Regardless of the outcome, the search will bring press and more interest in Suzanne’s case. With that comes more scrutiny and talk about Barry. I’m sure he isn’t looking forward to that.
Yeah, especially since his most recent statement about the investigation was that he was shocked that there wasn't a poster of her in the Sheriff's Department.

Yet he fails to acknowledge the numerous agencies involved, the SAR search teams, trackers, dive team searches, drones used in several different areas, or any of the other resources that have been used to find his missing wife.

Does he really think people will believe that LE are wasting their time looking at him or they haven't been doing anything?

That interview with LS certainly didn't do him any favors. I still think it was planned that way. I doubt LS or AM really thought LE wasn't doing much because they hadn't released a statement recently. At least LS had to know they were going to give the public an update on the four month anniversary of Suzanne's disappearance.

Imo

His excuse will be that he didn't want to distract from the search because he is "controversial".

MOO
Well for starters I think it's "Too Soon"; in BM's words.

Thank you. I will tune in for this. I find this fascinating when you get to hear about ones potential screwed up noggin and the reason for their actions. IMO

He said Pueblo, but it is assumed he meant Poncha Springs, JMO.

I finally found the video where Andy talks about BM moving out of the house and into a Condo.

Below is where its at. Whew that took some effort.
Credit goes to @foxbluff in their Post #460 that helped me find it.

Discussion begins around 1:02:03

ETA---Shoot I cant link this as I dont think this is an approved link here on WS.....let me find another way so people can find this video....i will update this post shortly with search terms to use in YT....

ETAA----Ok....just go to Youtube first and use their search box with these words = "indy media andy moorman"
The very 1st video at top is it. Episode 19
That will get you to the video that has this

ETAAA---It turns out there is a 1-time exclusion to allow the link here so I have put the direct link at bottom.

Discussion begins around 1:02:03

The talks with Andy M goes into....

about BM moving into a Condo in "Pueblo" with one of the daughters

(Note that Pueblo may or may not be the correct city as we have discussed this before here on WS since Andy is not as familiar with Colorado as locals would be so he may have gotten the city wrong or it could be right.....just food for thought)

Now I’m wondering if BM’s reference to a “mechanical thing” with the bobcat would be removing or adjusting the GPS.

Could that be a possibility?

The search and the vigil are just a no-win situation for BM, IMO.

I would guess he will want to avoid that sort of public scrutiny. Too many eyes on him. Including LE's and you know they're going to have a couple profilers wandering around then.

It would be crass to start a pool on the excuse given, wouldn't it?

MOO

The ATV question has me down a rabbit hole. There is a powersports house in Salida, Co. Looks like they specialize in Polaris. Polaris does have GPS on certain models. Polaris started using Ride Command in 2011.

RIDE COMMAND: Touch Screen Display & GPS Navigational System | Polaris
There is also a Powersport Marketplace for Salida on Facebook.

There are numerous GPS tracking devices you can install after market.
Yamaha and Honda are also starting to put factory installed GPS systems in ATVs.
Honda makes a dirt bike with GPS that hooks up to your phone by an app.

Well that's very interesting, TexieLouWho21, thank you!

One would imagine that if Polaris is using it, other brands are as well, likely from the same time frame.

Perhaps he will book himself a room at the Holiday Inn for a few days!

Just watched the latest AM interview on PE - just have to say the depth of AMs emotion when he speaks about SM is such a stark contrast to the lack of emotion in BMs voice (assuming we don't count anger, which is the only emotion we've seen from him). Anyone would be lucky to have a big brother like AM, IMO.

I've been thinking about BM leaving at 5 am on Sunday and how strange that has always seemed to leave at that time. If we assume BM is telling the truth about when he left the house (LE certainly could verify per gps/phone records) - I don't think he left at that time to dispose of the body.

Per google, sunrise on Mother's Day in Denver was 5:50 am. I can't imagine a scenario that something happens to SM on Saturday afternoon and BM waits until after sunrise the next day to hide the body. So that doesn't really give him much time to go very far and accomplish anything in the dark. Also, wouldn't GPS data lead LE directly to any location that BM spent considerable time on his trip to Denver? JMO, but I think he dealt with SMs body on Saturday evening.

He certainly didn't leave that early to actually set up the job, if we believe MG's account. As I've been thinking about it, the reason that makes the most sense to me is the simple answer that he absolutely HAD to be on video (remember, he mentioned how the hotel has cameras 'all over') at the time that SM would normally be on her "bike ride". We don't know for certain what SMs routine was, but she was a regular biker and my guess is she had a somewhat consistent routine on when she would ride (I'd guess sometime between 8 and 9 am). I wonder if the mail left in the room is actually irrelevant to motive, but was just to establish BM was there and couldn't have been in Salida (you know, just in case the cameras weren't working).

Pure speculation of course, but that puts me squarely in the camp of thinking that SM is close to home. I hope the search efforts are successful in finding her. JMO, MOO.

I went back looking for the news story where Barry said it's "too soon".

Found this news story updated on May 15th, five days after Suzanne went missing -https://www.fox21news.com/news/local/family-offers-200k-reward-for-missing-womans-safe-return-no-questions-asked/

Snipped- JOHN SPEZEE, CHAFFEE COUNTY SHERIFF

The press release said investigators from the 11th Judicial District, Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Salida Police Department, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have joined the effort.

Someone brought this up the other day, but it just struck me again that investigator's from the DA's office have been on the case since the beginning. Is that normal five days after an adult woman goes missing?

Anything is possible. There may have been a time gap of a few hours where BM said he was working on the "mechanical thing" and it didn't match what LE learned from their investigation. Maybe he was actually somewhere else at that time, and he gave LE inconsistent statements.

Maybe that was his explanation for not bringing the bobcat to the jobsite in Denver. Maybe he said he wasn't able to finish fixing it and had to leave it behind. Although we don't know for sure if he brought it there or not. If he did he must have taken it back when he went home on Sunday night.

I wonder if he’ll plan a hunting trip as an excuse not to attend the search, which would be another bad move on his part. Would he have the audacity? We’ll see.

Your very welcome and thank you so much for helping me find it as I had not actually heard that part until now so I wanted to hear it for myself what was said.

I also didnt realize the link was ok here for that one. It is linked below and I will try to update my post #668 to include the link there too.

Great post.
I do really agree with you. I think that journey was part of his alibi,so he would go straight to Denver, without any diversions.

Excellent points, both about the likelihood of BM hiding SM's body on Saturday evening and about his need to be seen at the hotel in Broomfield around the time SM would normally go biking on a Sunday morning, thus the 5 am departure from Salida.

I agree that SM's body must be close to home. That is, of course, assuming no other persons were involved to whom BM would have passed SM's remains for disposal.
