We know BM has a dirt bike. I wonder if he has an ATV or quad? I know we've talked about it before, but I don't think anyone has ever determined if he does have an off road vehicle like that. I think an ATV or quad would be perfect for getting to hard to reach spots, and carrying large things, like a cooler.

Thinking back to cemeteries would LE check whether any graves had been dug ready for a ceremony on Monday. It would be an easy job for him to dig deeper and hide Suzanne.
Would any of his employees have a sideline job as grave diggers?
This sounds like a cross over episode where CD pops up out of nowhere bragging about his grave digging skills

IDK. But I'd bet he has an ATV. They are so useful for hunters. You can carry them in the bed of a pickup, unlike a bobcat.

I think one of the most telling things will be the particular areas that are searched. It’s entirely possible that Suzanne is located no where near Denver.

I think it all comes down to when he disposed of Suzanne’s body. He either did it before he left for Denver, or he did it on the way (I think he left earlier than 5 AM in that case).

If he did it before and returned home, then she’d be somewhere in the opposite direction.

If he did it on the way, he could have detoured. I just hope the searchers are given a general idea of where law enforcement suspects she may be.

Agree. Whether stranger or family IMO a perpetrator took advantage of the old unmodernized hwy 50 going south out of Salida.

Would an ATV have EVI ?

I agree that a run away or a person considering suicide would be drawn to a favourite place.
I do not think that BM would be thinking about places Suzanne enjoyed when deciding where to hide her.He would be looking for a place she would not be found.
Either BM remembered some place, he had been staying with SM or some place, she loved most, or he remembered, where other CO killers had buried their victims "successful" for a certain time (at least months until the victim was found). Something had to go through his mind; what was it? Did he feel less guilt, if he chose some place, where Suzanne would have liked to be forever? Or was his goal, to bury her, where she never would be found or late enough, that no MOD would be recognizable?

I think that is going to depend on the model. I know you can get them with built in gps but I don’t think they all come with that.

His goal was for Suzanne never to be found.

I don't know about anyone else, but it wouldn't necessarily occur to me that an ATV or quad would have the EVI. So I wonder if it did, if BM would know? I don't think that would be a spec you would really look at or for when you bought it.

Nagging me is the fact that the usual suspect- did not surround himself with church folk- but opted to "work alone" with a attractive "meth head" - and the appearance alone IMO must raise red flags with the daughters. If she does take a lie detector the question must be asked about "favors". IMO

iMO,
The last thing BM would have considered in burying her body was where SHE would have
liked or had been her favorite place.
This guy never thought of her first.
Everything was about him. He was most important so therefore I think his thoughts were
simply to get rid of the body and leave no clues.

I can't get into his head on hiding a body but I'd think it's be away from their home and where no one would be looking.
The Arkansas River near the Salida site has
very very swift fast running water in many pictures. That would be my first choice in searching but I think a lot will depend on the timeline LE has.
They know 'when' he had the time. They know
what type vehicle he had. Did he have access to a fishing boat? Any friends that are fishermen?

Other than the river, there's just vast amounts of undeveloped land around Salida.
For him, burial would be easy. Just drag the body in the cooler or wrapped in a tarp, and a
hand shovel. Very easy.
The hard part would be tracking the location.
That's where I get lost because we know so little. Hope AM gets more info than we have.

That's the thing, right? If he was on an ATV or quad that couldn't be tracked, went out into any of that difficult terrain and left his phone behind, I think finding her will be sheer chance. Or a confession.

I think we're giving BM alot of unearned credit if we assume he had the forethought to turn off both their phones.

Also love your tagline or whatever its called. Best wishes

I believe everything was handled by Sunday 5 am - I think there is some meaning to this time - if she is intact my guess is a 5 mile radius - with the house the center
JMO
I have though this all along as well, from the beginning.

I wonder if BM thought at long as he turned off the phones, he was good to go. Not a thought to the EVI, or GPS built in to vehicles.

I’m trying to catch up. I live on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and I’m currently huddled with my freaked out dog in the living room listening to continuous heavy rain and scary loud wind gusts. Hurricane Sally has us in her path and she is moving excruciatingly slowly. BTW It’s never a good sign when you turn on the tv for a hurricane update and there are three The Weather Channel reporters broadcasting from your city! :p Luckily Sally is only a Cat 1 but it’s tearing up our beautiful white sand beaches with the storm surge and many more areas will be flooded.

I just watched the PE from last night and was very impressed with Mark Johnson and his company Visual Law. It has been discussed up thread in more detail but it’s just so awesome they are going to help AM with the search! I can’t wait to see what happens starting on the 24th. PE is not going but it sounds like AM and LS will keep in touch with them because they said they will give nightly updates - so hopefully we will get to find out where they are searching. Since CCSO & CBI are assisting AM now the locations might be very telling. Andy seemed very down last night. He said he was exhausted but I also think he’s really sad. He said nothing good will come of this (search) and I thought that was weird but then he explained that it’s not good if he doesn’t find her and it’s not good if he does. Poor Andy, I get it. But I do think some good will come out of finding Suzanne...a proper burial, closure for her family and hopefully an arrest & conviction! The reality that he might actually find his baby sister is probably hitting him hard. IMO

I contributed to the search fund but wish there was more we could do if we aren’t going to the search. If I’ve missed anything in that regard please let me know. I really wish I could go and participate. It’s just too far and I’m a little to old to be hiking mountains in that elevation and also Covid. And I’m also more than a little scared of mountain lions, bobcats & pumas now! And bears! I’m an RN and thought about signing up to volunteer in a medical tent or pass out water. It’s about a 20 hour drive from Alabama. So if anyone from my area is thinking about going but doesn’t want to drive alone please let me know. It might be too late to sign up soon and I could still be convinced. :D

My thoughts & prayers to everyone else dealing with hurricanes...and wildfires. Crazy times right now! It’s going to be a long night because these roaring winds and creaky noises are getting scary but I’m going to eat hurricane junk food and Daisy & I ate going to hang out with you guys on and off this evening until I lose power and Wifi. :(
Stay safe. Panama City Beach Live beach cam. Not Alabama but close.

you make a really good point, im sure if he did think to turn off his phone that alone would have given him the false sense of security he was home free and probably didnt even consider the car(s)

warmest regards (apologies I will probably forever be slipping Schitt's creek jokes into responses to your posts)

I think even for people with little technical knowledge ,it is commonly known that phones whether off or on can trace your location,so I think he left his at home when he went to hide Suzanne.
It would also back up an alibi of being in his house at a certain time that weekend.

ATVs are really loud. Doesn't seem like the vehicle of choice for taking off into the night to hide a body? But I suppose if the location were remote enough, it could be a possibility.

I'm hoping that he thought that as long as he did not turn on the vehicle's gps, that he could not be tracked. Moo
