We have had so little info in this case, and now as AM has stepped up, we actually have clarification of some of our little pieces of evidence we’ve had...
IMO, We speculated that BM made up the lion story, not sure how that ended, pretty sure it was accepted that BM initiated it, tho.
AM has now stated that LE had seen lion in the area, AM also tells us, that mountain lion was actually lesser of evils to BM, as BM told him, if it wasn’t a lion, some one else had her, and was doing something to her.

So, hard as it is, we need to cross lion off as one of BMs self imposed miss steps, IMO.
I’m gonna keep revisiting, now that we have a brother’s insight.

I have hard time keeping up, what is the 3.5 window of opportunity from AM? That’s really useful, and actually works FOR BM as much against him...
JMO, nothing he has shown us, indicates a highly organized person, anything but?!
Yet he has managed to pull this off, with this ever shrinking window of opportunity...
So what did AM use to determine the time available?

The mountain lion isn’t the lesser of two evils though. If a lion took her, she’s dead. If she’s been kidnapped, there is still hope.

Very quickly, BM grabbed hold of this mountain lion theory, and he hasn’t let go since.

This is incredibly damning, as he knows better. He knows a mountain lion didn’t kidnap Suzanne, leave no trace, and throw her bike in a ravine.

But he pushes it anyway, because it’s a scenario that points away from him.

“Anything but me.”

According to BM in his TD interview, the neighbor then contacted him and he asked her to go back and check if her bike was there. The neighbor checked, returned home, and called BM on her landline and told him the bike was gone. BM asked her to call LE.

Approximately 6:00 p.m.:

(At some point, either Sunday night or Monday, volunteer firefighters were told not to participate in the official searches. BM told TD in a later video that his friend tried to stop LE from mishandling the evidence, which may have been the reason that they were not allowed to participate further.)

Monday 5/11/20

Time unknown:
-Concrete foundation is poured at the Salida dig site.

A.M.:
-Search resumes after overnight break. Over 100 LE are eventually involved including LE on foot, drones, divers, aircraft, SAR, Swift Water Rescue units, and various canines.
-BM calls MG crying and tells her SM is missing and that either a mountain lion got her or she was abducted. He stated they were going up the mountain to search. He tells MG and JP to stay in Broomfield and wait for supplies to be delivered for the job.

If SM seen on Sunday MOO it would eliminate BM.
He was in Denver. The HIE will have his check in time, which I think was on Saturday night. Confusing.
I don't think there is enough solid evidence yet to eliminate BM as a suspect. The timeline is still pretty fluid.

The possible parameters are still between 5/8 - 5/12, the timeline LE suggested they might be interested in looking at surveillance video.

Though LE stated, don't call us, we'll call you, I don't think we can assume LE didn't make calls to recover relevant video.

JMO, MOO, etc.

Ok, this might have been previously discussed, but this is my take on it :
IF LE 'mishandled' the bike -- that completely on BM.

Because they (LE) believed BM initially, and thought they were looking for a missing and possibly hurt Suzanne.
So why did BM hoot & holler about LE touching her bike or walking around the area ?
WHY SHOULD LE have been expected by BM to treat this like a crime scene ??
Because it wasn't one, right then -- as far as they or anyone else knew yet !
But BM knew it was evidence to a crime.
Or at least he's certainly been acting like it.
Imo.

Great work seeing it all laid out like that. Didn't JP say that BM called him on the phone around noon on Sunday, May 10, to confirm the job in Denver?

This could be the bombshell we’ve waited for, we just have to question the msgr?
IMO, we have had an incredible amount of speculation about character, but from those who know him best, truthfulness has never been a factor. IMO
WHY would he lie about this?

It would change the timeline but since we have very little details in anyone actually seeing BM Sunday in Denver, I dont necessarily think it will prove much by itself with regards to someone's culpability. We would also need eyewitnesses or cameras that actually saw him in Denver at the same exact time. The person who took over his room sounded like he never saw BM in Denver.

As far as why he may lie, well if he is guilty, then its either lie or admit the truth and go directly to jail. Pretty easy choice if he is guilty and does not want to go to prison for the rest of his life.

"My sister was murdered," Moorman said. "And she was hidden within a three-and-a-half-hour window. So that — I can draw a circle on that and tell you she's within that circle. And that's what I know happened."

This is so damn intriguing, and it tells me that LE has (at least) a pretty solid picture of the timeline here. That 3.5 hour window is specific. My guess is BM had his phone off during this period.
I'm dying to know how he came up with a 3 1/2 hour window. We've been looking at a 16 1/2 hour window (12:30 on Sat to 5 am on Sun) or even more (given the speculation that something happened on Friday). Even if we use the original Saturday evening timeline, that's still at least 6-7 hours.

@OldCop , I can't thank you enough for accurately summarizing this information.:)

We are 37 threads deep and it's hard to keep up on a consistant basis. Lots of information has gone round and round before it has been agreed on as fact. Makes it very hard for the casual follower to keep up.

Again, thank you!

ETA - For what it's worth, here is a DM picture of BM in the early days after SM's disappearance. In the background, there is a baby blue bike on a vehicle bike rack. No idea who's vehicle this is or who rides that bike.

So if the 12:30 PM Mountain time is when panic set in for Suzanne's best friend on May 9, then the window would close around 4 PM when BM was seen by JP in Salida. Is this what we are assuming?
I have so much hope this "army" of volunteers will prevail.
Please let Suzanne be found.

BBM:

That's not where my brain is tracking right now.
I don't see disposal of SM's body happening during daylight.

Here's what I'm currently pondering:

What if the digital evidence shows BM's phone being either turned off or stationary at the house, at the exact time his vehicle gps shows his truck traveling at an inexplicably strange time, like, say, the middle of the night, for 3.5 hours?

If BM's phone and vehicle were separated in the middle of the night, that would be an indicator to LE that it was the likely critical window of time during which SM was moved from the house to another location.

The problem with that line of thought is that if BM's truck showed him going to a location in the middle of the night and stopping there for any period of time, LE would have been all over that area.

So, I'm hitting a wall there, too.

Maybe it’s something like this:

Let’s say LE is confident that Barry did in fact leave the house at 5am on Sunday with Suzanne’s body.

Perhaps that 3.5 hours is based on dead time in between when Barry should have arrived at the hotel, vs when he actually did arrive at the hotel.

So maybe they have a last known location, then a gap, then Barry appears on the grid again.

-LE begins a search. Dog teams from the prison and County SAR teams are called in. (CCSO)
-BM started home to Maysville. (TD)

After 6:00 exact time unknown:
-JP, MG, and a third worker arrived at the HIE in Broomfield. It is not clear if all 3 travelled together. JP and MG both report that there was an intense smell of chlorine in the room and several wet towels on the floor. JP stated that it looked like someone had laid down on the bed, on top of the bedspread. MG stated that the bed looked like it had been slept in and remade.
-BM let workers know that he had left for a family emergency and that they were on their own. Workers allegedly found some of BM’s tools in a “hotel cart”. MG stated they looked like a bunch of tools from the back of BM’s truck. Both JP and MG indicated they had neither the correct tools nor the materials to do the job.

Sometime before 9:00 p.m. :
-LE allegedly finds SM’s bike down a hill about a quarter of a mile from her home. (Never verified by LE). There is no sign of SM. The Morphew home is allegedly sealed off.
-Friend(s) of BM arrive at search area (unverified)

Approximately 9:00 p.m.:
-BM arrives home.
-Friend(s) tell BM that SM’s bike was found and that LE mishandled the scene/evidence. (BM to TD)

PM.:
-AM arrives in town to help look for his sister, meets with BM and some friends, and they formulate a plan to search for SM the following day.

Tuesday 5/12/2020

A.M.:
-LE continue their search. No request for volunteers was made.
-BM, AM, and friends divide into teams to search. They were not allowed to search where LE was actively searching, but could cover area already searched. AM and BM we’re on separate teams. At one point, a member of AM’s team separated from the group. They backtracked to try to find him. He was later located back at the home where BM was staying. (On the following Thursday, 5/14/2020, a personal article belong to SM, was found about 20 yards from the trail where AM’s team was searching. Were they meant to find it? Was it placed there by the disappearing team member?)

Exact time unknown:
-MG, JP, and possibly one other person arrived back in Salida after no supplies were delivered to complete the job in Broomfield.
-MG was allegedly approached by two individuals connected to BM, (TN and GD), who told her she would not be paid for her time in Broomfield because it would look like hush, hush, money. MG also implied that she was asked not to cooperate with LE or turn over her phone.

8:00 p.m.:
-BM was observed by an employee of the Poncha Market digging in a trash can. (The market had closed at 7:00 p.m.) Upon being questioned, BM states he is looking for a bike helmet.

Shortly thereafter, BM taps on market window and when they let him in he stated that his wife was missing. When asked for a description he wrote a note on a crumbled receipt. The note said:

Baby Blue bike

helmet

Biking clothes

(No further description)

By Tuesday or Wednesday, CCSO has asked CBI and FBI for assistance.

Updated timeline was constructed based on LE info, MSM reports, and suggestions from fellow WS’ers. All additional comments/corrections are welcome. We may have additional information to plug in after the search this week.

"This is Gold, Jerry!"

Thank you so much for going to the time and effort to compile this timeline!

It's phenomenal. It's also going to prove highly useful.

I'm printing out a copy for easy reference.

I am crossing my fingers and offering my personal thoughts for a great outcome of this upcoming search!

I am also hopeful that we will get a press conference from LE. It will be extremely difficult for them to keep things quiet with this many people and rumors that are going to pop up. Hopefully all that are involved will be talking it up everywhere they go and with everyone they see. More awareness will help in so many different ways.

We don't know how AM came up with the estimate of the time window.
I agree w/ you, BM does appear to be a "disorganized" type perp. Maybe that's also playing into the statement that he did a quick dump and run. IDK, just guessing, but that's the first thing I thought of.
I'm pretty sure LE profilers have a pretty good description of type of perp here and his assumed actions.
There are probably hundreds of isolated areas within 40 miles of Salida, or on the way to Denver, where BM could have hidden the body within three hours.

I don't know about his being a disorganized killer, that usually applies to serial killers and often involves overkill, poor planning and little attempt to hide the body or cover up the crime.

It may have been a crime of passion, but there must have been some level of planning and thought into the coverup for him not to leave lots of evidence behind. Strangers who kill often don't make any attempt to hide the body but a loved one usually goes to great lengths to cover up the crime. If he had been that careless I think there would have been an arrest by now.

I think that's a distinct possibility - though sunrise in Salida was 5:56 am on Mother's Day, so that doesn't leave a lot of time in the dark. So I tend to think either he left the house before 5:00 or left and came back and left again at 5:00 and went straight to Broomfield. JMO.

JMO
Agreed, I should have qualified, putting a lie out there, to easily be questioned and corrected, just doesn’t compute for me. Guilty or not, that’s quite a time changer, for me.
I understand your point about actual verification of his presence, we have speculation vs fact with regards to that also, guess we need to ask JP, if the bleachy towels were warm or not? Sigh

. Regarding why he may lie, the PE guys interviewed Dr. Judy Ho (Clinical and Forensic Neuropsychologist) and she talked about how stress can alter someone's sense of logic and reason. It's very possible that the reality of this is starting to eat away at BM and he thinks he is making sense and in his mind being truthful. The real truth is in the details that we don't have. I trust LE will separate fact from fiction soon enough.

I do hope we get to see a real publicity stunt in this case - specifically one involving Sheriff John slapping handcuffs on ole' BM - maybe while he's coming out of church wearing his youth medium sized t-shirt, ideally in front of LS who has the Fox 21 cameras rolling. Just sayin'. MOO.

Yet he told the lion that he would pay him a ransom. No questions asked.
