I haven't read that she had very few friends, but even if what you say were true, why would people not be moved by a beautiful young woman suddenly disappearing?
When I read "breaking news" about Suzanne, I saw a pic of her with her turquoise/baby blue helmet and I knew, I had seen the picture already before. Until today I don't know, where/why I saw her photo, but it was the reason for being interested in the story immediately.

If someone is a recreational/trophy hunter, is it a legal requirement for them to remove the meat/have the meat removed by another from the slain animal ?

eta - I am curious about BM's knowledge/skills of doing this

I am still left wondering why Suzanne needed to put half a million into a property they owned outright. Did she discover Barry wasn’t being truthful? Did the money go elsewhere? If so where does $500,000 disappear?
AM stated that he didn’t believe SM knew her father was ill let alone terminally. Small town talk may have led SM’s best friend to learn of her dad’s dire circumstances. Perhaps she in turn shared this info with SM requiring SM to return to Indiana/Michigan asap. If she had another inheritance coming to her was she ready to leave Barry or would she have refused to turn over any additional inheritance? If she learned of her father’s death sentence would she have told BM?
Wth does half a million go when the house is payed for? MOO

IMO, the $500,000 inheritance was part of the downpayment and this contribution is part of why they owned the house outright. The Colorado house was purchased in 2018 before SM/BM received the balloon payment 6/2020 for the sale of their Indiana residence.

IMO. Something I have been curious about, is why BM needed to clean tools with bleach/chlorine. I suppose he could have concealed SM in his tool box/chest for transportation, if his truck has one. Most of those have locks so no one would be able to easily have seen anything. My thoughts include the need to remove SM from the premises so a random abductor could be blamed if she were to be found? IMO.

I get curious when anyone connected with a case cleans objects with bleach, notably items that are not normally cleaned at all or at least on very rare occasions.

We don't know that this ever even happened, it's purely speculation as to why the room had such a strong odor of chlorine.

I don’t think that is an established fact. I think it came about when people were speculating about the chlorine smell in the hotel.

Several years ago a School Resource Officer told me there was an app (hopefully it's no longer around) that would allow text messages to be sent under a masked cell phone number. Example: I wanted to pretend to send texts from your phone number, posing as you. This app would allow that to happen. Apparently, this caused a huge problem at this High School where one female student used this app to pose as another female student and wreak havoc with "mean girl" antics. The victim never sent any of these texts. IMO
I heard about that app too. High School students were sending texts from their parent's phone numbers, excusing them from school. We got emails from the office saying we now needed to call in person to excuse our kids.

I don't know if that app still exists but I think it was called SPOOF. My daughter and her friends were messing with it and I gave them big lectures about how it could really come back to bite them.

What I did learn eventually was that the police could tell the difference. It fools people by sight, but with a warrant, the truth is revealed.

The staging of the bicycle for one. I don’t believe he ever imagined law enforcement wouldn’t buy what he was selling. He seems arrogant like that.

He apparently meant for it to look like she was abducted on a bike ride, while he was many miles away.

If they were to buy that, then no one would be searching his room (likely in his mind anyway). He was never supposed to be a suspect.

I imagine he was prepared to play the role of grieving husband, until everything went to hell.

“The best laid plans of mice and men...”

Sheriff not buying, a sudden huge group of friends of Suzanne all are a surprise.

I am not from Colorado but I have read some of Colorado rules and most of the main rules about anything like that are similar in most states.

The rule is really for the opposite of that.

If you harvest any large game animal, you are not allowed to just cut off antlers or other trophy parts and leave the rest. Most states require you to "tag" the animal with your name, hunting licence number, etc. as soon as you down a large game animal. Then you typically field dress it (remove entrails like stomach, lungs, etc) where it lays and then carry/drag it out of the woods (or quarter it and carry out in sections if large like an Elk) for further and proper processing whether by yourself or by taking it to a processing location. Most states require you to also "check in" and report the animal that was taken. Online capabilities are becoming more common for that part.

Even with road kill animals when I read Colorado rules about it, you are supposed to get a permit (road kill permits can be gotten after picking up the fresh road kill but you have a limited number of days to get the permit).

Under no circumstances are people allowed to just remove trophy parts and leave the rest of the animal lay. That will break rules for both regular hunting and the proper taking of fresh road kill if one desires.

Hope this helps answer.

Of course, I am also speculating. IMO

I'm dipping my toe in here slightly, because this is the week that hundreds of beautiful souls will join together to attempt to find Suzanne, even though the odds are against them, and her remains may never be found.

The fellowship and "try, no matter what" will hopefully guide and sustain the Moorman family this week and all the weeks to come.

There's no question but that LE has more information than anyone outside the investigation, except for the perp(s). That has been true in every case I've ever followed. That doesn't mean every case gets resolved or results in a prosecution and conviction or that it happens quickly. That's not being negative, that's just reality as I've come to learn.

Has anyone determined a definitive motive for SM to have been disappeared by a particular family member?

Do you think Barry’s attorney has sat him down and prepared him for how he should act and what he should do this week?

Not definitive. Speculation, she made him mad. Whether it was about a divorce, or she just looked at him funny, I have no way of knowing. Moo

I wonder if he told him to go hunting.

There is definitely a small black trash can sitting directly to the left of the front doors. (At least there was 05.18 when these images were last updated)
My question is, why that store? Why Poncha Springs?
And if he stopped there, after hours, to leave a note about her bike/helmet/clothing, did he stop at other little stores between home and Salida?
If yes, how come no one else has come forward to say he also stopped at their place of business?
That just strikes me as really unusual.

It is not realistic to expect *every* store management or employee to 'come forward' in public fashion. It also is not realistic to expect LE to notify the public that such-and-such store management/employee came forward with such-and-such info... unless it might advance their case.

MOO

Yeah I agree with you about him not anticipating his story being bought by LE - I wonder what clues were left behind in the home, because the likelihood is, he did not expect his home to be sealed off and searched as a 'crime scene' .
mmm. Maybe. Except there was a strong smell of bleach in the home from what I understand. So, someone was doing a clean up job probably in case the home was searched.

IMO most hunters dress their own kills, they first gut them, then quarter if it is elk. In my part of the country we have whitetail deer and the hunters gut them and hang them , skin them and cut off the meat.
