Because of that note Barry allegedly left which mentioned the helmet, I’d put money on that being the item that was recovered.

As we all know, helmets just fly off when one is attacked by a mountain lion.

Kidnappers also do this, just because...

The PE website storymap for SM states "one item believed to be the bike helmet and one other personal item recovered".

Didn't AM or someone say Suzanne's phone last pinged at the house on Sunday? I'm guessing that would have been some time between midnight and 5:00 am, when it was powered down.

IIRC, AM said one of the investigators told him, SM's phone last pinged at the house. I don't think he said which day or even what time, just "at the house". I believe it was in the interview that was linked a couple pages back (the one time only approved link to a youtube channel).

Totally, his text just screams of some sort of inner turmoil.

I get the idea the third worker, along with M and J, has been trashed online, being accused of all sorts of nefarious things without a scintilla of evidence. So maybe from his point of view why not give the jackals something to talk about about. Perhaps not the wisest thing to do but under the circumstances understandable.

Just curious about the protocol for a big search like the one AM is organizing. This search is probably going to cover a large area and I suppose the possibility exists to find not only SM but they could stumble on others as well. If remains are found how do they determine quickly who they belong to and does the search continue or is it suspended while they try to figure that out?
I would think if remains were found LE would not want volunteers to be near that particular so they can begin to process the scene. I guess it depends on how likely it is that the remains could belong to SM. Imo

To me it appears more suspicious if there are no prints on the items found. IMO if BM and SM's prints were found, that would be explainable as they both lived where the items were kept. It's the absence of prints that raises concern... JMO
I was struck by the fact that AM commented that the dogs didn't alert to SM's bike. Wouldn't they have picked up on her scent simply because it was hers? Or were they just looking for signs of death?
Not skilled at this, by any means.
Does it mean her bike was wiped down well before it went into the ravine?
MOO.

Thanks for that link.
I'm still wondering, how we know it's allegedly for his mother?
Was that stated in MSM somewhere?
you're asking the same questions I did.
Usually when parents get older they're looking to downsize or scale back.
$165,000 is not a cheap lot, for a senior citizen,
especially if living alone. That raised my eyebrows first, then BM put it in his own name
only. Why? Why not in his mother's name also
or solely?
Notice this lot didn't close on the title til after the Indiana property closed. So until BM got his money he didn't buy the lot.
I'd say this lot is more like a future downsizing
for BM himself. Just my suspicions.

Have the remains found at the Disc Golf Course been identified?
Thanks for that link.

I think that part of the statement was speculation based on local hearsay. He did buy the lot and has been granted two permits.

Ok, thanks! So for all we know it could have been on Saturday that her phone last pinged.

I actually buried a large dog in the mountain canyon five miles south of Deckers, Colorado (72 miles northeast of Monarch Pass, off the route to Denver). The dog was beloved by everyone, so we did it at night, after the young guests of the summer camp had gone to sleep. It took three of us almost six hours to get a thirty inch deep hole large enough to respectfully lay the deceased. The "soil" of The Colorado Rockies is primarily heavy gravel mixed with small boulders, overlaid with about four to eight inches of humus from decomposed leaves, twigs, pine needles or what-have-you. Shovels and picks bounce off. We finally were able to make some progress with a World War II surplus Army "mattock" tool that someone dug out of their automobile trunk. I was the strongest and had the most stamina, so I did most of the actual digging and the others would relieve me while I drank some water and walked off the muscle fatigue cramps. It was one of the most physically challenging events of my lifetime. I remember actually praying that I would finish by daylight. IMO

Good post (minus the loss of the 4 legged buddy). & good info. Was there still snow on the ground Mother’s Day weekend anywhere, ground still thawing?

MOO.
it depends of the type of dog they used, some are training specifically to look for living persons others are trained specifically to look for cadavers, im not sure if they can be trained to look for both so I let someone else take that.... assuming they used cadaver dogs, i think its proof the bike is a red herring but if they were trained to look for living people i think this would also be a red flag... planted or not its still her bike so they should have hit IMO

Thanks Knox! Andy missed the item, but so did LE. LE let them search this area that they had already searched. If the item was there....and it could have been.
Moo
Can anyone remember hearing that one of the items found was her helmet?
Or the item was left after the initial search.........moo

Yes. It was a male who had been missing for several years.

Well DaveF just told us how difficult the digging can be in the rockies so-
For those who followed the Jennifer Dulos case,
a dug grave was found weeks before she went missing on private land owned by a Gun Club
that the husband's friend/atty. was a member of. the grave was later filled in and the lime or lie bags were taken away. LE and some of us suspected this was a pre-dug grave for one of the wives.
Maybe BM pre-dug a grave w/ his bobcat long before his whereabouts were under scrutiny.
So all he had to do Sat. night was deliver and cover. Done. Go home and go to bed.

Lordy, I hope they have video and gps and phone pings.

I ask myself, why would you plant more evidence? Do you think that will make LE believe there was an abduction, when the bike didn't accomplish that? Maybe. Moo

I've seen several mentions of this, but cannot recall where this info came from. Can you please provide the link where this was first mentioned?

BBM- I caught that too. So what sent them back to an area that had been searched twice already? They got cell phone records back and there was a ping?

Yes, my thoughts exactly. I think there are more items that have "yet to be found" . I also believe BM planted them and it's driving him crazy they have not been recovered as of yet!
