SM's Fam Possibly Suing BM? Or Requesting Info re Gdn'ship? Quoting from post 684 on thread 44
{{{ @momtochloe
Potentially the Moorman family could sue BM in civil court IMO May not help Suzanne or the family but it would be sweet if they won and took away all of Barry’s toys and property....}}} sbm
Not sure what SM's family might now sue BM for specifically --- somewhat premature for wrongful death action?
A possible alternative to that? IN Gdnship statutes provide a method* for SM's fam
(say, AM or other) to
monitor BM's actions as Gdn thru his ct filings, by requesting notice of ct hearings, pleadings, other ct filed dox, ct orders, etc.
At some point
(maybe even now?) they may believe BM is mismanaging SM's estate (whatever prop, assets, acct's that SM has/had, esp'ly SM's sole property), that BM is unlawfully
converting her $ & prop to use for himself, that BM is depriving their daughters of $ & prop to which they are entitled. If so, they can request the court remove BM as Gdn. And there will be a hearing, and
ct may remove BM*** and
appt another person as Gdn.
Would they be
successful in removing BM as Gdn? IDK. We don't know what other property or accts are held by SM alone or as jt ten w BM. Is it possible BM's withdrawals & transactions in those prop's or accts may be more
readily identifiable as being solely for
his own personal benefit.
jm2cts. Welcoming comment, clarification, correction, esp'ly from our legal professionals.
I'm not saying BM would spend gdnship $ in amts like this or so egregiously, but a couple cases come to mind:

- A new-ish widower spending $100,000+ on dancers in a
gentleman's club VIP room.
- Another widower w mysteriously-vanished wife, spending $ 200,000+ on pole dancers, before and after hours, etc.
Sounded to me like cases of bogus Dom Perignon and a lotta lap dances, etc.

Emphasis on the etc. Esp'ly the etc. Don't overlook the etc.

But I could be wrong.
