to BM? WTH does that mean? Personal assistants, his hairdresser and fashion consultant, henchman? What are we talking about here?
I'm still wondering if he had a side hustle going on, that helped him bring in cash.

Could he have been dealing Steroids? Or money laundering for some dangerous types?

Construction companies can attract mobsters.

One of my close friends had a very scary experience with that when she owned her own swim suit boutique. The owners of her building acted like nice guys, wanting to help her 'grow' her business, etc, etc....Helped her remodel using 'their' construction company....

Long story short, they ended up trying to steer her into money laundering for their illegal mob biz. It became very scary and she ended up closing her store and moving far away.

There's definitely something to the bleach. I think he filled the tub up and poured bleach in it and soaked the tools. Then dried them with all those wet towels. Or were the towels immersed in the bleach water? Why?
So, if the tools, why did he need to soak the tools in bleach? What the heck happened with the tools? Of course, I have some ideas.

I keep thinking back to the mail in the hotel room. Maybe she went and got it, and saw something that didn’t make her happy. Then she texts Barry, he returns home, and the rest is history.

I wonder if he had been keeping a large line of credit, against the house, secret from Suzanne? Maybe she looked at the mail that day, and saw that he had racked up a huge debt---which was based upon the 500k she had inherited and put into their home?

She could have been very upset about that debt, especially if she had thoughts of separating, and dividing their assets.

i'm just remembering how it was BM's army buddy that AM said disappeared during one of the initial searches, and that the item showed up in a spot they had already searched. i think that's damning for BM's little army buddy, when combined with MG's statement about there being a friend and a family member not paying her bc they didn't want it to look like hush money. add a dash of the army buddy being on the scene and mentioned in BM's little chat with TD, and well...not a good look, GD!

i'm a little shocked to hear that a family member could be involved up to his neck in this, but we all knew it was strange when that gimme fund went up with his name on it, and that he, the family mouthpiece for the fb page, went silent within days of SM going missing. and now i think it's safe to say his comment about the bike, and telling the public to ask the sheriff about it, was, indeed, a jab at LE. don't forget he also called BM "the husband."

when did BM's mom arrive on the scene? do we know?

eta:

*why didn't JP mention that MG was with him, in his interview with LS?

* we have 2 witness reports of BM acting strangely near water. the beach site that MG was supposed to work on, and when TD caught him wet and sweaty over by the bike staging. what's going on there? is this (the beach) where diver's were searching in those first days?

* why was BM frantic on sunday morning when he called MG to go to broomfield? that would have been way before SM was even known to be missing. i thought he had already planned that job, hence why he was up at 5 am headed up there, and his telling TD that he had asked suzanne if it was ok that he worked that sunday. so was it a last minute job, or was it a planned job? huh, BM?

messy, messy, messy.

(sorry for this post being all over the place, but i keep editing with little things that stick out, imo.)

I think this is going to end up being about financial losses and getting found out.

Question: Do you mean some sort of gambling addiction? Or poorly-performing investments?

I ask because I've seen no reports of Barry being a gambler, though he does have certain factors that may increase this possibility: he's male, middle-age, and highly competitive. Still, many more people share those characteristics and are not gambling addicts.

I have seen no accounts of Barry's investment portfolio, except for his personal residences (Indiana and then Colorado). While I have no idea what he paid for his Hamilton County home, having lived in Central Indiana for 20+ years, I would find it exceedingly unusual for a home seller to lose money on a residential sale in Hamilton County if s/he owned the home for more than 3 years.

Good on the Sheriff for supporting AM’s search. I honestly didn’t think it would happen and was afraid of a awkward showdown. I believe the Sheriff might be a tad out of his comfort zone here but it’s a good call, especially because I think AM is going to get a decent number of volunteers. You really do want them to be safe, not become lost themselves, assign people where they are most valuable, stay within the law and if by chance they come across evidence for it to be secured.

After listening to a recent interview with AM, I could hear the desperation in his voice about this search. He NEEDS to be in CO, feel it, see it, touch it, search it.

I even called a friend and asked if he would reach out to this poor dude and just offer some solid guidance, I knew he couldn’t take part but this really is a tough spot for some folks who want to help but must turn desperate families down. I do know of one guy who broke ranks and helped in a small private search but made it clear, not a single pic of him is to be taken, no social media, etc.. It was the same team who stopped inviting a dog handler to training sessions after she traveled from one coast to another for a missing person case with her dog.

Anyway, good move & I feel better for these volunteer searchers.

IMO
