Almost forgot....

* The bleach/chlorine smell at the house and the hotel room
* AM says that the CBI tells him the GPS data doesn’t match along with NOT taking a poly or voice analysis AFTER BM says he did so.

I’m sure I will think of more, but my mind is scattered right now after losing my beloved dog -Nola

Keep the posts coming because I’m relying on my WS family to take my mind off of it! :(
I think that bleach smell in the house immediately tipped them off IMO

so sorry about the dog pets are family and losing one is so hard - I waited 6 months then I somehow was talked into a rescue at the county shelter - best decision ever although it didn’t feel so at the time

Thank you so much for all you do NoSI. It means a lot.

Hi @kkdj, it's the very least i can do. I live in Colorado and this case has been heavily on my mind since Day 1. I want Suzanne home and BM not at home... locked up... never able to go on another hunting vacation etc. Wish i could be there for duration of search, but unfortunately couldn't work that out. :(

Apparently I read too many mystery/thriller/ suspense novels. Currently serial killers are main themes. Writers seem to be competing for the most gruesome, grotesque methods of sadistic torture they can dream up. Many claim to be based on true stories. Some actually are.
So yes, I think a lion is not likely to prolong the agony.
It also is probably the only way BM could exact revenge, of a sort. He could track the lion and kill her.

JMO, we’ve gotten a little too cavalier with our speculation on BM being guilty. It is still possible he is guilty of being lousy husband, but not a murderer.

One of these detective/journalists should track down the person that reported it to be a MALE mountain lion. I'm just amazed at how that can be determined, from a safe distance. IMO

Oh good grief. So sorry for your loss, Nola- RIP. :(:(
Thank you!

I don’t want to derail the thread, but we are just devastated by this. I have cried, and so did my hubby- he’s not a crier.

I can only imagine the pain of losing a spouse. I’m having such a hard time wrapping my head around BM’s actions or lack there of. I would be a basket case. JMO

Does anyone think BM is watching/reading about this case, beyond maybe stalking Fox21 news? If so where?
MOO? I think he could be beyond it. I really fear the state he could be in at the present time.
It's crunch time.He's in a helluva fix.
Seriously hope his mother or some other family member is by his side.
This could get ugly.
MOO.

So sorry Gigi, I thought you switched your avatar today, now the Fleur de Lis makes sense. Sorry about Nola, hang in there, it gets a little easier each day.

I'm so sorry you lost your beloved dog, Gigi3. The hardest thing about having a pet is when the day comes to say goodbye. When we say "Stay" to out dogs, we mean forever!

My guess is that there will be plenty here on this case in the next few days to keep your mind occupied, but do know that we will be thinking of you.

It really makes me question whether he has a lawyer or not?
If he does he is not listening IMO (due to his arrogance he knows best of course) - we don’t do criminal work but sometimes we assist and had a former prosecutor as one of our attorneys and always - every single time- the advice is shut up- don’t talk to anyone ....

If he does, then he can’t be listening to what his lawyer is telling him. Barry knows better apparently.

Every time he speaks, he digs a deeper hole for himself. Last night’s comment takes the cake though, when he called this massive search “a publicity stunt.”

So he’s hurting himself on two levels. He’s providing an account of events that could back and bite him in the 🤬🤬🤬 later, and he’s crippling what’s left of his public image.

I am all for keeping an open mind and exploring other possibilities, but I can't say I am in agreement with you on this - he isn't even being a lousy husband at this point, he is being a lousy human, full stop. Why has he not been scouring the surrounding area for his wife of 28yrs, the mother of his children, the person who willingly chose to share herself and her life with him all this time, stuck by him through all the good times and the bad (you know, previous issues in IN - his evidently piss poor choices when it comes to employee selection, seeing though, by his own admission they are 'meth heads' or 'been locked up') , where are the searches led by him to look for this beautiful woman, where are the flyers that he has made and distributed in his local community, why has he only provided 27 secs of video, why is he not begging the general public who may know something to come forward and share what they know? Where are the media pleas from him, why is it LS, PE, AM keeping Suzanne's face in the spotlight and not BM, why wouldn't he take a lie detector, voice analysis test, why is it that people from all over the US are travelling to Colorado to look for his wife, but hey, Barry will go if he is 'asked' - why does he need to be asked? Does he not have more right than most to be there, seeing though she is the love of his life ? and WHY for the love of all that is good, would he say that the search is a Publicity Stunt? I mean WTAF?! I guess I could be way off base here, but BM's actions or inactions (which IMO are far more accurate) is very disturbing to me and each time he does bother to say something, it is nothing that would show how much he cares for, loves, misses, needs his disappeared wife, instead it is all about Bazza and how he is being victimized, how everyone is lying about him, and so on.

BRAVO - Lousy Human sums up BM.

Disappearance? Divorce? Easy? In Absentia?
Cut and paste from previous thread, post 415 by @Charlot123
"... And given that BM seems to be exceptionally interested in money and probably against any charity, I can imagine a person disappearing willingly and after a while even divorcing in absentia (have seen in IRL, too), and maybe doing what one would deem necessary with one’s portion of the money....I’d personally go to one of the states where such type of divorce is easy, and stay low there for a while." sbm @Charlot123
Not sure if I'm following ^ post as intended, but hope if I'm misinterpreting, you or someone will respond.
Divorce that's easy to get? Current divorce laws in U.S. are radically different from to those of the last century.
"By the early 1990s, all states had relaxed their divorce laws significantly, effectively enacting no-fault laws..."*
Different from UK and other parts of the world.**

If SM disappeared willingly, wants a divorce, and files in CO or another state, and the petition is accurate, could that be a divorce in absentia? Regardless of state where she files, petition recites her address, and BM's address where he can be served legal notice of petition, etc. Notwithstanding his temp. or perm. move to another town, his location is not an impenetrable mystery. (If petition alleges his whereabouts are unknown, IDK if the required legal notice can be made thru newspaper publications or other methods.)

If SM files, her petition disclosing her location, presumably blips on radar w soc media/MSM and filters thru to LE. Then she's no longer a MisPers for purposes of CCSO's crim or non-crim investigation. No divorce in absentia.
If BM files before her return or before discovery of remains, and alleges unable to locate SM, yes, iiuc, that could be a divorce (attempted) in absentia, w SM being absent. Is anyone so tone deaf as to consider doing this? So oblivious as to actually do this?

jm2cts. As always, welcoming comment, clarification, correction, esp'ly from our legal professionals here.

Snipped for Focus:

NoSI, great to hear that you're going to be there actively contributing to the search!

<modsnip>

If you could let us know whether and/or what type (i.e., CCSO, CBI, FBI, etc.) of an LE presence is there during the search activities, and what it is specifically that LE appears to be doing to support the search efforts, that would be fantastic info.

If you're in the area of Puma Path, any traffic, store or other security cameras that you happen to spot nearby would be interesting to know.

Finally, if you spot Sheriff Spezze, please thank him for all his hard work and singular dedication to this case.

Thanks for putting your literal boots on the ground in pursuit of justice for Suzanne!!

Godspeed to all the searchers.

Jesus, take the wheel…and I say that reverently.
Amen.

I think Andy will know that he is doing every thing he can do to find Suzanne.
He will meet and make more connections with people in Colorado and make local people, such as hunting groups more aware of the need to look for Suzanne,so even if she is not found on this trip, locals will still be keeping her in mind when hunting or pursuing other recreational activities.

The added publicity could also result in more tips to LE or Andy personally.

I do not think Barry will be resuming any form of normal life.He has lost any respect he might have had in Colorado and with people who knew him in Indiana.
LE do not need a body to arrest him.
He has certainly lost the respect of most respectable law abiding citizens and alienated the meth heads. What's left for him. He only will truly fit in with his future cellmates. Moo

Be well and stay safe. :)

Another thing (among many) that puzzles me about BM is he says the media has been bothering him, and while I don’t doubt this, I have followed many MP cases where the media literally camps out in their yard. I haven’t seen any mention or pictures of that or any pics of him Or the girls out and about.

Yet, he willingly talks to LS to complain about his employees and LE. He only wants the media when it’s convenient for him it seems.

Well, he better get ready because I think the media is about to be all over that area and him.

Oh no. :( I'm so sorry to hear that. I'll tell mine to be on the lookout for Nola at the Rainbow Bridge. That way Nola will know where the best meadows to run are and where the best treats can be found!
